I know they mess with Bates, but Nate asking if he needs a minute because of the headache is the genuine friendship that keeps the pod going. Happy 200th sode!!
I was looking to make that same statement. Very well said.
“CPAP”
Bates killin it
He came in so fast with that 😂😂
Thank You for 200 wonderful episodes. I hope the podcast continues beyond 300 pods.
Hey Bear 💙💙💙💙
A would pay actual money to see the BAND go help Dusty at his cabin
100% yes
I 1000% agree & I have faith in the creativity of the people in & behind this podcast to deliver epic content on Dusty's land.
Yes, unedited of just Dusty telling the guys what to do and watching them become more and more upset with time lol
They all gotta run a 40 yard dash!
Do we sit on bleachers and watch??
Dusty reading adverts for all these things he doesn’t believe in, that’s peak irony
“Racoontour” is a great name for a comedy tour. It’s so close to raconteur - a person who is skilled in relating stories and anecdotes interestingly or in a humorous way.
it's also a cool band name
I was thinking the same thing! ❤
Thank you for all of the effort it has taken to give us 200 episodes. I started with episode one during covid and you guys have kept me company daily for nearly 4 years now as life has continued to be difficult and taxing. I have listened to every episode too many times to count as I keep them on repeat, but it has helped me so much to have my ‘friends’ keep me company and make me smile through this crazy hard life. Seeing you all with happy, growing families is such a blessing. Thank you for sharing your time with us!
Aaron looking like Dora the Explorer with his “backpack, backpack.”
someone on the Facebook page said it looked like a first day of school pick standing by his two dads lol
"Are they gonna get a rug out of it?" nearly made me spit Dr Pepper on my keyboard.
Great stuff, Dusty Slay being Dusty Slay.
Happy Birthday Daisy ❤🥰🤗🎂🎁🎊
This is literally the only podcast that I've listened to since day 1 and I'll never stop. I look forward to every Wednesday. You guys are the best. Thanks for everything you all do, it doesn't go unnoticed.
Was able to score front row tickets to Nate’s show in Lake Tahoe a few weeks back. The tickets just happened to be right in front of the stages stairs. The show starts and 10 minutes into the hosts set a small child began to slowly walk up the stairs. I looked around for the kids parents then noticed it was just Nick Novicki. Love y’all!
I don't think anyone is surprised by the Dusty ball pit. 😂
Bates is getting funnier and funnier!!!
What's in the backpack? Brian: CPAP 😅😅😅
Your Ad reads are so much fun, nobody wants to skip them! 😂🙌
Aaron screaming the second prenounciation of “data” during the ad read after being told it annoyed people had me bursting out in laughter. So good. And I was one of the folks it annoyed.
Since we've heard from Laura, it would be fun to cycle in Lucy, Hannah, and Ruth. Let's meet these guys better halves!
Oooh I second this!
Congrats BAND! here's to 200 more
I love it when Nate talks serious about comedy and hearing stories about his time and experience in New York and the comics he was there with.
I think Nate sees the hate comments and forgets that so many people support him with everything he does. We enjoy the comedy talk. We enjoy all the things he does and is trying to do. The supporters are usually more quiet than the haters.
No wonder Bran Flakes’ head was hurting! Did you see the ravine that hat left on his forehead?! That bad boy was so deep it needed a truckload of Dusty’s rocks to fill it in.
I love Dusty, but it’s hilarious to have possibly the least trusting member of the podcast, when it comes to the medical community, doing the ad read for the doctor service.
This was one of my favorites. Nate seemed back to his humble caring self. Liked seeing him supportive of Aaron.
It's nice to see the whole BAND together again, because without Nate there it's just BAD. Just kidding of course love every episode. You guys rock
As a 61-year-old single woman, I especially love that Dusty and I have almost exactly the same hobbies. I also have a surplus rock pile on my property that I am dreaming up plans for, but need some dudes to help lift them - I'd even welcome Brian :) Love the podcast, and I'm looking forward to seeing Nate tomorrow night in Sioux Falls, SD! Keep on rocking, guys!
Aaron and Dusty are like kids in the back of the classroom when Bacon Bits calls on Dusty to read the ZocDocs ad out loud. Aaron can't hold in his laughter when Dusty says "telly medicine" and like a great friend helps him out by agreeing with him while Dusty reads. Keep up the great work fellas!
The guy asking about good names for girls made me realize that all of the Nateland daughters have what my friend calls "old lady names". I named two of my girls Cora and Stella, and that is when i was informed that those were old lady names. Luckily that seems to be a trend, and I personally love the names. Daisy, Eleanor and Harper are beautiful names as well. I can't wait to see the newest Nateland baby.
It's been fun getting to know you all over the past 200 episodes. Horse Divorce lives rent free in my head to this day. And my two cents is that adding Dusty was a great choice. He's funny and his point of view leads to a lot of the best moments with you all.
I was at the Asheville show, Aaron’s head tilt on his head shot picture looks like his high school prom picture. Hahaha! All you guys killed that night, hope Nate finds a place for the dinosaur joke! Congratulations on 200!
Aaron looks like the guy you want to hug but he’s not into it. Brian looks like the guy that wants to hug you, but you’re not into it. Dusty looks like the guy that hugs everyone, but doesn’t wear deodorant. Nate looks like the guy that only gives side hugs even to his family.
Thanks for the laughs, gentlemen. You are all hilarious
I loved all the bear stories in the comments. My husband and I had a mama bear and 4 cubs cross the road in front of us on our way home from Nate’s Asheville show. Of course I had to yell “Hey Bear!” I don’t know if that was her Christian name but she definitely turned around.
Just saw my first comedy show in Rockford! Nate was so professional during a medical emergency, how do you decide whether to acknowledge it or continue with the show. Love the pod! Let’s go folks!
Happy 200 Natelanders! Thanks guys for one helluva ride. My Wednesday ritual is listening and laughing to you 4 while I work on the laptop. Onto 300!
I was at Aaron’s show in Lowell, AR and, while his opener was on, a large hooded figure came walking up behind and startled us. It was Aaron on his way to the bathroom and he could not of been more conspicuous! Congrats on 200 fellas!
Started watching this podcast because we love Nate, but now we love dusty, Aaron and Brian too!
When Aaron reads Data data it always makes me laugh!
That Gary Vider episode was gold. Like a documentary. And Greg’s are always top notch. Especially when we thought he was going to be the 4th pod member 😆 and then got dusty. Love ya dusty
Hello folks and hey bear ❤. Love you all fabulous 200, so glad you’re all here 🥰🤗🙌
How about Theo Von as a guest? He’s your neighbor, so be neighborly!
Congratulations for making it to the 200th episode! Thank you for the 2 hours worth of laughs.
Dusty, you need to get rid of those carpenter bees asap. They are invasive and will destroy the wood all around your house.
Thank you for keeping my mind at peace and laughter in my heart for 200 long drives during my work day. You guys are lifesavers!
Good to see Nate Barbargatzee back😅
We need an episode on sleep apnea. Considering Bed, Bath, & Beyond and “College Boy” both use CPAP machines and the other 2 could probably benefit from a machine, this would make for a fun sode. I also have sleep apnea, and like Aaron I earned it. I actually use a BPAP machine, it’s like a CPAP, but different. My machine changed my life!
Nate is back in more ways than one!
I like the specification of “all beef hot dogs.” As if pork and beef have conspiracy theory attached to them, and that’s why he doesn’t mess with them.
Aaron does the best ad reads! I would suspect in Nashville voiceover work would be easily available and he's got a great voice for it.
Happy 200th fella’s. And the way Nate looks at elevating himself to the next level in his career is solid advice that can be applied to any career. I’m not mad at him for sharing what’s been working for him. Love the pod and thank you guys for keeping me company on my long commute to work.
I saw Nate in Des Moines last night, took my wife who had never listened to any of his stuff. I was worried and you all did not disappoint. She is a new Folk! She was even 8 and half months pregnant and uncomfortable and was rolling out laughing the whole time. I also wanted to apologize on behalf of the lighting crew, wow that was crazy. Also, Graham and Julian killed it with the crowd work. Let's go folks!
I found it funny that Dusty said Raphael is his favorite Ninja Turtle and his shirt has a pair of sai's on it.
"That's Eleanor and Daisy, and they are sad." 😂😂
Blessings to you all, 200th🎉🎉🎉episode, you guys make my week.😂😂😂😂
You guys are the best. I’ve been listening since episode 100, which I listened to you as I was moving my sister to Florida. Thanks for the laughs and good memories on the long drive down there and ever since.
Aaron’s parenting tips:
“He’s gotta learn”
✅
Super great 200th episode !! Loved it ❤ All of you guys being there together is perfection for me to watch 😅 Aaron has the best laugh though, every time he laughs,it makes me laugh 😂 Hope none of you get tired of doing this podcast "AWESOME" Please keep the longer episodes too 😊
For Dustys bench, look up damage from a pileated wood peckers. They will tear up some trees going after food, and they have incredible hearing. It's unbelievable the damage they can do.
Ohhhhh, this is a good suggestion! I bet you are right
New to the podcast but have gone back and watched almost every episode! Im laughing with yall every show! We just got back from a cruise and i realized when i was talking to people i kept saying, 'we're having a good time'! Never noticed i said that before! Thanks alot Dusty! Enjoy catching up with all yalls older shows and podcasts. Thankful i found the Nateland podcost!
As a girl with a uniquely spelled name (Kaity) I can confirm that what Nate said is true. Having a unique spelling, I literally do not care how people spell my name. I get all sorts of versions of “Katie”. The times that people ask me how to spell my name I see the literal brain spasm happen when I start spelling it for them. They get lost immediately after I say “K-A-“ and need it repeated at least 3 times before they get it. It’s pretty funny. I’ve only met a couple of people who spell Kaity the same way as I do and it is a sort of special connection. Despite not being able to ever find my name printed on souvenirs, I really like the unique spelling that my name has since it is a super common name. I didn’t like the spelling as a kid, but as an adult I enjoy the difference and am grateful for my grandpa having chosen it for me.
My husband leaves for work about 5 am and pretty much every day the dogs and I go back to sleep for a couple hours until I have to get up for work EXCEPT Wednesdays when I just have to listen to y'all. Even if I do pass out a little, finishing the episode while I work is something I really appreciate. So looking forward to Nate's new special, but seeing any one of you live is also something I look forward to. 😊
I get a headache sometimes when I wear a hat. But…I can’t believe y’all didn’t comment on the fact that when Brian took his hat off, there were deep lines on his head from how tight it was, is unbelievable!
Hey Bear! Just wanted to say Happy Birthday, Dusty! (And honestly, a very late happy belated birthday to Nate! I was at his show in Boston on March 24th, and still kicking myself for not signing his giant card. Love the podcast, and all you guys! Keep up the great work!
Absolutely love the podcast. Feels like Im just hanging with the dudes.
I love all the episodes but to pick a top one would be Henry Cho. Loved hearing the "inside scoop" of working up in the comedy scene. Nate I saw you in Tallahassee a year ago in March and will see Henry this year in November. Love the pod and look forward to 200 more.
Hello folks and Butter Toast! I am a big fan of Nate, and since today was nationally Metrology day I played Nates measurement SNL skit at work. They loved it and it was a great way to celebrate the work we do. Keep up the great work.
“He’s got 35 minutes of raccoon material” literally had me on the floor laughing so hard.
In honor of the 200th episode I watched the 1st one, congratulations gentlemen
Noodling is done for catfish which usually have their dens in the mud of the river banks. The one thing to worry about is them holding you down should you grip a good one. Congrats on 200 to the BAND! Thanks for something for my wife and I to listen to while I’m stationed overseas and she’s back in the States
Cracking up that 100 episodes later and the BAND is still talking about awkwardness of using public restrooms. Go to the 12 min mark of episode 100 and the guys have a similar convo. Except back then Dusty decided to hold back the solo cup comment. But now we’re all having a good time 😂
OMG, Dusty is so funny! He asks a lot of questions and wants the truth. Great laughs all around.
Hey Bear! I love Bidet's confidence! His quips are getting better and better!
Love the data/data bit 😂
Love Nate…so much. ❤ Love Brian, Aaron, and Dusty too.
After two or more episodes of saying" I'm glad nate is gone.". I'm really glad He's Back. Like a kid who loves it when his parents go out for the night, and then once 10pm hits their missing their dad. Glad you're back
Arrogant Breakfast is pretty funny. And hearing Dusty throw a little jab at the bottom 2 at the end was hilarious.
Breakfast having a stroke on episode 200 is the most nateland moment ever
That charity money is going straight to bankers & politicians.
Yea, to go against Trump, they'll get him this time 😂
Dusty didn’t say much but seemed skeptical, and rightly so. Bates and Aaron’s 6k is probably more than one homeless person in NY will ever see of the 68 million raised.
Dusty was concerned that fans seeing him check-in to a hotel would ruin the mystique, but he was perfectly comfortable sharing that peeing in a cup story. Let's focus up on building that mystery, buddy! 😂
It’s very funny to hear Nate rant about not ranting on a podcast where people have enjoyed listening to him rant for roughly 200 episodes!
One of the best episodes has to be #166 Jon Crist "Go, Jackets". However, If a person asks which episode should I watch to get an idea what the podcast is like I would recommend episode #176 the NOSO and SLARS with the "rant" about "do something" was so perfect and on point. It was the best. Also, Aaron says "the sun will explode" and Dusty just starts laughing. Then Nate's reference towards Dusty that "even he believes there's an ocean" was classic. Even the Hello, Fresh add read led to laughs...."zucchini penne". All that was in the 3rd half of the show alone and doesn't even mention Dusty being an olympic swimmer.
I’m flying home from Vegas this morning.. great trip… saw The Stones… fantastic..then two words got me… laughed so hard people were staring…Bummer Bates…
I just watched Kevin Hart’s Mark Twain Prize on Netflix and I can’t wait to start seeing Nate at huge events like this especially in the behind the scenes shots hugging and taking pictures with the other huge names. You’re on your way Nathaniel!
Happy Birthday Dusty!
I've heard Nate say that it's fun to find a new comic and watch their career develop through the years. For me, Aaron is that comic. I saw him open at a John Crist show in Waco, TX (around 2019) and remember thinking he was good. I started watching Nateland around episode 3 because (at the time) Aaron was the only comic I recognized. I've since come to appreciate the comedy of Nate, Brian and Dusty but it's been special to see how Aaron's career has developed since that Waco show!
Dusty, I had a similar issue years ago with my front porch. Come to find out it was woodpeckers. Not sure about the exact species, but apparently they love eating carpenter bee larvae. Yes it is amazing how destructive this bird can be. Hope this helps.
I was going to say the same thing. Very likely woodpeckers.
Going to see Dusty in St Louis at the end of the month, super excited. This will leave Brian as the only member of the group I haven't seen live yet. I just missed him when he came to town with Leanne Morgan, hoping he makes it up this way again soon.
While walking in to Nate’s Greensboro show a worker asked the couple in front of us who was playing they replied “Nate Begartze!” He turned around and told a whole group of workers that’s who was playing 😂
Only came onboard about six months ago. Great stuff. Went back to episode 10 and in the intro Nate sounds like he can’t believe it’s still going. It’s great when you are all there, but the Brinosaurus keeps a good handle on things while Nate is on the road, in spite of Aaron and Dusty’s constant effort to derail things.
Gotta Watch Later
(Daniel Barrow) Congrats on all the success and growth guys. The Jay Cutler episode was my introduction to everyone. I'm a green bay packers fan but Jay Cutler seems like a cool enough guy after watching the show. Glad Dusty became a permanent member, I align with a lot of "conspiracy mindset". But I'm a fan of everyone on the show.
I guess Nate is Michaelangelo. Dusty is Raphael. And with Braces obviously being Donatello. That leaves Aaron as Leonardo.
Helloooooo folks! Unrelated to this episode altogether, I could watch Dusty Slay on Nashville Hot everyday. Keep those episodes coming! Oh, and congrats on the baby Weber “like the grill”. We’re having a hot time
Honestly, you guys could make anything funny
Hearing Nate talk about watching Chris Rock's hotel experience reminded of me of my short time playing pro ball in the Dodgers organization. When I got invited to MLB spring training and during regular season in AA we no longer carried our own bags, the "clubbie" would take your bags off the bus, hang everything in your lockers and clean your cleats for you after every game. This didn't happen at any lower level. Makes me wonder what each of your most recent "I made it" moments are, or if you've had one..
I think Dusty should start a new podcast called “Dusty Learns Science” where he just asks questions to people like SciManDan
Dusty - have tickets to your club show in July…I’m gonna need you to bring theater energy 😂
Aaron did a show in Houston the same day his infamous “enough” story aired on the podcast. I brought a group from work to see the show and we saw Aaron walking around before it started. Thinking it would be a humorous nod to the podcast, I went over & placed my hand on his shoulder and said “enough”. I immediately realized he probably didn’t want to be touched and felt horrible for invading his space. I awkwardly tried to get out of the conversation and felt so embarrassed. He had a great show though and he gained fans with all of my coworkers. I pray this exchange doesn’t haunt his memories like it does mine. Surely many other fans have done the same 😩
I live outside of McMinnville and have seen pictures of bears as well as mountain lions from my friend’s trail camera, but they are rare. That being said I feel like Dusty’s bench destroyer was probably a woodpecker. Love the show keep up the good work!
I once commented and called Brian "barnacle bates," and I didn't see it on the list, so the number of names is actually 84.
I also saw beandip Bates, and I called him blatherskite Bates and didn't see them either.
Hello folks from the UK
Next year's bday party. BYOB. Bring your own balls.
For me if I were to be checking into a hotel/motel and saw the headliner checking in at the same time, doesn’t ruin it for me. Gives the show more character. It’s no different seeing my plumber at the grocery store who just replaced the wax ring on my toilet
