Stumbled over this review after buying that amp 2 years ago. Man, I still love it! Totally agree on everything said in this video.
I was looking for a smaller (somewhat portable) session amp and went to my local shop, planning to buy either an Ampeg or Fender combo. Tried all smaller Ampegs and Fenders, tried a Peavy and a Hardtke and totally disappointed wanted to leave, as none of the amps seemed to work with my J-Bass and none came close to the kind bass sounds I like. Spotted the Cort in a corner, plugged in my bass, played two notes and knew I'll buy it.
I ended up using it as my main amp in a funk/soul/jazz combo. I have put it on top of a Markbass 15", to maintain enough bottom end when playing very loud (I mean really loud, otherwise the Cort would be sufficient).
Great bass playing and very impressive high-frequency output without a tweeter! A really good sounding amp at a great price!
The very first groove from René caught me and wouldn't let go. So great, the combo amp, the review and especially the playing.
thank you.
@@reneflachsenhaar2968 what is your first groove it's Damm Funky 👌
@@scorpioscots9692 just something I composed for this video
Ok, the combo might sound good but you know at least 62,5% of the magic is in René's red socks. It's science.
Haha, hopefully not. :)
The magic is in the beard ...
You stole my comment 😁😁
i was thinking of getting this amp, and I'm not worried now since I have long red socks as well.
Thanx for an excelent review! And because of that, I just got the combo myself. Sounds amazing!!
Thanks for this review! got the amp last weekend and it sounds great!
Have you tried it in a band setting? Not sure if it will keep up with a not too loud drummer.
It's nice to hear Rene to play along with music when he's demoing a bass or an app. Right now I'm using a markbass combo for Studio or my practice amp. This little $300 amp sounded very good and seem to have more low-end in my mark Bass. I'll have to go check it out at my local music store. Oh by the way let's not forget, Renee is using a phenomenal jazz bass when he does these demos. I'm quite sure that has a lot to do with that sound you're acquiring. Thanks for the review. Your friend from South Florida USA.
Thanks for the informative review guys, I like that you are sincere and you recommend it or not. It is so important to not be biased, and just inform with transparency.
Well you guys convinced me to get the Cort B5, guess I need this amp now as well XD
Gregor, Your recommendation of this bass combo was very strong. I will have to seek it out to see how it matches up to the flexibility of my vintage, Hartke 2115.
Pbass tone heaven,FANTASTIC TONE
i have this Cort CM150B, sounds great for the price! Good for Medium Size spaces. Highly recommended.
This Cort CM-150B amp looks together with Fender Rumble 100 V3 like a brother from another mother. I've seen below a request to test them both in one video - that would be really interesting. P.S. - I own a Fender Rumble 30 V2 as a practice amp and it is nice, I'm interested in buying some bigger amp for gigs, enjoying the sound and versatility of Rumble 100.
Super tolle Bewertung! And thank you for calling my butt gorgeous 😂 This might be one of the first bass amps where I actually liked the "Bright" switch. And for the price, it sounds pretty fantastic!
would buy it for my son... thanks for the review & recommendation video
Sounds like a good deal at that price point . Can you review The Traynor Small Block Combos 112 and 115 . They use their 200 Watt Class D Amp . They are lighter than the Cort . They do cost more , but in the bigger picture it they have great volume , tone and a one hand carry , it may be worth the extra coin . Plus , since it's made in Canada , maybe they'll include a Neil Young , Brian Adams or BTO CD !
Fender rumble 100 vs cm150b, Who wins?
Of course the rumble😂 but good sound for the price, maybe cort?
Thumbs up for a comparison between the two. Also it would be enlightening to hear the difference between the microphone sound and the sound straight from the DI to the sound card on the Cort.
I did compare them at my local shop, for me 100% Cort win. Was really disappointed by the Fender. But it all depends on your bass, your playing and personal taste, of course.
@@jorn-jorenjorenson5028 I agree, of course it depends on how you mic it, But in general the hifi sounds much better in the cort
Well it sounds good. Certainly good enough for most uses. Thanks for the vid !
Please compare this amp with markbass CMB 121 backline combo.
Looks like it's same amp but more expensive than cort.
Fearless Flyers!
Exactly!
what do u mean ?
Great playing and a cool sounding amp. Sounds like my next purchase decision has been made. Now if I can find the right short-scale.
Nice combo, but that sandberg jazz always sounds so good👍
That Sandberg California J Bass is a tone monster. Holy crap.
Damn that's crisp sound
I need tutorial for 2:25 :D
Agreed! Sounds so good!
I’m living in a former socialist country (Mongolia) and I think they saw this video because it is literally the only bass amp I’ve been able to find in any music shop.
Nice country
This cort or fender rumble v3 100?
Flexing with Flächs again ;-)
Very interesting budget beast it seems (the bass combo I mean)
kennen wir uns? :)
@@reneflachsenhaar2968 leider nur von diesem tollen Kanal ;-)
The best Budged lightweight amp with an amazing tone is still the Fender Rumble Combo :)
Hansi Winkler I agree, I suggested my girlfriend get one since she just started playing bass and she loves it! Now we can jam together (I’m a guitarist/pianist/drummer). Best tone I’ve ever heard under $300
@@tannerblades9049 Awesome! it's even more awesome how many of those rumbles you can get. 15, 40, 100, 200 or 500 Watt for every need :D
Great note about cort combo. Tks a lot
Make a review with playing the Ampeg head with the cabinet. Thanks. 😁
This amp does sounds nice. It has a nice bottom end.
Nice clean bass sound I'm gonna try one
Im considering buying this amp as a sexond bass amp to my Hartke HD 70 bass amp
I love no shenanigans, Gregor.
son of a motherless goat that sounds good Gregor
Son of a motherless goat??
I’m going to use that
@@ethanlocke3604 cool beans
I'm not seeing it available anywhere in the US unfortunately. Did it just come out?
It's on thomann
I love your reviews! I’d also love to see a review of an Alpher Instruments Bass.
Great and great presentation!
could you review the Harley benton rickenbacker style bass?
will do
@@basstheworldofficial awesome! thanks
such a good review.
Is it possible to adjust the tone with less crunchiness? Just a full smooth tone.
How would you, guys, compare this one to the Bugera BXD15A, soundwise? There isn't much of a difference in price, the BXD15A costs about 35€ (42$) more.
Niçe sounding amp!! Love that into music...
thanks man.
Great review!
Would I be able too use this amp for band rehearsal and will it struggle with being loud (we play alot of punk music)
This or Markbass CMD jb combo? I am mainly interested in sound richness and volume. The price of JB CMD combo came down to about 450 so it's a tough choice...Thanks for your advice
Nice review...great player.
Excellent bass player!!!!
I saw a complaint @ Thomann review section that the FX Loop was useless because the Master volume adjusts the FX send, instead of the power amp at the end... If that's true, yeah, so useless that I wonder why they bothered to put those jacks in. The designing engineer must have been seriously sleep-deprived.
I have some other guitar and bass amp, and the master volume never do this: when you connect a source to the power in (or fx return), you have the max power out and the overall volume dipends just on the source...
Hello! I'm considering buying this amp. Can you advise me what's better, a 150 watt amp with a 12" speaker or a 100 watt amp with 15" speakers? Thank you!
I always know if a bass amp is legit if the demo makes my cell speakers fart out 🤘
Is it better than the rumble 40 though?
But where to buy this great combo?
I'm choosing between this and the Peavey Max 100.. Can you give me your opinion about the two? Which one would you choose if you like to slap? And how about the DI out?
This one here is by far my favorite amp in this price range. It plays in a league a few steps above its weight
@@basstheworldofficial Hey thanks so much for the response! I was really not sure if you're able to find my comment since the video is 2 years ago 😅 Great! The music store had just messaged me yesterday that they had 2 newly arrived. Looks like I'm gonna have to pay them a visit. Thanks again!
Sounds great.
Sorry if the question was asked already, but has anyone got a chance to try the 40w version ?
Amazing tone wow
please do Fender rumble V3 40w, it's amazing for home use!
That's a great amp. MUCH louder than other 40 watt amps, and it sounds great. 18 pounds of amazing. Handles a low B string with authority, too.
Has anyone tried one of these in a band setting? I'm wondering if it's loud enough to play bar gigs with not very loud drummers.
I’d say it is
i bought one for band practice ,yes its strong enough for sure ,but you have to play very on the edge on mastery ,the bass sound is very punchy then ,smooth sneeky bass lines, sounds are not rly possible then
Hi bassworld if you're reading this is it suitable for small gigs? And active basses?
Yes and yes
Hi Gregor, is this Amp better than the Rumble 100 from F. ?
I like Warwick and Eden Combs mostly.
Fender is crap
Is this amplifier suitable for practicing in an apartment? How does it sound at low volume?
It’s perfect for that!
Hello! I hope you read this? You did a peavey 2x8 combo review not too long ago and you seemed to enjoy it a lot. Sound wise which one is more neutral, Cort or peavey? Thanks!
Definitely this one. The peavey sounds more mid-scooped, which works very well for recording. But overall I’d prefer the Cort
BassTheWorld.com thanks!!!
I have a question. What do you think about the warwick gnome and cabs?
never tried it. warwick refuses to work with channels like us
Why? What's wrong with your channel?
By the way, I have a small Hartke b300 and I love the sound. Does this Cort amp have the same sort of punch?
I own this bass amp and I can tell you that the mode button does literally nothing
but is it loud?
@@acoolcat4269 it's one of the loudest practice amps I've ever played.
@@alexandergeodakyan1988 Thanks... I'll buy this next. Im a beginner bass player and thinking to also buy cort artisan plus bass.
@@acoolcat4269 I've got the cheapest artisan bass (C4) and imo it's the highest quality bass in that price range

Beautiful demo !
I own a CM30R (which is the 30W electric guitar version) and the sticker says "Made in Indonesia"...
Could you tell us where this bass amp is made in ?
pretty much everything from Cort is made in Indonesia
@@basstheworldofficial
Thank you for your reply.
I guess this bass combo will do the job for home practice and studio recording since it has a (decent ?) DI.
Btw, did those sound samples came from the mic only ? or is it a mix with the DI output ?
I think you should provide such information when reviewing bass amp.
hi, i'm from indonesia, wide range cort product are produced on cort factory in east java, indonesia.
hi, is it possible to get this amp in the US? Don't seem to be able to find it! Thanks!
Maybe Cort has a dealer list on their website?!
What's the second bass?
you mean the sandberg california tt4 masterpiece hardcore aged? it's pretty amazing
Question ?
For recording, Cort or Peavey combo?
this one here
BassTheWorld.com
Just to clarify, this Cort mic’d up better?
no, I just think it sounds better overall
Good review, but are the speaker 6ohm or 8 ohm?
Should be 8
Sorry sir,but I have to make it correct,it's 120 watts at 6 ohm, just look it up on the specs..it's the same speaker in the cort mix 5 amp..
Oooo, bass from Czech Republic
Buen sonido .
Impressive.
what about that "Ash" Cort?
coming soon!
Moin Gregor, what P-Bass ist René playing? Sounds verrrrry good!

is it ok for live stage?
Depends how much volume you need. If it’s a club it should be enough
37.5 lb
Budget, but how much?
What size live situations can this amp handle? Love your channel and thanks for enriching my world wiz yo eezd jöömen accent which I laugh

I dunno too much about amps, but this thing looks eerily similar to the Fender Rumble Series of combos. Same parts supplier and manufacturer maybe?
was thinking the same thing. also sounds very similar.
Super Red Socks Beardy Bass Sounds
mmmhmmm:)
It looks 95% like a Fender like a Rumble clone.
I am a huge fan of Fender amps (I have an old bassman), but honestly, this Cort sounds way better than the current small Fenders, imho. I compared them at my local shop and after playing the first 2 notes on the Cort I knew I would by it. But it is all personal taste, in the end. : )
Who buys a "budget" bass combo and then plays a 2000 euro bass through it?
lots of people. you still want something for dirty pubs ;)
The amp sounds excellent! Don't see a problem with running any bass through it!
@Rigorous Bass not here!
37.47 pounds

@@basstheworldofficial hahaaaaa!!! :)
need speed,,, need 40 hz power
Buy it now while they are made in Korea. When they leave it wont be the same.
I own a CM30R from 2020 and it's made in Indonesia.
Don't know if I should be surprised, but I was expecting something like... Korean made ?
@@r3b0rn80 well I have found when name brands that end up being made in alternate countries the parts might not have the same quality or durability.
With fat tone there comes some weight.
Rigidity of a cabinet, porting and baffle not weight makes a fat sound.
A socialist bass amp? Seriously?
That’s not what I said
As a Warwick player I tuned to hate anything named by Cort😅 or anything not from Germany... but this one is interesting...
first
Really you wanna bring up Socialism ? Seems you may be out of touch with real people, I see thousands of dollars worth of equipment surrounding you in your Bavarian Shangri la so I think maybe you have lots of.money and therefore dont really think too much about average working people.
I was born in a socialist country. You?
