We'll never know if she would have continued to just be popular in Sweden only if ABBA didn't exist. It would seem she was keen to start a family at an early age so her career would have slowed down. It may have caused friction and ultimately broken her marriage with Bjorn but being in that group probably kept her recording and performing more than had she stayed as a soloist.

I was a little uncomfortable with the content of this interview. Interviewer is not familiar with Sweden, the birthplace of ABBA, and although the United States is a mixture of races, what about Sweden ... People who came from the countryside, such as ABBA's lack of accent in English. It seemed to be treated like this. It was an interview that just said that America was the best. As an American, AB was one of the few outlets where we could see pop music artists perform during the 1970s, as there was no MTV, internet, etc. I remember seeing this show when I was 12 and was excited to see ABBA.
He was doing a lot of other work on radio and TV, and it was clear that by this point he was putting almost no time or effort into this show, just showing up at the studio and collecting a paycheck. Even still, the lack of professionalism was astounding.

This guy is screwing up the interview with geography and background questions for Sweden. When Sweden is primarily a Nordic country of Nordic Swedes.
