Hi everyone! Thank you every so much for watching the vlog! I've been getting a lot of questions lately on the Airbnb I stayed in in Grindelwald. Here is the link to the Airbnb! I was finally able to get the link from my friend who booked it. I honestly started crying watching this as I’ve got a long distance best friend there I hate to think about it but I just do, it’s honestly home to me :(
Very beautiful vlog with nice music. Love watching it again and again. It would be nice if you could share another information video about your trip planning, itinerary, travel tips etc.
Watching this for inspiration for my trip - OMG your videography skills are amazing!! Love how you filmed all the aesthetic shots, the editing and your vlogging style are so fun! So glad I found your channel 🙌
If you go to Rosengarten at the right time there are some cherry blossoms (gifted from the Japanese government like 50 years ago) And very close to that the bärengraben (where some bears live)
i’m strongly considering going to switzerland this year and after watching this i fell in love with the airbnb you stayed at (14:42) would you PLEASE let me know exactly which one is it? 😭 i am desperate, btw great beautiful video i will try to follow your itinerary
Yes!! I've been getting a lot of questions on the Airbnb- I posted a comment in the comment section with the Airbnb link! Hope it helps and that you all have a great trip!
Thank you so, so much for this! My fiancé and I will be spending our honeymoon in Switzerland next April and this video has been super informative and aesthetic as well 🥺
Love this video.planning a trip to Switzerland and I found this video very useful. Can you please share the link of the Airbnb you stayed in. Thank you 🙂
Hi there! I will try to clean up an itinerary and link it in the description of the video! And personally, I loved Grindelwald and wanted to stay there overnight for the experience of being in the mountains and staying in one of the quaint cottages in the mountains. I would stay in Interlaken separately. You could also stay in Interlaken the whole time and take a day trip to Grindelwald but personally I think in the spring it is really worth it to stay in Grindelwald overnight! Hope that helps!
Great video, beautifully done. I'll be visiting Zurich and Interlaken region in May, how's the weather? Is a light jacket sufficient? Also, how was paragliding, does it feel like floating or is there turbulence?
@@lucyohio3005 haha sure, yes I'm planning to buy the half fare card and berner oberland pass. The plan now is Zurich for 2 nights, Interlaken/Jungfrau region for 4 nights and back to Zurich for last night. My flights into and out of Switzerland are into/from Zurich. Might take a day trip to Montreux but undecided.
@@safieeaziz2398 Wow, it sounds exactly like my plans! Only I do 1 day in Bern and 2.5 days Interlaken/jungfrau. 1 day staying in Bern gave you free transportation around. Then i'm planning to purchase Swiss Pass for 4 days ( starting from April 15 will be promotion "buy 4 days and 5th day free). It seems cheaper than card and oberland pass together. Still doing my math :)
That's great, I found that the half fare card and berner oberland pass works for me. But I'm still trying to piece everything together too. Seems like you won't be doing much traveling between cities, that's what I found to be most expensive. Especially if they're further apart. When in May will you be there? If you're planning to go to Jungfraujoch, the trip up will be included in any pass I think.
The weather is really nice! Quite mild and even a bit warm when it's sunny. In May still rain a little so maybe bring a rain jacket. Also if you plan on hiking or visiting the top of certain mountains in Interlaken, it may be good to bring a lightweight puffer or wind breaker as it could get a bit chilly!
Hi Cathy. Love your vlog💜 Will be in Switzerland this Oct and got more excited when I saw your vlog. Just want to ask, did you buy the Swiss Travel Pass? Did it cover all of your trips? Coz I'm torm between the Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Half Fare. Thank you in advance😊
Hi there! Sorry for the late reply but hoping I caught you before your trip. I did get the Swiss Travel Pass! It covered all my transport minus the special mountain railways, cog railway trains, and gondolas. For those special ones like the Jung Frau Bahn and the Eiger Express, they were only a partial discount instead of being fully covered. I ended up choosing the full Swiss pass because I knew I would be taking the train a lot in between different cities so it was worth it but if you are only visiting a couple of cities then the half fare price might be better!
Did you have all the trains and hotels prebooked? Or did you just book as you went? Because I really want to go through the villages but I just feel like it would be so much easier to just find a hotel to stay in whenever we get there instead
Ah yes! That confused me as well at first. I did not prebook any of the trains because I don't think that is super necessary. There is almost always more space on the trains so I wouldn't worry about them selling out. I think hotels, if you plan on staying at a particular locations, you may want to book in advance just in case especially if you go July-August which is peak season. Hostels typically had room when I visited in May but that may not be the case during peak season. Hope that helps!
@@cathydingg is it possible to just get a place in one of the villages and just spend the day going from one to village to another and then back to your hotel?

Hi!! I also went early-middle May! I think for Grindelwald most hikes were open, I hiked to some spots but they may just have snow so make sure you bring good shoes. The hikes to higher elevation lakes are unfortunately probably prettier around July-August because when I went snow was still covering the lake. On the bright side though, I think personally Grindelwald is prettiest in the spring around May because of flowers, and greenery and mild weather. As for Zermatt, I don't recommend going in May if you plan on hiking. I did some hikes and it was nice but I don't think it is worth it to go there unless you can do some of the popular hikes which were mostly closed when I went! Overall if you want just to enjoy the scenery and do some hikes, May is a good time. If you just want to hike then maybe do July or August! Hope that helps!

Does Switzerland accept visa Cards or will i need to exchange money?
They do accept Visa! Most places take card but I would exchange a little just in case- maybe ~$200 dollars for a week in Switzerland.
Visa and mastercard are the frequent ones here i think.
And yes, having some money exchanged is well, especially if you plan to go into the mountains.
