This is a video about Speedrunning Tf2 Achievement Barbequeq, where you have to make someone on the enemy team ragequit as pyro, my full list of restrictions are that:

I used to think the "domination" system to be bad because it make me tilted . then i realized that the system is genius . it made me play harder and it painted a target on the most dangerous player on the enemy team . unintentionally making me and my team play better to remove the domination .
Yeah the only time I actually go try hard mode is whenever I get dominated lol
Why? Tf2 is a casual game at its heart that should be enjoyed lightly, nobody likes sweats and no life lime scouts. Better =/= more scoar pointz, better = more fun. If you need competition go into a thousand others comp sbmm sweat-fests like CS GO or LoL or Apex.
@@TheManinBlack9054 different people enjoy the game differently and it's not unreasonable to go try hard mode when you're getting dominated since the system itself is made to encourage you to play better, what is annoying is when people get sweaty the entire match and at taunting after every kill
@@TheManinBlack9054 even if i agree . domination system is such old thing . that it's like random crits at this point . it's kinda part of tf2 identity . it not always necessary for me to try hard when i get dominated . depend on the mood and my plan for the day . if want too or not (not like i am that good either)
but did you never have those tf2 matches where your team stop the enemy from pushing the second point or the last point . just because your team start playing more seriously ? (i am not talking about competitive here but in normal game) those usually the most fun matches and hey if i want do something more casual . i just play CTF or 2fort .
That's the reason why is a bad system, it's loud and annoying, can trigger multiple times in a row, no ond keeps track of how many times they die or killed so it's unexpected, unintentional and random, makes people mad both players and tryhards since it's not under the players controls, players are forced into it, you where forced to go out of your chill gaming experience into a sidequest with no rewards that the player is forced to do to remove the annoying target icon floating on the screen which gets in the way, ruined the gaming session, gives dumb people (tryhards) the idea of being superior or better than you when most of the times someone gets a domination or revenge is pure random chance, the kill assist triggers can and have multiple times ignored the player doing 90% of someone's hp, in the long run and as ab oldschool player it gives absoultely no value to the game in the slightest.

It’s funny that the game that encourages toxicity in the 10 years I played it, I experienced less total toxicity than in 3 months of overwatch

Idk, i've seen a lot of toxicity, like nazis, sexists, homophobes etc. sad part is if you try to kick them the server will all vote against it and if they try to kick you you'll be kicked in no time, its a thankless job but doing the right thing isnt always the the most popular

In case anyone is confused as to why the achievement is called BarbeQueQ, QQ or qq is often used to represent crying online as the letters resemble 2 eyes with tears coming out of them.
I think QwQ is better.

This is why I love tf2, you can make clear friendships and rivalries in games and it just adds to the experience. From experience, some of my friendships were established through matches like this.
I have plenty of people on my friends list so let because one of us outmatched the other in a friendly game on casual and we wanted to continue playing together. This is why I love the game so damn much.

Jokes aside, I have no recollection as to why I capped. But if I had to guess, it's probably either because A) someone already took the intel, died, and I decided to finish the cap, B) I was in the 2Fort match for long enough to me to cap (sounds stupid I know), or C) the match was tied 2-2 and I decided to cap before the enemy got the chance.
Carefully checking through the frames in the video, it was tied 2-2, and the intel was dropped somewhere, and instantly capped when picked up. Can't blame you for the temptation on that one.
Sometimes, you just gotta cap 2Fort. I remember the dread I had trying to complete 2Fort (and Hightower) contracts, since contract progress is _only_ saved once the round is over.

I don't understand why would you *not* cap on casual. If you want an endless game go to 24/7 2fort or whatever. I hate when people complain about casual cappers, let people actually play the game as its intended.
@@romangiertych5198 Friendlies exist? They're people too and don't like it when their little party is broken up, so like don't cap on friendly servers? Its not that hard.
With the Dragon’s Fury, you gotta not only aim, but keep holding the fire button. It fires faster if you land your hits.
As for the airblasting, since you’ve been gone, airblast sends enemies up higher if you aim at the ground or their feet instead of just aiming up. If you know both of these things, I’m sorry, but it didn’t seem to be reflected in your gameplay.

I knew airblasting was weird now, and that it doesn't always bounce enemies up in a predictable arc anymore, I didn't know I needed to do that!

Barbbque was one of the first achievements i got when doing pyro contracts. I’m just say it’s pure luck they left after I dominated

This was really fun and incredbily well edited! If you want to try another tedious challenge, I suggest the amptuator contract on a new account. It's practically impossible and will give you a kdr more uneven than the points on dustbowl's RED team. Truly a contract for masochists.
Videos of this high quality and subject are unusual to come by, and often don't get the appreciation deserved. Great video and I hope you do well, if not for the entertainment of watching a person succumb to playing pyro for hours, then for the LISA ost.
Noted on the amputator thing- contracts are mostly after my time. I genuinely had no idea about them lol
@@zenoooooo Oh man some of them are absolute HELL. Notably the phlog and maybe the flare cause a requirment for that is 5 flare kills in one life, 3 times. But nothing is worse than the afformentioned Amputator contract. You get the choice of begging people in 2fort to help you or you lose all sense of self and dignity.
Tbh I forgot about them too until I found out about the aussie contracktor you get after completing them all, but shit was the amputator a mistake. To any medic mains reading stay CLEAR from it okay, get the damn jarate and syndey sleep your way through that shit instead of syndey weeping
To expand how fucking ridiculous the amputator contract is, you need to heal 250 health in 1 second. There are 2 ways to do this.
You could go the intended route and use the amputator taunt. The amputator taunt heals at 25 health per second, which means you need ten people to be healed by it at once. You need ALL BUT ONE of your teammates to be within range, and ALL of them need to be at least 25 below their base health, since the taunt doesn't overheal.
Alternatively, you can use the quickfix uber on a heavy below 50 health that hasn't been hurt for 15 seconds in order to get critical healing and just barely make it past the required health per second. I wanna stress that you are using the FASTEST HEALING medigun, with the SUPER HEALING uber, and the TRIPLE HEALING effect of crit heals, and you BARELY pass the threshold
This contract is so fucking stupid, and I don't understand how the guy who made it even thought it would be bearable. The math is so simple to do, it's so obvious how unlikely this shit is to happen, and how out of your control it is. It's not even a skill issue, it's a statistical guarantee that this will be hell to get through. it's honestly baffling that anyone let this stupid challenge onto the fucking ideas board
@@ninjegeabey2536 I feel like they went through a random number generator and called it a day. No sane human gives Medic, aka the class that sees the respawn timer more than the asses of his teammates, a requirement of 3000 health healed in a single life, 6 fucking times.
No way that somebody actually thought that Medic, the class where constantly moving is a requirement of life because literally everybody wants you dead, should sit still and become a bootleg dispenser; one that will still give you ammo cause no way in hell are your teammates gonna protect your ass.
The worst part is that since it doesn't count overheal, it forces you to starve your teammates so you can get a chance at barely passing. It actively encourages you to play the worst medic of your life while expecting you to play the best. Absolutely barbaric.

Theoretically, the speedrun would boil down to "who can get a random Scorch Shot/Phlog drop the fastest?", so you might want to put some sort of limits to negate the randomness. Outside of that, renting a Phlog and playing Dustbowl 3 defense is a dummy easy way to farm dominations. Great video otherwise though, it's always interesting to see people solve the metagame for stupid challenges like this.

Maybe you could've ran Dragon's fury and a flare gun (Any flare gun ignites an opponent from a distance, or is an easier first shot which is surprisingly more effective than just the fury)
The Free pyroland contracts allow you to use a rental Dragon's fury, and I haven't tested it myself, but you might be also able to pick up something from the Mann Co store rentals as well.
Ahhhh. Didn't think much about contract rentals, they're mostly after my time. Still haven't done any of them on my main account.
If I try this again after I've practiced up with the fury, that might be plan A.
Oh and something to keep in mind about the dragon's fury is that the projectiles are off center from the crosshair slightly towards the upper left, which explains a lot of things.

Edit: I spoke too soon. The premise was right on the money, but man just all of editing, research and ridiculous amount of effort that went into this made it feel like the product of all of that experience and skill gained since the old run of the channel to make for a pretty fucking fantastic vid I'd be willing to call almost an all-timer.

hightower is much more friendly to the TDM-focused players, so you get less friendlies from all the fighting, but that doesn't make it less friendly than 2fort

0:31 i gave someone this achievement because it had led me to realize that there were 4 other snipers when i was the only one at the start so i changed to a class that there was no one, pyro. ngl though i did give someone else that achievement because i was actually salty about being backstabbed so many times

Last 2fort match someone said something about the Jews and everyone decided to just try to see who could say the most racist slur on earth.
I remember how I got this achievement... It was funny because I was just starting to play TF2... I got 2ford again and I decided to fish a little on the lower tier for a pyro with a neon annihilator .. this unfortunate player changed classes and weapons, but nothing helped him ... in the end, he took a pyro with a neon annihilator, but this did not help him either ... he swore in the chat and left the game, and I got an achievement)

I got the achievement in just a few days of playing when I started. When I read it’s the description I found it very funny

I think the death graph should be based on involvement since last full heal, represent per class by percentage of how much damage was done by each between full hp and empty, red bar filling base of clear bar determines how much of the damage was from criticals

I was reading a direct quote from Jeff Kaplan when he used to go by Tigole. Genuinely unsure what you want from me there- was deliberately juxtaposing overwatches stance on toxicity with how much of a shitter Kaplan was (and probably is, given that he was buds with the serial sexual predator at blizzard)

How does using a deliberately censored slur undermine my point, exactly? You're the only one of however many thousands of people to complain about it or comment about it. Removing the slur from his post reduces my intended impact- and more importantly becomes a misrepresentation of what he said.

I think a good way to maximize the speed of the run would to be to try and steer away from any kind of valve server, as people on them tend to be (albeit only slightly) more "reserved" as opposed to those on, say, a trade server
go on like a trade_plaza server or something, and just start tryharding the friendlies that like to hide in the goal posts on that map, if the server has grapple hooks that's also a plus because it allows you to have better mobility and gives you a better chance of getting out of the 100% clear shot sight line that is the trade_plaza spawns before you can get sniped
another map that you could use are the trade_minecraft_neon maps, as those trade servers seem to have a pretty healthy tryhard to friendly ratio. they also tend to be pretty full (around 80-100% full at peak hours)
Honestly I was worried that playing on a nonvalve server would invalidate the run- too easy to seed players that just feed me

Hightower death spots data interesting
I was gonna make it a bigger part of the video and then I realized it actually measured where I spending the most time in high tower and didn't actually provide any useful data
my tip on captcha, focus on the block that have 90% the thing you need to find,ignore any block that even contain 10% or lower thing you need to click,think like a robot
When clicking on this I didn't expect a tf2 video from the guy who taught me how to grapple and drop an enemy in D&D from 180 feet in one turn, but I'm certainly not complaining
