God is with us.
This is the key to our success in life.
2.5 million people - 1 million only entered into the promised land, why? because they knew God was with them.
Numbers 13
12 TOP LEADERS Are Sent into Canaan
( SEE ALSO - Deuteronomy 1.19-33)
1 - 4 These were the tribes and the names of their leaders:
Shammua, Shaphat, Caleb,, Igal, Joshua, Palti, Gaddiel,
Gaddi, Ammiel, Michael, Nahbi,and Geuel.
6 These are the names of the men Moses sent out to explore the land. (Moses called Hoshea son of Nun by the name Joshua.)
17 Moses gave the men these instructions as he sent them out to explore the land: “Go north through the Negev into the hill country. 18 See what the land is like, and find out whether the people living there are strong or weak, few or many. 19 See what kind of land they live in. Is it good or bad? Do their towns have walls, or are they unprotected like open camps? 20 Is the soil fertile or poor? Are there many trees? Do your best to bring back samples of the crops you see.” (It happened to be the season for harvesting the first ripe grapes.)
MOSES NEVER ASKED THE LEADERS IF THEY COULD TAKE THE LAND OR NOT, HE WANTED ALL THE DETAILS.
The leaders should have known by all the miracles God performed for them to stay alive HE WAS WITH THEM!
The Scouting Report
25 - 27
30 But Caleb tried to quiet the people as they stood before Moses. “Let’s go at once to take the land,” he said. “We can certainly conquer it!”
31 But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. “We can’t go up against them! They are stronger than we are!” 32 So they spread this bad report (EVIL REPORT KJV) about the land among the Israelites: ...... 33.....
Their bad report was, “God is not with us!”.
Numbers 14 (NLT)
The People Rebel - WANTED THEIR OWN WAY. NO! GODS WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY!
1 - 4 Then they plotted among themselves, “Let’s choose a new leader and go back to Egypt!”
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell face down on the ground before the whole community of Israel. 6 Two of the men who had explored the land, Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, tore their clothing. (THIS CANT BE HAPPENING WE HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR GODS PROMISE - HE IS WITH US GUYS!)
7 & 8...
9 Do not rebel against the Lord, (AND ASAY HE IS NOT WITH US) and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They are only helpless prey to us! They have no protection, but the Lord is with us! Don’t be afraid of them!”
10 But the whole community began to talk about stoning Joshua and Caleb. Then the glorious presence of the Lord appeared to all the Israelites at the Tabernacle.
LETS JUMP DOWN TO:
Numbers 32:10-12 (NLT)
10 Then the Lord was very angry with them, and he vowed, 11 ‘Of all those I rescued from Egypt, no one who is twenty years old or older will ever see the land I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, for they have not obeyed me wholeheartedly.
12 THE ONLY EXCEPTIONS are Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they have wholeheartedly followed the Lord.’ THEY BELEIVED THAT GOD WAS WITH THEM! GOD IS ALL IN FOR YOU! ARE YOU ALL IN FOR HIM.
GOD IS WITH US TODAY - HE HAS NOT CHANGED.
