My best wishes to the Keith family. I've been there it's tough. My son had RSV and double pneumonia when he was just 3 weeks old he survived but it was almost 3 month of him being in an induced coma and intubated.
Love and hope to the young Keith family. Elijah. Fight the good fight little brother. Dad's gonna need a bag man and we can't wait to see you on the course.

Old school guys would know not to throw understable discs hard into the wind. Was really unimpressed with the pros on this one, which is not the norm.

I really enjoyed that the editor used the sound of a 20-lb frozen turkey, dropped from a bridge into the water, for every splashdown of a disc! Way to go full Foley on it!
They did that on the previous one too. Guess someone is trying to justify their job by doing a bunch of extra work to make a worse product.

It is intend to be funny, but might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
@@MetaltManiac I have an unfortunate habit of noticing over-the-top foley work in all kinds of media, its one of my pet peeves so I'm just kind of disgruntled in general, I've heard it done completely seriously too many times that I didn't even consider that it was being done comedically in this context.
@@Meta-Drew Sounds like you need to stop taking very light-hearted videos so seriously then even if the editing isn't up to your standards because it was very very obvious the sound effects were for fun as is most everything in these videos and somehow you're still worked up about em.
I met Emerson at a disc golf store across from Veteran’s in Arlington back when I first got into disc golf in 2014. He asked me if I’ve been playing a long time and I literally said “I’m here to buy my first disc.” He walked me through all the flight numbers and showed me some beginner friendly discs (ended up buying a Buzzz). It wasn’t until years later that I realized who I was talking to in the store that day…. The one and only Emerson Keith! I wish the best for his baby and I helped as much as I could.. Love the disc golf community
I ran into Connor O Reilly in Austin when I was in the store buying my first discs.

When I bought my first new discs after returning to disc golf in my late 40s (I had played in college but all those discs were super old DX plastic), I got a little help from Connor O Reilly.
Emerson was really nice when I met him on tour. Stopped eating to sign discs for me and my dad. Finances should never play a role in a person's survival. Shared what I could but still sending massive love towards the whole Keith family. The DG world loves you and we take care of each other

even though people make it seem that way it doesnt really. That baby would get care whether or not they had the money and at a minimum they could get alot of help by going to st.judes which charges parents nothing though that could be for just cancer. But either way theyre not jost gonna kick the baby out if they cant pay but they will be in debt for sure.

I thought the same thing. It's one of my top half dozen fairways. Without that wind I could get my River to that island on a good day.
Johnny Mcrae throws rivers like 500ft. Super underrated disc
@@ClarkPotter Right? I can barely throw it 300 but it flies the same way, barely any flip, long straight glide, medium hyzer at the end.
River in goldICE feels so good and with enough spin or on hyzer flips it ends up going all the way to the right so smooth and in retro plastic it is more over stable and goes slightly to the left. Love that disc so much and you can throw it 400ft easily with hyzer flips

Im a beginner (2 months in)....and to hear them say "No one wants the DX Leopard" kills me haha...that's my favorite disc in my bag!!!
I was the exact same when I started out, but I would recommend getting it in a champion plastic. It will warp less, and you can get more consistent shots with it long term.
If you watch the Practice Rounds, you'll hear the guys talk about Uli's "get out of jail" disc. Not a beat-in DX Leopard (i think it's a beat Avenger SS), but similar in theory. A REALLY beat-in understable disc can be as useful as a really overstable one. Keep that DX Leopard, Mark Lamont!

Dx discs are pretty good for starter.
It’s a great beginner disc, I love mine. I’ve thrown it so much it’s too flippy to use, so I bought a star one. Still a staple in my bag (I’ve been playing for like 6 months)

I love my Leopard DX. If I want a disc to go right on a backhand throw, that's the one. That's all it does, it doesn't go far, it doesn't fly flat. But it goes right every time.

It's funny how the discs they're trying to throw here are the same discs I would use to get on the island (Trespass, Wraith, Escape, etc.)
And once again, the river shows its true colors even though they diss it!
It does have some stability!
Haha yeah the river isn't THAT understable. Just really glidey. But with these beat up base plastics you never know how flippy they'll be.
@@Jaw656 thats true, but last time i remember someone saying it was a beginner disc and in their mind they threw it with a lot of hyzer and it never got to flat.
I might also be a little biased becouse i love the river as a straight/hyzerflip disc!

Chris getting a Gstar TB3 was almost a cheat code. That is such an easy mode disc to throw on a straight line.

I used to have a few 2012 Tim Selinske masters Kraits and they flew great. They were definitely understable but u could throw some crazy lines on wooded courses
I would love to know which disc each player would have chosen if they had an option to pick any disc from their own bag.

Sometimes you draft to get the goods for yourself, sometimes you gotta keep the other guy away from what he needs.

I k kw the pros are kinda joking abt the Krait but in all honesty, it's an amazing disc for people with average arm speed! I always bag one because of the dependability! So their arm speeds are too much for a Krait but if yall see one just try it!
