hahhahaha... Thanks, Jeff! You only hear the gimbal whine indoors when the motors are off. Natural sound usually drowns it out but I see your point. I'll definitely do this. By the way, I'm starting my own cooking show too!
7demo7 On a side note Bluflyertv, I've never flown any aircraft, how do you like your wing? Would it be hard for a beginner like me or should I get something easy like a Bixler? Addicting hobby....
Love the wing but not a beginner plane though. Bixler is a good entry level plus a good fpv platform too. I always recommend the Champ from Hobbyzone. Horizonhobby sells it too. It's small but durable and easy to fix.
7demo7 I learned on a bix3 and had fun with it. Great plane that handled a lot of weight and an FPV set up. Then I ran it into the ground... Back to my drone haha
blakeyoself they only set the pwm on low, to save battery life as long as the pwm rate doesnt get too low, stability will never suffer actually, the higher the pwm, the less noise and more accurate the system will be. sensitivity and calibration affects stability more

I read that Low pitch will consume less bat power. while High pitch use more power. I have a number of pc's and laptops, got one to acknowledge and I dl all gui's not one matches up, for me. I am awaiting one more board with 3.5 fw hopefully properly set up. Thanks 7Demo7 It was very helpful.
fishy, make sure you have the correct GUI, for this board you need the 2.2, nothing else will work. I know you were having issues with your gimbal, pause my video when you see the settings on the Basic tab.
The one i bought from foxtechfpv.com came with this option already selected! It's not related to the fact it is a cheap chinese brushless gimbal, it's just an option provided by the alexmos software since earlier version lol
7demo7 Apparently it uses MORE power when in silent mode and is reported less precise. Some people have assigned a switch on their control to toggle the mode, so they can set it to noisy outside, or when far enough away from their ears
Hi Buddy, I long pressed the button and the gimbal stopped functioning so i disconnected the power and reconnected, there was no green light just solid red aand now it wont connect in the GUI software as well. Please help. I've tried a lot of forums but no luck
7demo7 I can't get my gimbal connected to my iMac, i have a brushless gimbal. or maybe i am using the wrong version of the application. The only options that i can choose from is /dev/...... to connect with.... what to do?
Hello! I bought the ebay gimbal and it is very noisy. I found your video and am trying to download the "SimpleBGC GUI V2.2" but I cannot find it! I need some help! Also, my gimbal when the plane is tilted down the gimbal jerks real bad. I'm 68 years old and not too techy! Can you lead me to some help? It would be much appreciated! Your friend in Christ, Carl Covey.
Make sure you download the drivers for it as well. It may be Bcg instead of bgc. Once you have the program you should be able to reset the accelorometers and gyros
I got myself a RTF gimbal from China on eBay and its programmed for a gopro, so if you have a different camera on it like a Möbius, the jerking is most likely caused by the difference in weight, try get your other camera to 73grams(weight of gopro) and it should be balanced and therefore not stall when it tries to bring itself back to centre.
Make sure you have the version 2.2 downloaded only. Also you must download the drivers. I believe the drivers are on the same page as the 2.2 download area
Hi! I'm wondering if you have any idea why my gimbal only works when I have the board on the gimbal plugged into my computer and into my phantom? If it's only plugged into my computer the LEDs turn on, but won't stabilize, when I then connect it to my phantom it starts stabilizing, but when I then unplug it from my computer it completely turns off. I have the same gimbal as you and have gone through the BCG software
There is significant difference in torque from the high PWM setting and the Low PWM setting. The larger the gimbal the more you are going to notice :) If you mount the gimbal on a drone and wont use the audio i strongly reccomend having it set to Low PWM for the extra torque (you can't pid more torque the way this addes. this changes the whole power delivery from slower and longer lasting pulses to short high speed burst once)
What setting in the BGC software can be best used to set my camera so that it's facing slightly downward (I am trying to avoid having my props in the scene). I am not sure if this can accomplished under the Basic or Advanced tab and which setting I should tweak. Any thoughts?
You should see a red button on the board, press it once while powered on, it will go limp, position the camera at the angle you want and after 3-4 seconds the gimbal will re-initialize at the new angle
OMG, you are my HERO! You have saved yet another whining gimbal from the trash can! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!
Scritley Thanks for commenting! Please sub if you haven't already!
A huge thank you. What a simple solution to a very annoying problem.
Glad to help, please subscribe!
7demo7 I just did, thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you! I have the HMBGC board that uses BaseCam 2.2 and it's dead silent now. Stability doesn't seem to be compromised either.
Glad to help!

yeah, this is the first time ive jumped into the gui, I'm not great with computers, so this was a challenge!
Thank you! ...now I got two working gimbals, haha! bought a new one because of the noise...
glad to help,,,,
urely there is some trade-off involved. Else the setting wouldn't exist or default to 'High' (noisy)
There's not, my first board had the silent option already choosen, ran fine for 8 months till I shorted it out
7demo7 Well why would the option exist then? ;p I'll have to research it further
I actually think the silent version- you can dial down your pid gains, it also has less errors
7demo7 Apparently it uses MORE power when in silent mode and is reported less precise. Some people have assigned a switch on their control to toggle the mode, so they can set it to noisy outside, or when far enough away from their ears
But, how much more? I would guess it's not significant

Why did you long press the button? I have no clue what to do.
I was trying to manually calibrate the acceleratometer
Thank you. You saved me from stamping on my gimbal to shut it up!!!
Lol, you're welcome!

or maybe i am using the wrong version of the application. The only options that i can choose from is /dev/...... to connect with.... what to do?
I'm not sure if the GUI is compatible with a Mac- never had to try it
Crap I have a Mac too...
Good deal, helpful.
That's my middle name,.....

What is that?

Where do I get the drivers and the program? I sure appreciate you taking the time to help!
Carl Covey Is there any way to tell what firmware this camera has?

7demo7 it is bgc it says it on the gui halfway through the vid
I couldn't get passed the error message on the simplebgc GUI of "select port where device is connected" Any advice would be much appreciated :)

I've purchased the goodluckbuy 3 axis gimbal with storm32 board. SKU 112965
Will this software talk to that type of gimbal board?
sorry, no clue,,,,
+7demo7 no worries. Maybe another viewer may see this and comment. Thanks.
thank you so much !!!
+Flagador TV Glad to help...
Can someone post where to buy this Chinese gimbal?

thanks for video. Sadly, my gimbal wont work with high freq, gutted...so have to stick to the noise
you the man!!
glad to help....
Link?
Thank you!
Link to what specifically
To download simple bcg.
Thanks!
Is there a link where to purchase the gimbal?
Ill pop it up there in the next 1-2 days, busy busy
Just search ebay for "
phantom gimbal and a ton will show up

What battery are you using?
Any 3s.

Thanks bro that was driving me insane

Can you use a separate battery for this gimbal? And if so, what voltage do you use?
