Thank you! I go in for my vein mapping, this Thursday. Hopefully, everything will be okay, so I can go ahead and get the Fistula surgery. Much appreciated!
@@vannaty7 you are welcome by the way am a vascular surgery resident and i deal with patients needing this operation very often i know what is like stay strong m dear
Why shortcut procedure? I do the vein mapping as regular veinous upper duplex, b-mode color then doppler per veins section i will start at ijv, subclavian to axillary with measurements of trans and long section, then at the arm brachial prox mid and distal also measurements trans and long section, cephalic arm down to fore arm down to radial prox to distal and ulnar prox to distal same as is measurements trans ang long section with compression also after that i will do it again with tourniquet repeatedly same as i did as regular venous mapping, including also the measurements of pre anas, anastomosis and post anas, that's my protocol. Usually it consuming hours approximately 1 hr and 30mins or 2hrs depending of the vein of the patients.
I am due for a VUS Pre Fistula Vein Mapping next month. My only concern with this is if they can keep it on my left dormant hand without having to switch to my right arm. Would my current bulge left arm have fistulotomy procedure?? on Thank you.

If only it were this easy... At my vascular clinic there is so much more to be mindful of.
Right this is a joke . It's a quick look but not a mapping. Ours take about 45 mins to hour bilateral mapping and Palmar arch test.
Great demonstration

What is the importance of basilic forearm vein assessment? I have never seen a ulnarbasilic AVF. Just curious.

So very helpful
This video can be a starting point for other video guides with more detail.
Reorient the probe by looking for the notch. Every transducer has one.
The screen is patient orientation. Your left is the right screen and vice versa..
Why are you so scared to us gel?😂
😂 that is not a mapping. Im a Sonographer and its way more than that!
