It’s funny bc I got the same car and the same lights on. It’s his tractions control and break assist warning light and check engine light. But all my shit got fixed. He’s ABS warning light 💡 s just a bad sensor.
- I'm pretty sure that the 3.9 was only available in the Impala "LTZ" (and police). An easy way to tell is that the 3.9 came with a dual exhaust and the rear bumper has 2 exhaust ports. I recently inherited a 2009 Impala LTZ from my parents. The car has every available option including a tan leather interior and the awesome chrome "SS" wheels. With only 36,000 miles it's literally dead-mint, like new! My parents ordered it new from our local GM dealership in the spring and they received it early summer of 2009. When not being driven, mom's Impala was "always" in their garage. My parents lived in Florida from October until May every year until recently. They used dad's Silverado to drive to Florida and so mom's Impala stayed at home in the garage for about 7 months out of the year since new. My dad is extremely meticulous and so mom's Impala ALWAYS got an oil every 3,000 miles (whether it needed it or not!). They're both in their 80's now and don't drive anymore, so they offered me the car a couple of months ago. I drive a Ram Sport and my wife has a Malibu. Initially I thanked them dearly for the offer but I told them that I really didn't need another vehicle, "however" when I had a second look and noticed that it has only 36,000 miles, I gladly accepted their generous offer. We gave our Malibu to our youngest son and so now my wife drive the Impala. Man what a beautiful car! It looks and drives like BRAND NEW! It's completely original so I replaced the 4 tires and that's it! That 3.9 is surprisingly quick. ---> No bullshit guys, I get compliments on that car almost every single time I gas up!
I really like how it sounds. Reminds me of my old '99 malibu with the 3.1, muffler had a hole so I just cut it off and clamped a pipe, I swear it sounded just like your impala. I drove the shit out of that car lol
The 5.7 Pistons means that those are the V8 it's like the old 4.3 l V6 that went into the s10s they were basically a V8 with last two cylinders chopped off because the Pistons and cylinders were the same size as the V8 of the time but with six cylinders
I would’ve kept that quiet. But I’m older and like less noise these days. My OBS Silverado is sort of loud due to the Flowmaster exhaust. I straight piped an F150 that was a v8, it sounded good, but was too loud. I like to be able to slide quietly now.
The 3.9 made no power. Like 250hp to the crank. The 3.5 was even worse. The 3.6 made 305 to the crank and was paired to the 6 speed. Came out in like 2012 and up
You gotta have fun with what you got. I had an older 2007 3.5 LT. It was a good car. Until traded it for a 2013 3.6 LT. Let me tell you man. For the price, I don't think you can get anything better. I've had it for almost 8 years now and I'm not giving it away. Feels faster than the 3.5 and it sounds nicer than those old pushrod V6.
@@TswanzyLandthank you.... I have been trying to find who was faster.... and in the 90s I had a 2.5 and beat a 3.1. and the 3.1 was supposed to be faster. And it wasn't.
Use to waste my gas in a 3.5 v6 lol but the impala was fun to cruise around in… now loving the panther platform v8s And you can tell those challengers anywhere of those circle lights 😅
You can enjoy all vehicles. I have a Crown Vic, Suburban,F150,Cadillac,Yukon,BMW,Silverado and looking at buying an Impala for gas mileage to replace my Altima . Probably the impala with the 3.8L(00-05) tho
Yep I have the interceptor and it’s pretty peppy. One of my exhaust fell off they come with dual and it sounds pretty damn mean for it just rotting perfectly off.
That sounds sick! Its fantastic that even with the straight pipe you dont have drone. Keeping it ripping brother!
Bro got the whole dash lit up jus like the block
Haha

@@devo_beda_don8165 yeah same with mine
Same the car same lights so we all can’t get them off our impalas 😂🤷🏾♂️💯

I never got to drive the 3.9L, mine is the 3.6L and it's a pretty peppy engine. That darn wheel speed sensor harness, though!

Isn’t the LT a 3.5?
some 3.5 some 3.9
Ltz is 3.9 lt is 3.5

This is a may 2024 update. it's feels like the 3.5 Impala is faster than the 3.9 impalas
nah my homie had a 3.5 we raced and i won top end, it was barely by anything but i won

I think the 3.9 is pushrod and was in the police interceptor
