- For the Wheels and Waves festival, what better idea could we have come up with than to turn the RnineT into a scrambler? The Concept Path 22 was designed to express freedom and the name comes from one of Europe’s most hidden surf spots. “Path 22” is a stretch of beach inaccessible to cars, located on the Atlantic coast of southern France, half an hour’s walk through one of Europe’s biggest pine forests.

Name needs to produce a scrambler! Put my name down for one!
I wonder how it handles on the road with the board attached. Seems it would make a lot of turbulence and make the ride pretty unsafe.. note how there was no footage of them riding with the board
Hello, please could someone indicate where is the aluminium rack used here is coming from? I am desperate to find a surf rack solution for my Gs 1200. Thank you very much!
I currently ride an R1200R and love the bike. Too many people are coming up with 'unique' designs but 'unique' doesn't necessarily make them good designs and this bike does nothing for me personally.
Dump the surfing board and change the colour and you have me !
NO WAY you can park a heavy bike on its side stand on a beach, it WILL tip over. As for carrying surfboards, the mopeds and some m/c here in Honolulu do it all the time. This bike doesn't appeal to me, BMW is copying Harley's marketing style of endless variations pasted onto what is essentially the same underpinnings. But then I'm a K-bike guy...
Hi Charles, Path 22 is a concept bike which we presented at the Wheels and Waves Festival in 2015. Meanwhile we transferred this idea into serial production. It's the BMW R nineT Scrambler which is part of our Heritage family.
