first pull unlocks, the second opens. It's not "tied" into the auto-lock, it's just the auto-lock locks the door, necessitating an unlock to open it. Think couple of my range used to do that and a bmw

Interesting review, I've had this Audi for a year and I would disagree on a few matters. Door opening, yes it does "catch", but if you push the door open button first, no troubles. I think the doors lock automatically above a certain speed, then stay locked for an "urban" environment. Touch screen I'm not a huge fan, but you may be right about voice control. I must copy changing the temp by voice ! Auto main beam dipping I found excellent, but I only use main beam in the country. Your steering ... the convenient shelf for the right arm, the one-handed spinning the wheel .... as an IAM member for over 30 years I am appalled ... 10 to 2 please, 2 hands. "B" pillars agreed. Build quality agreed. As you say the engine / gearbox / acceleration is really good, especially at 40 to 80 as you join a fast road. PS I was horrified to have no spare wheel, part of the Mild Hybrid occupies the spare wheel well, so I paid £300 for a proper spare and tools. Downside is the wheel is large and takes a lot of boot space.

I wish they had the normal Avant in the US. The only option we get is the Allroad which is taller, has plastic cladding and a higher spec than I want. This 2.0T is perfect for commuting and I don’t need the 3.0T.
I’m loving the series and channel. Keep it up! I had a question. What would you buy if you had about 25k to send on a fun family daily. Somerhing to keep for 4+ years. Something with a good sense of speed (most cars for me as I’m coming from a Astra lol), fun/playful, can be used for a family car with decent economy if I was sensible. I was thinking if maybe a F generation 4 series gc or maybe a Cupra Ateca. Just wanted to get your thoughts. Love the channel once again - thanks ❤️
F generation 440i gc is the car i’d have. Perfect daily and has that fun factor. Also good on fuel once on the motorway.
@@ParagonCarsLondon That’s what I was thinking. I’m not sure how I feel about having a diesel car if I’m thinking of keeping it for quite a few years.
@@ELITESMOK3Yfor the performance and economy the B58 gives you a diesel is not really needed as you’ll be saving maybe £5-10 a tank maybe even less really.

How much better is this than an A5 with the same engine and quattro? Sound, comfort and driving?
sound is the same, comfort is better in the A6 as it’s just bigger (more room) and the A5 is a bit sharper to drive.
