His intangibles are also a huge pro, he showed he was tough as nails in the CFP Semis, and going back to when he was in high school on QB1 he seems like an all around great guy.
@@abhinavbinu3545 His strength is that Ohio State is basically a low-level NFL team, so his WRs are always winning their battles with the opposing DBs and his line is usually damn good and his RB broke a school record...So they make him look good. His weakness is that Ohio State has literally NEVER produced a single QB in school HISTORY that has been successful in the NFL
@@paidtourist6563 bruh why r u scouting the helmet scout on the player. Fields is right there neck to neck with trevor lawrence on physical traits he just needs to improve on mechanical stuff.
@@abhinavbinu3545 I'm not. I actually said publicly that Fields is the best QB in Ohio State history BEFORE he ever took an official snap in a game. He should have a decent career if he has a drive to be great. If not, his ceiling will be around what Tyrod Taylor's is. That being said, I think he will struggle much more as a rookie than ppl think. His processing speed is slow, his decision-making when shit breaks down is suspect, and he relies on his legs too much instead of just going to the next progression. There's a reason he wasn't selected #3 overall
Fast forward 2yrs or so... The Bears are thinking about adding a USC QB. Caleb Williams? I say no. It should be Max Browne in some sort of offensive coaching position. Experience with different offenses. Versed in both film study and physical mechanics. Able to relate to being a top QB prospect himself. Also understands the humbling experience of things not going how you hoped initially. Some guys, like Geno Smith, just need a bit more time and another chance to shine. The Bears are in need of someone with the ability to turn a raw stone into a polished gem. OC...QB coach...some sort of assistant...whatever it takes just to get your foot in the door. The Bears are on the rise. Added some Pro Bowl caliber vets like DJ Moore and Montez Sweat. Justin Fields has shown flashes, but he has the potential to do A LOT more. He's a legit QB1. Bagent is a very solid QB2. Tons of draft capital (likely two top5 picks). Insiders saying they'll take Marvin Harrison Jr. -- a generational WR prospect. Announcing the game is a valid way to stick around. But it can't compare to the thrill of influencing it to be victorious. Everyone is saying Fields is done. "He's just a running back." The Bears organization might be impressed by someone who feels OTHERWISE. Anyone with free editing software can make a sharp video presentation with college film, NFL film, and their ideas on how to help him reach his full potential. Also certain plays/concepts that should be called less or worked on more. Addition by subtraction. Caleb Williams will have plenty of other teams falling all over themselves to have him. Just my 2 cents. I've read "The Alchemist." Life is about the journey -- not just the destination. Perhaps Justin Fields could elevate Max Browne. 1 hand washes the other. Teamwork makes the dream work.
This is just awesome work by you Max, were inching ever so closer to that Trevor lawrence breakdown as well such a great breakdown, fired me up so much for draft buzz. Justin's stock reminds me of Deshaun Watson when he came out and he was one of the better players but a lot of GM's were either smokescreening or overanalyzing the tape and suddenly hes the 3rd QB off the board. i don't blame GM's at the time, his tape confused me a lil bit but they were wrong, and i'm getting a bad feeling a lot of people are about to make the same mistake with justin. i hope i'm wrong and he is a top 5 pick, i don't think hes a bad player to take, and i think he stacks up well in this group. but yeah it doesn't make sense that their dropping him SO MUCH, i won't believe he's not top 10 till i see it.
Love your analysis. keep going with the videos and you will see your subs blow up! Just like with anything, the hard work will pay off even when you think it won't or isn't happening fast enough.
@@maxbrowne4 You will get there man. Like i said your analysis is spot on, just keep being yourself and it will come to you. Nothing worse than listening to someone on youtube and knowing they are being fake if that makes sense. Being an athlete you have to have a sense of ego or confidence in your yourself but you truly seem like a level headed guy. I appreciate seeing that from you. You were brave enough to tackle your story in a real way. We all have a story and what matters is how you get up and deal with challenges/disappointments in your life.
Max, I subscribed, you’re ability to communicate the nuances of the QB position is on point. QB coach? HS head coach? On the draft, Mac Jones is the one, he has the guts to stick it out for 5 years same team, doesn’t wine or complain for a transfer, but sticks it out to finally get the chance (Joe Montana Tom Brady?) Thats my measure of a leader, the guts in any career to keep going when no one else gives a crap to keep getting better. Mac Jones is the next dynasty QB. Take that TO THE BANK.
I think Justin Fields is at the worst the second best QB in the Draft. I’d take him over Wilson I think his trajectory is closer to Trevor Lawrence. With that being said your Commentary was unique, objective and intriguing. Keep it up!
@@maxbrowne4 zack i was a defensive lineman in high school but im thinking of playing QB in college im 6 foot 1 220 but im advice on how to not be afraid of getting hit in the pocket im used to tackling people and being the one being the agressor
The Jets can’t stick with Darnold. If they pick up his 5th year and he continues to suck, they’re on the hook for that cap hit and Darnold will have basically zero trade value. If they don’t pick up his option than he walks in FA afterwards. Either way, you’re talking about losing out on getting some value back on Darnold by trading him this year. And given that Darnold most likely isn’t going to become a franchise QB overnight, that seems like a silly risk. Trade him now when you can get something back for him, even if it’s just a 3rd or 4th, and grab a QB while you have a rare high pick and are looking at a good QB class. Also I think Wilson’s ceiling is much higher than Darnold’s. Darnold’s arm is more on the average side. It’s big enough to make every throw, but he doesn’t do it with ease. And his less than perfect mechanics effect him more than Wilson’s do. Not to mention it’s 3 years now and he still struggles on his pre and post snap reads on the NFL level. If I’m JD, I’m probably thinking long and hard right now at Wilson vs Fields.
interesting comp - I like it. At first thought, I think Fields is more accurate than Locker, but doesn't have as strong of an arm. Similar for sure though.
i thought Vince Young because he's so big, but just with a higher upside as a passer. i think he is in that Cluster of QB's with that specific playstyle like Locker, Young, and Cam Newton, and he's been a better passer at the same stage of his career. in my notes i did say fields gets dinged up a bit but maybe he has a breakthrough at the next level and never breaks down, you just never know about the health unless your a doctor doing those medicals. its tough.
@@alanm03 Well come on like Fields Watson before his troubles off the field was a Pro Bowler Fields will be good but I don't put outrageous expectations on people Watson won a National Title
Well, I'll agree outrageous expectations should not be put out there. I also don't agree with trying to compare to totally different players. Watson is Watson and Fields is Fields. And actually, the Auburn team won that title not Watson alone. Never give credit for winning to one man in a team sport no matter how good that player is. We know this because there are plenty of great quarterbacks that never won national titles.
