Isn’t it time for People to petition their State Gaming Boards and raise the taxable threshold to $5,000? The $1,200 amount was instituted in the 70’s, I believe. That was when $1,200 was considered a lot of money. Today, it’s not even relative to gaming jackpot standards. What are your thoughts?
I think casino should pay taxes or thier shouldn't be taxes at all because if your gambler like me, you will put it back and much more.
@@livefree322 …I agree with you, and the Feds let us off the hook, even though the wins do raise our income level on our tax forms, but the real rip-off is the State tax. Unless you can file as Professional Gambler, and not have to pay the State tax, you’re screwed. It’s highway robbery. The States make money on Entrance Head Fee tax every time you enter the casino. They make it on every other tax you can think of that casinos generate (income tax for employees, sales tax from dining, drinks and store purchases, etc…), and then they get tax from our $1,200 or better jackpots. It’s a win-win for the States and a lose-lose for casino patrons.
I know they’re working on this now! $5k minimum threshold would be great for everyone!
@@MrHandPay …this is the second time this tax threshold has been challenged, and We never get anywhere. Maybe We All need to write to our State Congressmen and start a petition. In the Past, they have just swept it under the rug. It’s time we do something.
State Gaming boards don't determine the tax threshold that's made by the IRS and as Mr. Handpay said they are trying to pass a $5k threshold now

Wow, that’s crazy I actually won for the first time I did a B2B cruise for my birthday and on my birthday week I went into the casino. Did the penny slots. Played three cents on each pull
