I have in my long life heard and loved the great divas of the past, but this and many other glorious voices that are with us now are a shining example of all that is good about the modern concept and interpretation of the art. I don't think that opera has ever been so popular and I think that we have to thank You Tube for the most part for this. I for one am most appreciative
I agree 100%. And I am sure that being able to see them in person is also a part of your agenda as well. The clarity, size and texture of a voice if one can experience in person perhaps should be admissable in the discussion for those who have experienced certain singers in person.

- a recording
- singing an aria in a concert
- singing an entyre opera.
Try to make all of them before criticizing
