Michael all your vidroh are amazing but can you please make an advanced video on all synth parameters using serum. With that I think many of us will able to choose and more importantly decide what sounds are we looking for
To the young mixing engineers who feel overwhelm bout the number of plugins out there, just remember you can do a perfectly fine mix with 2 plugins that are already in your DAW. An EQ and a compressor. Matter of fact, sometimes you dont even need those plugins if your signal was recorded in a great studio/room. You can EQ without a plugin simply by using microphone techniques like, stepping away from the mic during a loud section... You can compress without a compressor using volume automation. Your mix quality is dependent on - The artist recording skills and performance 50% - Instrument arrangement. Panning, volume, cut edit 40% - Your plugins 10% Try do most things manually so you dont use too many plugins that will take away processing power. Cheers.
hey sorry for irrelevance but do you know how to recreate a sound similiar to the one at 0:09 in this song - ruclips.net/video/-VXIcgf8biU/видео.html&ab_channel=IDJVideos.TV thankss
Heyyyy, thanks for using my new song Michael! Just so everyone knows, you can download the stems to this song for free. There's a link in the description of this video. Enjoy!
Hey Michael, I'm pretty sure most people didn't catch it but DOPE new LOGO intro u got there. It's short and sweet and PERFECT! Good job to whoever created it - the animation was wise, creative and fits the channel.
My good friend Matheus Costa made the intro! He's incredible with animations and made it so much better than I could have hoped for. I added the music and then it was done :)
Just a protip, you could use a throwaway email by searching 10minutemail. It literally takes less than a minute to use, you get an anonymous email that lasts for 10 minutes. Unlimited signups on all free things from now on! 😉
The TDR plugins dont't require an email or mailing list, some of the other plugins are very powerful and might benefit from maintenance through an app (like aquarius)
I don't understand why not registering. I know it's a free plugin but even by giving the company your email, it will help them for the future either on promoting new stuff, for feedback on their plugins or getting notified for future free plugins. Also if u change computer in the future or reinstall your OS you have to do the same procedure again. So why not have an account.
As a beginner in producing music and sound engendering I've always found your tutorials very informative and helpful to my work. I'm using cubase currently but you just make all DAWs to be so easy to use. Thank you very much. From South Africa
Man, this Coral Plugin is a real gamechanger! No matter on which of my songs i put this it sounds instantly more interesting. Thank you so much for these tips. If you have more of them pleace share with us 🙏
There are a lot of good channels with some pretty good content out here. But whenever you recommend some software or... anything actually.. there is no further research needed. Thanks Michael 🤘
And I was actually downloading plug-ins yesterday for mixing and mastering. What a great timing! Been following your channel for a month now and I only see good videos :D
Every single video since I have discovered this channel is mind blowing for how professionally it is made. Clear, structured explanations, great editing, and most importantly a visible passion and dedication for this craft, which is so encouraging for us viewers to give these things a try and learn music production. I can't thank you enough for all the work you put in 🙏🏼
Yknow what... It really shows that Michael wants to teach others with their ease bcz he Actually gives Timestamps and not every does that so Thank you!!
Michael your videos are the best on youtube. undisputed, you tell all the information we need, you talk with calm and clarity, its all good. Congrats :)
Coffee EQ and Titanium ARE HUUUUGE, for everyone who are struggling with bad audios or hours on EQing they are game changers, 1000 thanks for this dude
I usually never comment but just wanted to express my appreciation of who you are and what you do. Great person = great content ! Lots of love to you my man and keep this thing going for us all to grow and learn
Thank you for this... very kind you have put all links in description. Helping a lot of us producers out here get inspired with new tools. Thanks again.
Hey Michael! Your videos are Amazing. Please make a video on Phase-issues: Sometimes you say that things can sound "phasey". I would be nice if you could elaborate on that, show some examples etc. All the best
Amazing video, super nice insights and not too long to get boring and turn into a str8 up tutorial. Not gonna lie, some of these plugins and companies I've never even heard of so props for shining light on them !!
please note that am a very huge fan of your channel iv learned a lot and i really appreciate a lot although i have a very low cpu computer with 2gig ram but as soon as i afford a good one ill buy all essential vst and plugins keep up the good work and keep the videos coming
Micheal(In The Mix) you guys are real genius, you have inspired me so much and because of that i even went as far as creating my own RUclips Channel all because i was inspired by you. Thanks for being a huge source of inspiration.
don't know if anyone has brought it up, but SPAN has a routing mode where it shows you the levels of both mid and side signals separately. you can see there if your side channel is getting out of control.
Your videos are immensely helpful! I'd love to see something about live drums and rhythm section in general. Thank you for work and this awesome list of free magic!
Coffee looks like it was modeled on the famous Pultec eqp-1a, which means one can do the "Pultec Trick" -- simultaneously cut and boost the low frequency by roughly the same amount.
Thank you for showcasing these plugins! My personal favorite free plugins are BBS Symphony Orchestra and Labs from Spitfire. They have some really high quality instruments.
This guy is a legend! I too use those plug ins and are very useful. Id reccomend all to get these plug ins and start training your ears and not your eyes. Good luck.
I remember last year I literally was so confused on FL Studio it looked all complicated to me, I searched for a tutorial and stumbled across your video on the basics and started getting addicted to learning FL Studio tips for mixing and production and honestly if you didn't exist I would be using sony vegas pro or some crap for music, thank you In The Mix :)
Can you make a video about where to start (not FL studio but music production as a whole) if you know absolutely nothing about music production? Like the jargons and concepts you need know to know when starting music production? That would be very helpful.
Really love your tutorials Michael... I started producing music watching your and @asherpostman tutorials.. you both perfectly contradict each other and complete the knowledge needed to be a successful producer..♥️ Big fan.♥️
Always coming through with the helpful videos appreciate you man. Also for the span to those whom may not know, if you click the down routing arrow and select "mid-side" it'll also show the side information just change the "underlay color" so it shows up! I just figured this out but unfortunately FL doesn't offer a mid side eq so be careful with how you're eq out low side information.
I've been looking for a thunderous eq to go on the drum bus. Been using slick and it's really done the job, Never quite been satisfied with the kick. Coffee that's all I'm saying. Excellent recommendation thanks Sir👌
@@inthemix I think it could be a bit congested though, a lot of EQ choices. Right now I use the stock parameter EQ and TDR Nova. Which among these in the video is your most favorite? The one you go back to the most?
8:31 FL Studio has a stock plugin for this actually! Fruity Stereo Shaper can isolate mids or sides, including soloing or splitting left and right. It's more complex, but the presets seem like they do the same thing as the buttons in bx_solo
Bro you are the best, like really bro, you help me alot mith my music, i live in manado (indonesia) and music in here is so low quality, because producers in here didnt have a proper education about music. Thankyou so much
One other Free Compressor I Use Specifically on my Percussions and drums is the Rough rider 3, it has presets that add crunch and may also do clean compress.✌️

This is true but it comes down to your frequency for vocals and the beat.

So true in many ways... don't overlook this!
