    Read by David Suchet
Quick Summary of the book of Amos:
Amos begins with pronouncing judgment against Damascus, Tyre, Edom, and Gaza, among other places. The prophet travels north from Judah to Israel to warn that nation of God’s judgment. He lists their sins and extends God’s invitation to repent and be forgiven. After the destruction of Israel, God promises, there will be a time of restoration.

May the Lord bless you as you listen to his word :)
    Have a blessed day!

The word of God is revealing and explains itself. It is the same yesterday, today and forever. He said it and that settles it

This is a glorious reading... one question that I'll have for the NIV translators concerns the way in which they've chosen to handle amos 4:11... the NIV and the New Living Translation both translate the same way but none of the other translations not ESV not the nasb not the English translated biblical Dead Sea Scrolls.

I don't get why translators lie about God's name, God's name is not 'Lord'. Why don't they simply leave in tetragrammaton if they don't want to misspell or incorrectly pronounce God's name. Tetragrammaton is pronounced as Yahweh ( or at least it is the most likely pronunciation). Why don't they simply leave in tetragrammaton if they don't want to misspell or incorrectly pronounce God's name. Still, deliberately rejecting God's name and lying about it is really disturbing, reminds me of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Says the person with the name damnblessing 😐 Lord is one of the translated words from the original Hebrew, but God has many names. Lord is just one of them.

      @@emmalilliendahl2131 Hello.
You don't understand what you are talking about. Lord wasn't translated from Hebrew. Lord comes from old German. In Hebrew, were used such terms as Elohim, Elshadai etc, none of them can be translated as lord, because lord doesn't come from Hebrew! What's really disturbing is that God of Israel has a name, but most of translators tell a lie such as 'Lord' is his name. Although, we can argue that he is 'loafgiver', nevertheless that is not his name, and that 'name' did not come from Hebrew as you claim.
P.S. what's bothering you about 'damnblessing'?

Do you think your save strictly because you call him Lord or because you call him Jesus or because you call him Yahweh there's so many names of the Lord that people can choose to call him that is not a sin why are you trying to make it so he's the king of kings am I allowed to call him King of Kings he's the Lord of lords his name is Jesus his name is Emmanuel take a pick on what name you choose to call him at that time there are meanings behind the name of God all kinds of meanings he is Jehovah Rapha Jehovah-jireh are you literally basing things off of your Works where in scripture does it say that we must call him by a certain name you are making things religious for no reason and depending on your works maybe I'm wrong but come on there are so many different translations to scripture who are you to say what is correct and what is not I'm just saying there's so many different translations we searched out the word and try to understand who our God

      @@user-xl2rk1oc9c Hello.
What my save are you talking about?
My point about the name of god is not about how we call him, but about translations that don't translate, instead replace by something different, which becomes a lie. The word 'lord' has nothing to do with Scriptures, lord is a Germanic word meaning something like 'loaf giver'. 'Lord of lords' means 'loaf giver of loaf givers'. Are you saying that he gives loafs to loaf givers that in turn give loaf to who?, to other people that give loaf to who?, to other people that give loaf to who...? How is god ' loaf giver of loaf givers', what does it mean, and how it became his name? Please explain, thanks.

@@damnblessing654 well so many people are so quick to try to tell everyone else how things should be instead of building a the relationship with God there are so many translations who can truly say what translation is correct we're supposed to search the scriptures God tells us not to quarrel people constantly are finding something to complain about in Coral about instead of just learning the word of God I guess that's what I'm trying to say there are so many different names and meanings when it comes to the Lord translations as well 2nd Timothy 2:23-26 God bless
