  • Furya 4. This is the bass made exclusively out of woods sourced locally in reference to Stradi Workshop localisation - no exotic and endangered woods were used to build this instrument. Also this is the first Furya bass build od the same principals as The Symphony Bass model - with extended fingerboard (made of 2100 yeas old bog oak) and sweet and deep sounding Stradi piezo system. Bass is made of spalted alder body, one piece oak neck with 2100 years old bog oak fingerboard with pure silver swirl markers. The weight is only 2,9kg...
Furya 4. TO bas wykonany w ramach Local Wood Challenge 2018 - całkowicie z lokalnych gatunków drewna, bez użycia zagrożonych i egzotycznych surowców. Oryginalny system piezo Stradi zapewnia ciepłe i dynamiczne brzmienie instrumentu. Waga to zaledwie 2,9kg...

This sounds much better than the sky... something model.
Anyway, improvement would be necessary, the sound is punchy and over-expressive even with "killed" tone. It needs to be softened, and more sofisticated.
Anyway, this is a good direction to develop really good bass guitar.
It seems that Stradi guys still did not flickered out that being a good carpenter is not the same as being a good luthier, but on the other hand they are on the right path to start creating really impressive instruments.

@@pendofsky By the way, I really appreciate what you're doing in terms of the crafting and design of bases, choice of woods for example. Respect! In my own case, I noticed years ago, that on acoustic-electric guitars with piezo pickups under the bridge, while it may be convenient, it doesn't accurately reflect the acoustic sound of the instrument. I've just moved the J-style pickups on my own custom-built 35" scale fretless further towards the neck, and it has really improved the tone and timbre. Opened it up. It's as if I can hear more of what the wood contributes. My sense is that the piezos under the bridge capture a narrow range of vibrations the strings are producing biased towards the high end. Thoughts?
