10…. For the AMG EQE SUV. I did a test drive at the weekend and was very impressed with the dynamics of the car. The quality and ‘feel-good’ factor is very high.
Maybe a 7. I'm always confused as to why those types of don't have a frunk and also have quite a small trunk for the size of the car. Compare it to a Skoda Superb. You'll be amazed at how much space there is.
@gustavalbers3238 yes, bad utilization of space
Great video, would rate it 6,
A decent try from MB, however, it´s too heavy, and like most German EV, behind on charging speed, software, I´m sure the interior is nice, but for the price, it´s not a relevant vehichle, in my opinion.
Anyway, thanks for the in depth test. The charging curve is kind of good. The car can hold a nice charging speed up until 70%, which is really cool 🙌🏼 But agreed, for this price point, a 800v system would be great regarding the competitors in the segment
Thanks! Yes, mb has managed to create a flat curve and the preheating is kind of impressing too
Turning off the speed limit is even easier: on the centre touchscreen, top-left there is a mute icon. It’s a bit strange you missed that.
Nice video! Aslan abim )

You should start using the in-car navigation for these range tests. Some cars can use the route information to improve the accuracy of the range estimate.
Good point. I'm not looking at the range estimate..only at used energy and consumption and net capacity.
It would be great to know that in daily life do I as a driver need to figure out how much range is available or will the car do it for me. @@ItsOnlyElectric
Hej! 🙂 I think there’s a glitch at 00:39 , tires are clearly Michelin Alpin. But maybe you prefer GoodYear tires 😅
Haha. Thanks man! Editing too late at night... Needxto fix that. 😂
May you please test AC level 2 charging 11kw !
I did and it worked as aspected.
Do you have any idea how much range you lose due to the 22" wheels? Is there anything noticeable vs 21 or you would need to go 20" to see the difference? Thanks!
It depends on tire dimensions and weight of the wheels more than the wheel size itself. But generally speaking you lose range for every inch you go up in size. I would count on approximately 15km of range loss for every inch.
Thanks! If you ever change tires I would love to see the side-by-side comparison. I have the same tires you have right now (and similar range) and I am a bit frustrated by it, albeit it looks really good.
@cristianvrancut6433 it's was a press car I had for a week so not my car .
Agree, typical MB, too expensive. Thank you for the good review
Thank you!
Very nice vehicle, but I am a little surprised at the lack of space in the rear seats. There is hardly poor legroom here. ;)
I'm tall and fit in the rear seat, but it's not the biggest in class
And the trunk volume! The Scenic and e3008 have slightly bigger trunks...
It’s not that effluent. I have managed 468km in my iX40, this was driving from Molde to Trondheim last September. The car was in efficiency mode, adaptive cruise set to 5km above the speed limit, the speed limits are 80 & 90 kph.
The 22" wheels are ruining it a bit
@@ItsOnlyElectric I have 21” on our iX. The Mercedes does charge a wee bit faster, it costs about more than an iX.
@MasterChief37 yes, and I think the IX is more efficient in general
I agree that the 2024 gen of luxury EV SUVs are all disappointing in terms of charging and range. They must be better than EVs half cheaper (Ioniq 5, Y, EV6) and they are worse. Unacceptable.
Why not just keep within the speed limits?
Better for range and safety.
Yes, but it starts beeping when you go 2-3km/h too fast. Hard to be that precise without always driving on autopilot.
That's what the speed limiter is for.
My VW ID.3 sets the speed-limiter automatically, it's brilliant.
Porsche & Audi call it InnoDrive and charge a lot of money for it.@ItsOnlyElectric
