Curtains Using Cloth modifier to create in 3Ds MAX

Love the tutorial and trying to follow it but after I enter the simulation I am unable to select the top box that we used as the node. Have you encountered an issue like this where you can not select your node object while in simulation? I have grouped them and linked them by node but cant select the box to move it once simulation is active?
