30 years since I last went round there.....some locos in all states there as usual. The GBRf 60 livery is stunning, so suits that locomotive. Hope we don't lose any more 60s to the stored/withdrawn line, bad enough as it is........just ying ying city now.
great video Kev enjoyed it , Its many years since i got that close to the depot , i used to spend every saturday walking round there in the 70s /80s as you cold do then before the bomb scares put the kibosh on that , used to watch them changing engines on the TRACTORS & THE DUFFS , many thanks for the walk round really enjoyed it got the memories pouring back that did, i only live 5 mins away used to be my second home at weekends👍🤣 stay safe a t b syd😀
Great review, what a shame all the Class 60's rotting away in the yard. As it come to a point now that it's not cost effective to overall any if so why don't they scrap them and tidy the place up. 55yrs ago saw the last steam working on BR because diesel power was the way forward look at it now
Nice footage Kev. Good of DB to allow this. I hope they are not giving up on the 60s they have got running as I've heard some are due Brush overhauls soon
I'll never understand why after Privatisation of BR it was better to built and import locomotives from other countries such as America/ Canada and Spain. What was wrong with building them in UK?

Great video and although like these diesels a tour in the 70s was a different class. Thanks for sharing and wouldn’t mind a visit myself
Superb video mate
Amazing number of locos stored there. Did I notice 66001 amongst them? 😊
Great video. The variety of locos is quite impressive albeit in various condition.
Great video Kev
Jammy sod getting round the depot 😊
Best Toton Video ever!

That's why they've removed them from service £££
As an ex Db driver now with FLHH that makes very sad viewing tbh
My local depot and safe now that the HS2 toton hub has been scrapped!

Is 66230 still onsite or is that scrapped?
Still on site pal inside the depot
We wasn’t allowed to film it
@@MegaCullie has it been touched since it had its incident?
I think it still had its tarp over the damaged cab something to do with insurance claim I’m lead to believe
Toton is shed central.... how do you get on one of these tours?
Tjhrough Various Rail Clubs, But this was through a mate of a mate
@@swearingkevo any idea how you join one of these clubs?. I dont think there are any close to me.🙏
Try RailRiders that’s your best bet, all done on line £35 per year I think
@@swearingkevo thanks for that Kev 👍
@swearingkevo Remember when the shed was full of 44s, I've got the original booklet/leaflet on the opening of Toton diesel loco, Nice pics Kevin.
Also, excellent video, tho very disingenuous that the germans use the EWS logo and branding ;)
top stuff
