How to submit a car

I love this car. The color is just so wholesome.
Ah, I kept imagining James May saying "It's Aspirational!" about the dinky little features.
You forgot to mention the great "window seat" on those '60s Chevys. My brother and I used to compete for who got to ride on the rear parcel shelf. It was especially fun at night when we could look up at the stars on the ride home from Aunt Martha's house.
Totally agree
God I miss smoker windows.
Same
But it's obvious from looking at you guys how much fun these can be.
Mr R you seem so at home and relaxed in this car
George Green it's cause it's not a manual lol, I've yet to see him not thrash either the shifter or the clutch
I daily drive my 69 C10, and I wouldn't trade the adventure of feeling inches from death during every drive for the world.
Some say he sleeps every 182 years 4 hours. And when he does, it's In his sold Honda fit.
All we know is, he's mr. Regular
Some say all he eats is postmodernism... and if he were to reveal his real name, the world would end a couple times. All we know is, he's called Mr. Regular!!!
Well, once we got to know he was called Bryan, isis emerged.
Gaw, don't spread it around! Do you want the world to end? ;)
ALLAHU AKBARRRRRRR
I love old cars, large vertical windows, simple spacious interiors and nice bench seats.
Why do new cars have to feel so claustrophobic? Too bad I can’t finance any old cars.
Jank Paul They don't have to be nice. Get a model that isn't too popular, 4 door, straight 6, with some imperfections, that wouldn't be that expensive
Don't Finance. Indentured Servitude.
Jank Paul if you can save up $3k-$4k, you can get a nice classic without too many issues. Just don't expect one of the more popular ones unless you buy a project car. Chevy ii, Corvair, Tempest, Fairlane, beetle, etc are good daily capable cars.
Because if you're in a crash in an old car, you're fucked.
People walk away from wrecks with semi trucks in modern cars.
New cars feel claustrophobic because too many people died and their families sued.
Novas are awesome cars. My dad had a 63 nova ss convertible and put a 327 in it. Sounded awesome
You can't believe the breathing room it adds to these when you cut in exterior shots. Please, please keep doing the cuts to the outside on the POVs!
Love the b-roll in these drive videos! Great touch!
The chatter with the owner is always a blast
Lovely looking car. I've always loved the 1962-65 Chevy II and Nova. :)
Here in Argentina, Chevy II Nova is called Chevrolet 400, I have a 69 model, it's an impressive machine
Driving some classic cars definetely makes you feel like you're driving for your life. Thanks for the review, Mr. Regular.
There's nothing in this world like old 60s and 70s 'murican cars, this isn't even a land yacht like the Cadillac El Dorado and I'm already amazed at how spacious and big it looks! What I wouldn't give to be able to own and maintain one of these, and that's coming from a guy who's second favorite vehicle is the EK9 civic which is the total opposite!
Get a GAZ-24 Volga if you are on this side of the globe. Closest and cheapest alternative with all the 60`s shenanigans showed in this video. Spacious, soft and comfy car. Add any period correct v8 for perfection.
Brother ty for the suggestion ♥ But to be honest if I had the money for any classic car or a V8 AND was able to find one of these classics, I'd go straight for a 442 Olds or a Bel air (Not that the Volga is not awesome, I think I've seen one in real life - The first time I saw it was on Top Gear so I had a bit of a bias but idk it looks sweet in my opinion!) but sadly on this side of the globe, in this little corner where I live in, taxes for anything that has an engine displacement of 1.6 l and above are so heavy that it would be more realistic to buy a Robin reliant and just glue a picture of a Riviera to each side xD
*Sigh* Back to my Fiat uno blasting Hot rod Lincoln through cheap Chinese "Kemwood" speakers >.
If you think a Chevy II looks spacious and big, you must be confused by the extremely Wide Angle lens used by the camera operator. That misconception is understandable when such a lens is used.
This is actually nicer than the falcon. Think that's the only time I've said that about a GM product compared to Ford.
5 years is a big change.
Aside from cheap trucks, Ford was actually playing catch-up with GM since the 1930's and it wasn't until 1986 did Ford ever had the edge and final word in car development. And that was the Taurus, and a former Ford executive had said this in a book written about the creation of the 1986 Ford Taurus and how it really changed how we saw the modern car. I was surprised to hear that from a Ford executive, but they just couldn't compete with the development power that GM had with time and money. Without the Taurus, it's likely Ford would have kept catching up with GM for a little while longer.
Especially the '63, god what a beautiful car.
That and the Falcon was barely adequate by the standards of 1960, let alone 1965.
I was supposed to sleep hours ago, but then Mr. Regular enlightened me with this new video at 4am
Turn signal on *Tick-Tonk Tick-Tonk*. Memories of my 74 Dodge Adventurer.
I drove a very small car that didn't require much in the way of brakes (discs in front, drums in back) and when I got in a larger car with normal power brakes (discs all around) I noticed a feeling I could only describe as the brakes "dragging".
Watching this reminds me of my old Mercury Comet - a '65 2-door sedan with the 200 straight six engine. For a 'compact car' (only slightly larger than its stablemate, the Falcon), it had a TON of room. I'm going to own another one day, I swear.
AND I WILL DRIVE IT EVERYWHERE.
Love the nova ll. My mom had the blue and my dad had a black one both four door. I miss the smell of the interior on a hot day. Ah ...
Not T bag.
Thanks AvE.
Man I tell you what, AvE, EEVBlog are spreading farther than I would have imagined lol
Skookum choocher
I had a green 1965 Nova. I paid $50 for it in 1983. It had an AC but it was basically a metal thing between the dash & the front seat knee-level which over time became a block of ice.
Sweet ride!
did Mr. Regular really just say "bougiee?"
"Bourgeoisie."
Bad and bougiee, bitch! Lol!
Bourgeois cucked by capitalism smh
Them novas are a masterpiece😎
Tighten up the steering box to take out some of the slop. Buy the stiffest shocks that you can to take out some of the float and go with some manual gauges. All will help a lot. Cheers!
HAHA, every time you talk about the nice amenities in the Nova...it’s LOOK AT YOU, YOU HAVE A VENT SWITCH, YOu HAVE ELECTRIC WIPERS111!!!. I love it. So funny.
it's a luxury econo-barge while the falcon is (was) 4 wheels a body and a drivetrain.
90's cars were the same here in europe. The crappiest 106 peugeot was barely better than a falcon (nothing assisted/electrical, no radio, 45hp engine mated to 4speed manual). The best 106 had all assists, electric windows on all doors, aircon, nice cassete radio, a 1.6 engine that could be mated with a 5-speed manual or a 3-speed auto.
I love that you love AvE
Fantastic!
I own that exact car now!
awwww
i want one now
My friend in high school had a Nova 2, too, also, whatever..he called it “The Whisper Jet”.
I swear I have seen 2 of these since I first watched this video before I don’t think I ever have I saw one when I was driving to school in my 66 ford pickup and then I saw one on a flatbed one day when I was driving to work
I watched almost this entire video looking only at the odd expressions of those in the back seat.
Needed to play some old music driving something like this.
Way cool, gents!! 👍😎
Mr. Regular, do you know how to remove air freshener stains in your car's dash?
I use to work at the Mannheim Auto Auction! Too Funny!
Jesus Christ Regular, go to sleep
Does no one know you can SCHEDULE when a video goes live? He could have uploaded it MONTHS ago and set it to go live this morning.
6:33 lol, my 48 Pontiac does that too
Can you review the 2014 Mercedes e class Doug de muro bought the pre facelift
Why didn't you do one of these for the Coronet? I would have loved to hear your color commentary while driving that barge.
@ Mr. Regular That nova has an alternator, not a generator. The factory alternator is a "Delco 10 dn", an externally regulated weakling 45 amp or 55 amp alternator similar to the Ford 1G alternator that your Falcon had originally.
A common upgrade with gm products of that era is to slap in a 10 si or 12 si alternator from a 70's- mid 80's gm product. It bolts up fine with most engines, and can give you 55-108 amps of current.
My apologies, I goofed. According to Rock Auto, falcons didn't get an alternator until 1966.
Yep, my 64 Comet had a generator on the 260
is this normal?
the sound the car made turning on and idling is the same one i remember from some euro 4-bangers of the 90's
Slowing the blinkers down with the lights is nothing. My alternator went out on my truck with a bad battery and the truck would start to stall if i turned on my blinkers
I would buy one just for the cool smoker windows. my Suzuki has windows like that and they don't do anything plus the pillar blocks the view its dangerous lol.
So when do you do a review on your Subaru Forester?!?
Seegal Galguntijak he already has one up I think
Oh, I'd like to see that. I mean, of his own car (which this seems to be).
No, actually I just looked, there isn't one. There is one of a Forester, but it's the older model from the 90s/early 2000s.
Seegal Galguntijak he doesn't own a forester and this nova isn't his. He owns a falcon and MR2 currently. In the past he has reviewed and owned a Honda fit and a Toyota echo. The Roman has reviewed his own SN95, and I believe Mr, regular did a video on his dad's dodge caravan. There is also a video where does a POV drive of some car formerly belonging to his grandmother although I can't remember what it is. Their intern has reviewed the Scion IA he owns.
2bit MarketAnarchist - it's just because there was a Forrester parked when they started driving and he pulled a keyfob out of his pocket to lock it. I've seen this same Subaru in the background of many RCR videos this season, so I thought he must own a third car, and this must be it.
The Falcon, the Falcon, the Falcon, THE FALCON....
Have you thought of doing a review of a Buick Rivera, or a Chrysler Crossfire?
Review a 1960 comet!
RegularCars I have a question. I own a 1966 Mustang and it's going to be my daily driver (no other choice). What should I do about snow?
PhoeniX Angel walk. Road salt will destroy it beyond saving
Is the one in the rear the Audi TT guy?
Anybody know where this car is today ?
I had a 1963 nova 2 3 speed on the column but We sold it
My '84 Rabbit doesn't even tell you which direction my signal lights are going, just whether they're on or off.
People always give GM the shit for being craptastic in peculiar ways (and for good reason, as I also happen to own one), but on the upside they've often had a handful of innovative touches in their cars almost always ahead of everyone else. Not just stuff like convenience lights, rear defoggers, or having the trunk release in a good location, but also HUDs, traction control, automatic lights, active suspension, etc. Seems like such features are easier to point out in the 1960's model because it's more noticeable.
GM was also the first with the automatic transmission.
And to think, a 4-speed automatic in 1939!!
Do a review of a 1999 chevy s10
A forester?
The Foreign Car Guy I think so...
In the actual review, he had his Falcon there at some point...but I don't see it in the parking lot in this video.
The Foreign Car Guy we need more JDM stuff, like a turbo 90s Fozzy or twin turbo Leggy (which I have :)
I own one of these. 194 4 door 3 on a tree ya baby.
When you don't care about cars, but still are around for the lols.
I thought the channel name was also Regular Car reviews not just Regular Cars.
Man, I miss vent wing windows.
8:09 OOH
Subawu!
Where's regular based out of? Itd be awesome to have my 2002 avalanche reviewed
Pennsylvania, maybe near Harrisburg. They have a video about how to submit a car to them which you should check out first.
Austin Lucas damn, im on the west coast. oh well ill check the video
Two things from someone why drove the cars from the 60s back in the 60s.
Number one the steering should not wonder if the car front end parts are tight and it is aligned properly.
Number two the brake shoes that you get today are not the same material as it was back in the 60s.
That may be why you are getting the strange braking feel.
Number three all GM cars started using alternators in 1964.
Your slow turn indicator when lights are on may be due to a week ground.
This channel is rapidly turning into Regular AvE Reviews. How long until you refer to torque as 'chooch factor?'
Zip ties n bias plies calls exhaust chooch or cheech especially in cold weather
Would absolutely love to see a review on a chevy spark and how shit it is
I’ve got a 64 Nova I drive during the summer and I agree with most of his sentiments about the car. This car has no problem passing on the freeway but the drum brakes are ass. Although I have the bigger motor in mine his “one acceleration speed” is far from the truth. Although I can’t speak for the smaller straight six.
how i would love to have a dart a falcon and a nova "chevy 2"
Brown
Review a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Cuz I drive one, lol 😂
Please review 2014 Dodge Dart gt
MyDadsABear I'd like to see a review on the old 80s Chrysler M body (5th Avenue, Diplomat, Gran Fury).
Subaru!
r34 pleaseee!!!!!!!! do something to drive one!
Can you Please drive a chevrolet lumina 1997
Honda j-series at 0:05
Your Falcon DOES NOT have rack and pinion steering!
I have a 1970 monte carlo and those things were marketed as luxury cars. I never understood why until I saw this tin can feeling nova that sorta looks and sounds like a jalopy no offense.
Please review a Lada or any sort of soviet car
TunerTube Soviet cars are rare in the states.
I'm sure he's asked around
Tall order to fill, but possible. Likely the Canadian Ladas are your best bet.
I'd like to see him do a trabant
I know there's someone on RUclips with a trabant and I think he's in the eastern US as well
Trabant is the ultimate regular car. A car so regular that it was the only car that
everyone in an entire country had
"You bourgie bitch."
But why upload at 4 AM tho??
because he doesn't have to be at work by 0900.
Chris Osborne The magic of scheduled videos
He does it for England.
McNamara nickled and dimed a lot of things on the lower priced Fords.
turn the radio up. Oh it didn't have one. Now that's basic.
If you haven't done in a review on an Opel Manta you should do a review on an Opel Manta just for s**** and giggles
Can you review my car?
Welcome to my world lol. I've broken down in more classic cars than you've laid eyes on.
Mr Regular is so hot.
I guess I have steel cold ice running through my veins. : /
I try to like these old cars but they're just not my thing I guess.
dacasman Having one of your own is different than watching someone else own one
I admire the history and the engineering of the time, and maybe if I have the chance I'll drive it once, but no more than that.
85 C10 Well my grandparents had a 63 impala until I was like 15.
dacasman My dad has a 57 bel air but I didn't understand how it felt until i got my own classic. I've had a few cars but I never clicked how i did with the one i have now.
sorry, Sorry, SORRY
why does everyone want to replace points with an electronic ignition? I owned many cars with points, coil, distributor and never once didn't they start and add to it after a nuclear holocaust that Nova will still start, jeeeeezh! Allowing it wasn't blown up. Now the brakes, drums were fine when everyone had them but say your behind a car with 4 disc brakes and it stops short, watch out.
Kafayı fazla sallama.
Not a tractor
I hit like BUT the voice behind the driver was trying WAY to hard to be funny!!!
Damn.. I'm pretty much done view this channel's driving inset m year make model videos. sounds like boiler plate script is being used. As script written by someone who has no long term experience in driving vehicle with engineering from the late thirties to the early 70s if not later. Yes drum brakes are prone to fading in some driving conditions, they don't fade immediately after application. Yes manual steering has large steering wheel, and a high number of turns stop to stop, that's the nature of the technology why drone on about it in every drive video. recirculating ball gear boxes and the remainder of the steering gear is inherently prone to wondering. Well maintained cars of this era track down the road as well as any modern care. All I'm left with is the dude doing the commentary is ignorant as hell, or overstating reality for some reason. That the cars being driven are clapped out pieces of junk. .
