Re:CREATORS is really at its heart more a show about the struggles of creating content in a crowded medium than it is about cool fantasy characters having a big battle royale, and that initially hit me as sort of off, but that ended up resonating with me quite substantially.
What really struck me about it was how polished the whole experience felt. There are definitely a lot of problems with it - the cast is larger than the show probably needed, the narrative feels a bit cobbled together, and it felt like there was way too much of the Creators talking about their feelings when I wanted the Creations to show their stuff instead and a lot more problems besides, but I still came out of it feeling extremely satisfied with the experience.
Also, it concluded with finality and it concluded well, and that's something that not a lot of anime can really attest to. Also, Meteora is one of the most wonderful characters I've ever seen.

Exactly; it's a fine show if you don't come at it expecting The Next Big Thing because it's very much not that but I think it's definitely the best show Troyca's made and it entertained me enough to like it pretty much the whole way through.

This is a good example of a show who's MC isn't the center of attention, in fact, he says at the very start he was pretty much a spectator, just an on looker at whats happening

Imagine if troyca have actually managed to secure a crossover, and they actually bring in Guts and have him go through the plot points and development like Alice; and then bring in saber and shiro instead of selesia and her serie's MC... etc I could go on, but this show could have redefined the whole anime genre like marvel redefined superhero movies!!!

It felt weirdly literary for a Crossover Battle Royale show. "Oh, this character arc represents death-of-the-author in a very literal fashion" kind of thing. Great analysis of a great show!

Magane is my favourite villain for this show. And probably one of my favourite characters.
Those thigh-highs are gorgeous.
But that aside from that I have a massive like for the fickle trolling neutral character.
Altair was a walking big blue ballsack of unresolved and undeserved moments.

Yeah Sawano uses this 1 big DROP in most of his anime works, BUT he has so much different stiles....7DS sounds totally different from his other works. AoT has one of the best OSTs i have ever heard. His real TV music, especially his Drama-SHow music is beautiful, his radio music with his group of singers, electro music,... For me one of the best, if not the best composer for pictured entertainment ever.

Also i'm pretty sure Magane was hinting at something when she pulled his face into her crotch. I can't believe he didn't even go for it after she basically saved the world in his name.
Seriously though, I think this is a valid use of clichés, you can't really properly flesh out that many diverse characters while keeping up with the convoluted plot.
I do have to say, Meteora did kind of feel like a walking plot device, making claims with basically no evidence about a world she did not know existed a day ago. The other big problem i had is with the ending.
warning: Theory time
It didn't really sit right with me that that their was basically no difference in the end depending on who died or not. I mean if the story can branch out to revive a character, then unless the author made the secret real life events cannon, they go back to how they were where the story left off. So it follows the version that "went back" to their worlds must lose their memories or be replaced by their branched self that never left. that is the only thing i could figure with the rules we have. So while it is just based on extrapolation, the last episode just kind of felt like Meteora letting the creations off themselves.
The ending also felt kind of "lonely" to me. I mean I just got the impression that they all more or less went there own ways after saving the world, and Souta even implies he hasn't seen Meteora in a while. Not to mention Magane is not even mentioned, noone cared, noone even considered that his might happen again.
TL;DR: I was terribly confused and disappointed by the end. Good music, good idea, good design(s), but garbage pacing, easy to break world rules, and giant unanswered questions made it go to waste.
if i were in that show, i would make meteora or make another character that can go back in time or someone smart enough to build a time machine to prevent altair from being created P_P

My biggest issue with the show was the cheap ending. I found the villain to behave very "unnatural", as if they decided that ending the show was more important than the villain's number 1 motivation. Well, that and moments of bad writing in general.
I would still recommend it though, there is enough good writing to make up for it.

Damn, I've been trying to find that happy medium with every new video and usually the complaint is that the music's too quiet so I made it a bit louder than it would've been normally this time. Guess that didn't play out well. Glad you liked the video otherwise, though!

I've actually been meaning to for literally years, but I know I'd need to rewatch it at this point and it's not where attention is currently, but yeah, it's definitely something that'll happen eventually. Just perhaps not in the immediate future. If a season 3 airs, definitely as soon as that finishes.
