i wish we could put dutch city planners in charge of urbanism for my country spain and why not the whole world. dutch city planning, swiss rail planning, finnish education planning... that is what we need, to learn from the best at each sector
When in Utrech, I used to use Westraven Sneltram stop to get to /from the city. The changes - for the better - since the 1990s are astounding. The tram service has grown, though I'd still hesitate to describe it as a 'network' (any more routes in the pipeline?) and the return of the canal in place of that hideous ribbon of pollution is something many towns and cities ( *cough* Swindon) could learn from.
@@tomthomson7367 They should be banned also outside the cities. You'll get a nice green country. Walking between cities is the best sports. At the end of the day, stone age was the most green age.
@@tomthomson7367 Every thing must be banned. Cars, clothes, computers, bicycles, trains, etc. They are all made of and with support of oil and gas and is polluting. Even people should be banned, they pollute when breathing and going to the WC. Oh, I forgot, the grass and the flowers give too much CO2. They shoul d be banned also. Life should be banned, right?

Moet zijn:" Nederland probeert deze blue print verder uit te breiden in andere EU-landen, maar dit is makkelijker gezegd dan gedaan".
That’s incredible. And this type of change feels further away than ever in the UK despite how necessary and urgent change like this is.
Greenery?, isn´t any country doing that?.
Yes! More beautiful lush greenery is awesome.
And thumbs up for the much-improved video quality! It's so much better now.
I walk and cycle through here every day and the changes are so exciting and lovely! It's getting better and better every day :)
Fantastic transformation 🎉
Civilization reconnecting to Nature.
Very good Utrecht! For citizens and visitors alike.

Utrecht loopt opnieuw voorop.
Utrecht doet het heel goed en loopt in bepaalde dingen voorop, maar dit soort projecten zie je al jaren door heel Nederland.
@@Benny_000 Mee eens, it looks like some corners of Amsterdam here are getting reappraised and improved.

Wonderful!
2:31 I thought you were going to show a "before" picture from the 1950' with the same tree but tinier :D
Green commitment

Did not see any green asphalt in this video. 1/10 for urbanism.
😆
Why not ban all private cars like in North Korea?
Why should you do that?
Cars are great outside the cities.
