I will keep suggesting them as I know you love them, as do we. The crazy looking instrument is called a nyckelharpa, and is thought to date back to medieval Europe though it is mainly known in Sweden now. It is an interesting instrument and the oldest known in existence dates to 1526. I might send you a video for a "hurdy-gurdy" one of these days. Another interesting medieval stringed instrument. The population on as of Denmark is about 5.9 million as of the autumn of 2024. What you said about the kids moving through the ranks is certainly true. Some of these kids are now in the Pigekoret!
@@paulschmehl2124 I think that there is an American choir called One Voice. I have heard a few of their pieces I like, so will share them at some point. It is crazy to think that isn't it? The DR is not the only choir on youtube, there are a number of others so they obviously love to sing. Good on them I think for encouraging the children!

That is what i see now having read up on it. It is certainly an interesting instrument, with a different sound altogether.
