Yes, portugal is so under rated. I visited twice and I'd like to visit more. They are so nice!
I don't agree, everyone knows Portugal's very nice, Madeira and The Azores are quite popular as well as Porto and the capital Lisbon for obvious reasons.
I think one of the most underrated destinations in Europe is probably Liechtenstein, it's a mini Switzerland.

Thousands of Brits visit annually especially the Algarve.
The historical towns are also worthwhile.

@Paul I thougt the same. It is not as know for mass tourism like Spain but still a popular destination within Europe. "Underated" would be Albania.
You can’t forget about Sweden! There’s Swedish Lapland, Stockholm, Heart lake( i forgot name) there’s also Lake Tavelsjö , Gullholmen , Sundsvall ,Östersund, Åre, Malmö, Gothenburg, Liseberg(come to sverige 🇸🇪

For April would you recommend Italy beaches like sardinia over Barcelona and costa brava ?
This summer I was in Italy and Greece. I personally loved it. But I recommend going to Santorini Greece. The area is beautiful then after I took a drive to the black sand beach, it was beautiful and very calm. I recommend taking the cable car up then walk down because the donkey rides are recommended. Watch out for the donkey poop if you go!!

As a Greek I’m telling you Santorini is VERY overrated, there are much nicer islands, like Milos, kefalonia, and zakynthos

How cheap is Greece tho? My family have been wanting to go on a Europe trip for a really long time and i just wanna know the best spots to travel!! :)
Greece is in the Eurozone, so it's not as cheap as other eastern European countries. There is also huge difference in prices depending on the places you visit and the time (obviously avoid Myconos Santorini and ...August...)

Everyone knows Portugal is not underrated. It's a very popular place filled with tourists. I think Athens Greece is a hidden gem. Most tourists in Greece don't really explore Athens and the Peleponese cities nearby. They usually head straight to the islands. Greece however has very amazing cities. @@MahnaGhafori

Croatia has better beaches than Greece IMO. The whole Balkan coast, Italy even. But italy is beautiful and easiest place to find good food nearly everywhere. Prague should not be missed. Too crowded in the summer, but probably the most beautiful.

@@MahnaGhafori Portugal has been a very hot destination always atleast for Europeans as it’s cheaper ..but I agree compared to Italy France Swis Greece Prague Netherlands Spain Norway it’s not the first preference when you are coming from outside Europe ..I think more underrated are Malta , Slovenia , Croatia ,Poland
