    Georgina, I call what you were using a blender. It's quite different than a food processor. With a processor, you can simply pulse a time or two to get everything blended without pulverizing it. The bowl is shorter and round so that getting contents out is much easier. The blades on a processor come out, too. I'm glad they are delicious! Crunchy might be a nice change over chewy, no? This was so fun. Thank you!

    Here in the states, flapjacks are pancakes and what you made would be called cereal or oat bars. It's funny how the English language can be so different in England vs America. You were using a blender, not a food processor, so that is why it was difficult to work your mixture. But I really enjoyed watching you make them and continue on, even though it didn't seem to be working. And they still tasted good ! That's what counts.

    Well done you. I don't bother with a blender just melt all the butter in a microwave and then mix that with the syrup and mix everything by hand with a wooden spoon. Turn out fine. Can you make a frittata I haven't tried that yet. Love your vlogs. Thanks.

    Never in my life have I seen a flapjack recipe that required blending haha!

    flapjacks in the US depend on the area of the country. We make flapjacks in the south with potatoes! This was so much fun to watch haha!

    Just cook them for the 15 mins. Don't worry about it being soft still. It will set when cooled. 🙂. Also obviously have near exact weight measurement with using scales. N or google how many Uno how many cups to make up the weight you need like the 225g or whatever the oats were. 🙂. I recommend melting the butter and maybe the syrup on the stove and mixing the ingrediants in a mixing bowl. Just make whatever you wish. P.s everytime I start watching your new vlogs you always make me smile. 🙂

    If you’re cooking/baking something that’s still soft inside but the outside is done, pop some foil over the top and it will stop the outside from browning any further/burning! I just melt the butter in a saucepan and then mix in the other ingredients. I put cherries 🍒 in mine xx

    Thanks. Here in the US the word flapjack is synonymous with pancake, like those one has at breakfast. Those look delicious. Clothes airer was new too; here I think we call them drying racks. Enjoy the flapjacks!

    Hi, regarding your flapjacks.
    1. I think your food processor looks like a liquidiser.
    2. Don't bother whizzing the ingredients anyway. Just melt them in a saucepan or the microwave.
    3.Don't worry if the flapjack looks soft, when you take it out. Just let it stand and it will set.

    The flapjacks (granola bars) look good. You could try banana bread, peanut butter cookies (biscuits), or potato skins.
    I don’t know what the UK calls potato skins. We hollow out cooked russet potatos cut in half leaving a thin layer of potato. Butter both sides of the shells. Brown them for a few minutes. Fill with cheese and cooked bacon pieces. Broil for a few minutes to melt the cheese. Top with sour cream and green onions. Save the potato mash for mashed potatoes or duchess potatoes.     I had to go look up what flapjacks were. I had only heard of them like pancakes cooked on a grill which are American. I think im going to make those. I found a good recipe on youtube. Thanks for the idea. My take from watching other videos is that you were to keep the oats whole. But I suppose it all goes down the gob the same way anyway lol

    When baking, it’s always best to melt the butter. Liquids and dry ingredients separate, then together for bowl mixing. Depending on what you’re baking the order can change but I usually add the liquid to my dry ingredients and mix. For the blender, in general, liquid first then dry ingredients or you could damage the blender. You can pulse your dry items in a blender for baking, but alone is best and not too long. Then add liquids if they’re meant to be mixed in a blender.

    This made me smile so much, thank you. As someone who has suffered terribly with eczema on my hands in the past, I could recommend using a hypoallergenic washing up liquid, or alternatively, if you are able to wear rubber gloves, put your favourite hand cream on before putting the gloves on and the warm water will help the cream soak into your hands. I must admit I did not have it on my bingo card that you would NOT buy any wool ! lol ! I have never tried flapjacks, but have dabbled in recipes at times, always putting my own spin on it. Generally, what I call my 'kitchen experiments' come out quite tasty, even if they are not always photo worthy ! :) Take care, and as ever, sending luv, hugz and healing energy. xx

    I use baking paper cos my stuff always stick to the pan too. Worth it for the easy clean up.

    Well done for giving them a go, they seem so easy to make but can be tricky to time. I over cooked mine a little the first time but soon learned. I just think even slightly undercooked it's all food you can eat without cooking anyway 👍 looking forward to seeing the next batch 😁

      I loved flapjacks as a kid and made them in the winter. I preferred them plain, I don’t ever remember placing the mix in a food processor 😂 just add wet mix to dry mix. I live in Australia now and I’m Going to make some on the weekend as it’s our autumn and winter time. Georgina is a cool lass and we’re both Kylie and Madonna fans.

    I love the cheesy hash browns from Iceland I'm a cheese addict lol as for the flapjack i mix it all in a bowl and kneed it with my hands and melt the butter putting the oats in last i cant remember using a blender for mine

    You should try Richmond vegetarian sausages they are way tasty, i hate Quorn ones, zero taste but texture is good....linda McCartney ones taste better but texture is horrid
