I love when they do call backs to the Mountain scene. In GMK, Godzilla's first full appearance in daylight is also standing over a mountain looking down on his victims.

The fact that the roar sounds so broken just adds to how deeply these two gojis are connected!!! I didn't even realize how Noriko falling in the street was so similar to this scene! 🤯

No need for that. The original is perfection in every way despite is technical limitations. No need to destroy masterpieces. I guess you are one of those who were glad Lucas redone and modified the original SW trilogy to be more colorful and stupid.
I love the edit...but to be quite frank: the original shot always looks the best, even though it's a puppet. It's real, not CGI. It's organic, not digital magic. It's physical presence makes it all the more real, and thus more frightening. Plus, the older design of Godzilla was just far more disturbing, rather than awe-inspiring...which is why it works the best, IMO.
It's also that specific demonic roar when he's in intimidation or attack mode. You can hear it's slightly different from the roars used in the opening credit. More brief but much louder.
Imagine that Godzilla Minus 2. the next movie (if toho have it planned) is a recreation of the 1954. i mean if in minus 1 is in 1947 and the first one in 1954. now imagine that years later after what happened in 1947. it rise again in 1954

I like to think that Minus One Godzilla after being defeated returned to the island to heal and thus we get this scene and the reason no one knew about the first attack in Ginza is that the government covered it up by saying it was the Americans

初代リアルタイムで見てた世代とかでは全然ないので、思い出補正とかはないと思うんだけど、
純粋に「恐怖」という意味では、やっぱ初代の左右非対称な感じとか、顎がズレてる感じとか、目の焦点のあってない感じとか歪な肌の質感とかのほうが「怖い」と感じる。
デザイン的にマイゴジは「令和にデザインされた洗練した感じ」というか、なんかそういうのを感じてしまうんだよな‥‥。
初代のほうが怪物感が強いですね
時代が進むごとに洗礼されていくのはいいけど作り物の印象が勝ってしまう
めちゃめちゃ綺麗に合成されてて驚きました。

It's real, not CGI. It's organic, not digital magic. It's physical presence makes it all the more real, and thus more frightening. Plus, the older design of Godzilla was just far more disturbing, rather than awe-inspiring...which is why it works the best, IMO.

やはりゴジラは中にスーツアクターの中島春雄さんが演じるゴジラが一番好きです、何せ中島春雄さんがゴジラに選ばれたのはファイヤースタントを日本で一番最初にされた方だからその度胸で選ばれたのでしょうね。
初回ゴジラの出演者とスタッフの方々を尊敬します、特に芹沢博士役の平田昭夫 さんはゴジラをオキジェントデストロイアで倒しそしてウルトラマンでゼットン倒したミサイル発明、幼心に凄い人と思いましたよ。
