Yeah, I was one of the suckers that put 15 bond points early into the HP+SP perk because I thought it would help. It did not. Im just glad they kept the Musou format to a spinoff series. I would never be able to get into the main games if combat was like this all of the time.
I challenge myself to always do prisions in one go as a substitute to single day palace infiltrations. The game was definitely NOT designed to be played as it often becomes absolute hell after the second cage. It's great.
I thought the bond mechanic could have been abit more developed lik I do get it to streamline the game abit more but if they were gonna go with a more persona styled game than a dynasty warriors game it would have been nice That being said it’s still a very amazing game and I am glad with what they delivered and while royal was cool it’s been very nice to have a new persona experience (I just got the game lik a week ago lolz-

@@RozalinGaming Very sad. I was hoping at least at the end to enter like "god mode" where you can go whenever until you decide to do the final boss (kinda like what you do with KH for instance) But anyway, is Shibuya the ending location?
another tip for people who are dumb (like me) dont ram your head against dire shadows over and over till you beat them at level 7, its not worth it, you can come back later.
It must be something on your end. I've checked the volume of my own videos by listening to them on devices other than what I edit on and have had no issues.
when I first started the game, I had no idea days wouldn't be wasted by exiting the jail, so I straight up beat the first jail without exiting. later on, when the game allowed me to go back to the first Jail from the second area, then noticing the day hadn't advanced after coming back from it, I began to go in and out as you said here. (I ran out of SP a few times, so, what I did instead is to get put to sleep by a Silky while wearing a Null/Absorb Ice persona, just, wake up before it comes to slap you out of it.) maybe it's because I skipped Easy and went straight for Normal, but my allies always seemed to die too fast during the first jail, so, I got better at playing solo Joker. turns out, that was valuable training for a certain Bear and it's successors, since they will get rid of whatever ally you brought to help you *very fast.* speaking of, remember to always have a Null/Absorb for each affinity. those things will OHKO you even if you are overleveled for the jail they're in. the strategies I recommend the most against these things depend on your level of skill. If you don't think you're that good, use combos only, then SP targetting their weakness when you feel their next attack will be too difficult to dodge. If you think you can predict their every move, spam your best phys skills right before they throw an attack you're ready to absorb. 4:35 I understood that reference. also also, the fact that, say, Jack-o-Lantern always casts Agi and Hua Po always casts Agilao means there's a specific best Persona for each affinity. not spoiling any except for Sarasvati, who has Mediarama in her first skill combo
glad I watched this….getting my ass kicked in the first jail on hard mode. The FIRST jail….. Was saving for Futaba’s heal sp/hp after battle because I thought leaving the jail would punish you like in the last persona game. This really is different.
I started on Hard and then Halfway through the jail which btw is the badass part at the intro. Kinda cool that they did that, and I changed the difficulty there. Though I did change it earlier and apparently it didn't count. Maybe I reloaded a save without that.
It’s a noob mistake but should’ve known the HP/SP recover would be abysmal. Wish there was english texts because it was available so I could read the information.
It's not that I don't enjoy the game, but this game just feels hard for the sake of being hard. I cannot get past the first Jail because the minibosses are just so damn strong and those damn enemies putting you to sleep so the enemies get a free technical on you so they can practically one shot you... It's literally the beginning of the game, dev team! Ease the player into things a bit! On top of that, the game not having a proper tutorial to show you how everything works SUCKS. And no, text boxes just explaining how they work doesn't count. You get access to practically everything right out of the gate with barely any explanation on how they work and expecting them to master it immediately. It's like throwing someone into a warzone with every weapon known to man, but not telling them what to do or how the weapons work, basically just telling them good luck and then proceeding to curbstomp them over and over again simply because you refused to show them how they work. I want to like the game, I really do... But it's way too frustrating to play, even on Normal difficulty. There's a difference between fair challenge and cheap BS, this is cheap BS, ESPECIALLY at the start of the game.
This game may not be for you then. While I personally have a lot of complaints about P5S, difficulty, specifically it being too difficult, isn't one of them, nor is it a common complaint. If anything, the game is considered to be too easy. It's hard to offer specific advice, especially if you are struggling early on, but what I can do is link you my playthrough of the EN version of the game on Twitch so you can skip around and see how I tackled early game content. Link: www.twitch.tv/collections/74JOnjn6aBYrhw Hopefully that helps!
I pick up and play JP games before their western releases because I speak Japanese; I then make content about those games for release as soon as the game releases in the west. If I were to use the western version I would personally need to wait for a game to release and play through it then, or buy it twice for no reason. My content would also end up being delayed well beyond release making it irrelevant. That being said, the language of my game shouldn't matter at all since anytime that information is relevant, I translate it personally and/or discuss it in English.
Something worth noting about Joker's Square - Square - Triangle - Triangle combo is that it's actual effect depends on the Persona he actually has equipped. With Pixie it's a free Dia, but with something like Succubus it's a free casting of Marin Karin. So, in that regard, it's worth doing a bit of experimentation to see what you get from that combo with each of your Personas.
The thing about Joker's AI not swapping Personas I found out real quick because I'm good at dodging and will equip a persona that has a weakness a boss can exploit if it's worth it (Like a lot of enemies/bosses having a curse weakness because they're a bless enemy, but almost if not all of the "early" game (1-40 ISH) personas that have curse as their main attack are weak to bless. So I'll swap to someone and Joker will get absolutely rekt and I go "shit forgot to give him a persona that's not weak against the enemy x'D" It's usually funny more than frustrating
Great video, wish I’d watched it before I started the game, I made the mistake of spending 15 bond points to get HP/SP after every battle early on in the game, as you can imagine I was very disappointed and felt very ripped off! 😆
I'm honestly just fine with em. Lv 4 HP and Lv 3 SP and I didn't feel ripped off or anything. I mean I did have trouble with too little SP so that was ok. I kinda regret Oracle Recovery now. You should get Ambusher instead. That is much bigger since you wanna Ambush people a lot. Kinda sucks that there is no actual Stealth where you take out one enemy at a time but still cool.
There are so many games I don't care for spoilers but persona is not one of those. I love the store and actually don't skip it in this game (sometimes skip paste the stale texts)
asking for a bit of help here. i recently bought persona 5 strikers to first get into persona. i don’t have any money to purchase other persona games, and i’ve been told to learn persona 5 story first. is there any other persona game content i should know other than persona 5? (since i’m gonna watch a recap/essential info vid)
Can you make some fusion guides for the personas you have for risky mode? Like not just how to make the persona but how to maximize them via inheritance
ARPG Atlus games isn't a new thing though (Although it is new to Persona at the very least). Kuzunoha Raidou has the same flavor, the only downside of that game are small battle field area compared to Strikers and the controls are a bit clunky due to, well, it's a PS2 game. And damn, I didn't expect Strikers normal mode to be much much difficult than Raidou's normal mode (which is difficult for less hardcore SMT/Persona players). Playing Strikers on normal is like playing your usual SMT games rather than Hashino's Persona trilogy.
Because I speak Japanese and pick up games when they release in Japan. It doesn't matter though since I translate or put in voice everything that is important, with the gameplay primarily being just background footage.
Does anyone know if you can plug a PS4 controller into steam and get it to work with this game? The Keyboard and Mouse controls are atrocious, so it would be nice to be able to use a controller.
I should have a video coming out in the next day that shows how to max a Persona's stats. Doing that process alone will net you millions of PP; after that, you can just pull out a max stat Persona and then release it for millions more.
The fastest way I've found, is just fusing a strong persona, and then going into the upgrade menu in the velvet room, and selling it. Its basically ¥ for PP
Rozalin: DONT take Support Recovery! its a waste. Every other gaming-Website in existens: TAKE Support Recovery ,its very useful! Me who gave it a curius trial: with the Large amount of One-hit kill fights between minibosses and bosses its a nice way to recover sp so you dont have to do the annoying two loading screens when you get out/in dungeons. but its not necessary.
It's a complete waste of Bond points. At max level it only gives you 6 HP and 6 SP. It's literally the worst Bond skill there is and should be the very last one anyone takes.
@@RozalinGaming not really, the 6 sp might not seem like much but again, like Mermidion said, there’s tons of battles that last all of 3 seconds if you ambush them that basically become free hp and sp. if you switch out characters often I found that with it, it’s pretty easy to keep everyone’s sp high
@@rickw9291 Sorry but it's a complete waste of bonding points no matter how one tries to justify it; unless you're playing on easy, but then nothing matters since the there is no challenge.
It's on merciless difficulty. In P5S merciless is a NG+ only difficulty option that must be unlocked and is balanced around being near max level with fully optimized persona.
how’d you get lvl99? is that new game +? if i do new game plus will i lose all my bond points, levels, and personas? i’m staying away from the final boss battle so i can keep playing
@@RozalinGaming I feel like it's meant more for those long dungeon runs. Hell, I feel like it probably was originally percent based, but I guess they figured that would make HP and SP healing items worthless (and yet they aren't exactly easy to stock up on anyway)...
I think this might also have something to do with the order the skills are in when you look at the persona in the menu. Most of the skills that I have been able to combo with have been either the first or second skill in their list.
@@williamo5031 The actual abilities the Persona currently has don't matter for their combos since what they use via combos is preset. Example: I can remove Concentrate from Alice but she will still cast it via combo.
@@RozalinGaming ah, fair enough! That must have just been an unlucky test persona lol. I had one with the first two skills as attack up and sledgehammer, then mid-combo it would use attack up and sledgehammer lol.
Hm... I never played the other Persona titles so I don't know that much about the personas and items... But I found out that using the Omnipotent Orb and the Kali persona gives you Nullification of every damage type (except almighty I guess) Is that combination supposed to be that overpowered? I mean you can use it to get through Mercyless without problems... You just have to watch out for enemies that use almighty and dogde their attacks.
It's the Omnipotent Orb that's is doing it not the Persona. Omnipotent Orb is a recurring accessory you can get as a reward in Persona titles for doing whatever is considered the hardest content.
These are quite surface level, lemme add more: The most efficient way to earn Persona Points is through upgrading a low level persona with them to a high level and high stats, then going to the compendium and selling it and buying it over and over again. The conversion rate can go from 0.1 pp/1 yen and can go up to something like 8/1, which doesn't seem like a lot but it really adds up. This is key to min-maxing.
The actual best way to earn PP is to follow my max stats guide and in roughly 1 hour you'll have more PP than you could ever hope to spend, and the ability to make any Persona with 99 in all stats. The last time I did this method on stream I started with roughly 300k Yen and 300k PP, and by the end I had about 60 mil PP.
i got a question. i assume gun damage goes off strength but with the set of bond skills that buffs persona skills a) are attacks, like harus triangle, affected, since the persona helps there. b) is gun lumped in with physical or is that just ignored entirely
@@RozalinGaming Holy shit. That's still a lot of content. I've watched your videos before and I know you're experienced with Persona so to say it's 60 hours and then some on NG+ is WILD to me. I expected 20 hours. Maybe. Edit: I actually had to check and make sure you're the guy I was thinking of. Definitely are and your Royal and P5 guides really helped with my time management. Thanks a ton!
@@SkotKozB5 The game (as in getting through the story and whatnot) isn't actually all that long. But there are a decent amount of requests that require you to go back to previous Jails to kill mobs and whatnot. I would assume that the average player would see this game take them roughly 40ish hours. NG+ is great since you get the NG+ exclusive difficulty Risky, which is balanced around it actually being on NG+. So you get to start with everything you had at the end without it being a borefest.
If you're talking about after the Kyoto dungeon- someone has found a super useful workaround! You alt tab out of the game when the red warp out circles start appearing at the end of the cutscene, wait 20 seconds, tab back in,quickly tab out, tab back in a few seconds more - after four or five times doing this it will jump past the loading screen that goes black and take you out of the dungeon properly (basically the game is loading just like it does when the load screen appears when the warp animations happening and it prompts the game to skip the loading into black error if you let it pretty much load before the warp out vanishes). It's not the prettiest solution but 100% works! I ran into it yesterday but a helpful redditor came through, I'm sure the error will patch out in the future.
@@umbram8073 I tried that solution already and it didn't work. I did fix the issue though by going into the game's files and completely disabling everything labeled as a movie or cutscene.
Practice! You don't actually learn combos; simply obtaining a Persona and having it as your active one is enough. All combos for Persona are the same and consist of hitting square 1-3 times + triangle 1-2 times, with some performing different abilities when performed in the air.
The game has a system in it called Master Arts. Basically every character has combos and the Master Arts shows you what they do and how to perform them.
@@RenniganEagle The Master Arts aren't exactly combos, they are abilities that augment the character's combos/abilities. Some do extend combos creating new ones but they aren't combos in and of themselves.

Can't honestly say yes to this. They reference so very little from the original. I guess the worst is knowing who the playable cast is, even tho anyone with a brain would be able to tell who joins.
There are references to P5 this game will use. So far not anything too detailed but when those references happen, it’ll make more sense if you did follow P5.
I know the Omnipotent orb is one, but That won't be available until WAY Later, and even then, it's probably a NG+ Exclusive (I could be wrong on that though, since I'm just Starting my NG+ Run on Merciless, and am already regretting it.
Every persona has an icon like the ones shown for skills on the persona menu for joker. The one that is shown is the skill type it will use in a combo. Like jack frost has a bufu icon so if you do the square x3 to triangle it will use bufu. Healing is square x2 and triangle x2 iirc

I would never be able to get into the main games if combat was like this all of the time.
Goddammit, I’ve already bought two levels of HP and SP recovery
I challenge myself to always do prisions in one go as a substitute to single day palace infiltrations. The game was definitely NOT designed to be played as it often becomes absolute hell after the second cage. It's great.
Bro... The futaba skill was the one I bought first.
Goddammit.
Hi, Does the game mention the persona combos (tip 2) anywhere? In the menus or in the persona stats or is it just experimentation? Thanks in advanced!
Maybe in the tutorial section? I think it might
Read the tutorials, check all the tabs.
Yeah the combos are in tutorials section in the system menu.
I thought the bond mechanic could have been abit more developed lik I do get it to streamline the game abit more but if they were gonna go with a more persona styled game than a dynasty warriors game it would have been nice
That being said it’s still a very amazing game and I am glad with what they delivered and while royal was cool it’s been very nice to have a new persona experience (I just got the game lik a week ago lolz-
Another tip about the hacking battles with futaba is that you can heal her too. I didnt realize till the third jail that on PS4 if u press R1 after pressing a healing spell u can heal her
What I like about merciless mode is you can treat it as a new difficulty mode or just higher level enemies to grind to try min maxing alternate personas you never use lol.
So you're saying you CAN'T go back to previous cities not even after the end of the game? Or before the final boss?
The only way to go back to previous cities is to play the game over again from the beginning.
@@RozalinGaming Very sad. I was hoping at least at the end to enter like "god mode" where you can go whenever until you decide to do the final boss (kinda like what you do with KH for instance)
But anyway, is Shibuya the ending location?
@@nastaboikpopdance Ending location will be your RV with no city to access.
another tip for people who are dumb (like me)
dont ram your head against dire shadows over and over till you beat them at level 7, its not worth it, you can come back later.
Thanks for the heads up about the useless recovery bond. I would have worked toward lvling that up early if I hadn’t known!
Your voice is too low i couldn't hear you over the sound of the neighbor. 😆
(I ran out of SP a few times, so, what I did instead is to get put to sleep by a Silky while wearing a Null/Absorb Ice persona, just, wake up before it comes to slap you out of it.)
maybe it's because I skipped Easy and went straight for Normal, but my allies always seemed to die too fast during the first jail, so, I got better at playing solo Joker.
turns out, that was valuable training for a certain Bear and it's successors, since they will get rid of whatever ally you brought to help you *very fast.* speaking of, remember to always have a Null/Absorb for each affinity. those things will OHKO you even if you are overleveled for the jail they're in. the strategies I recommend the most against these things depend on your level of skill.
This game is a whole new experience as a P5 and P5R veteran but I quite enjoy it
It's not that I don't enjoy the game, but this game just feels hard for the sake of being hard.

Hopefully that helps!
This has ASMR vibes. 👍🏿
honest to god i'm just playing on easy i just wanna see whats the story about idgaf
i dont understand why are is your game language set to japanese but you're speaking english? very annoying to watch
100 dollars? lol (that's what it sounded like to me)
The band system reminds me of the skill system in Revenant from ashes !!!
damn, you kinda right
It's called bond in strikers though, interesting
Holy moly. This games runs 60FPS on PS4 and the switch runs 30FPS. Dang I should have gotten the PS4 version instead.
I really wish I saw this before I wasted those 15 BP. 😩
Just started the game, dang thing is gonna help a lot, thx man
Wait people can start it mines still on a countdown

Something worth noting about Joker's Square - Square - Triangle - Triangle combo is that it's actual effect depends on the Persona he actually has equipped. With Pixie it's a free Dia, but with something like Succubus it's a free casting of Marin Karin. So, in that regard, it's worth doing a bit of experimentation to see what you get from that combo with each of your Personas.
Yea like Alice is mamudoon and Thor was wild thunder
@@gamerfan5879 Isn't alice's square square triangle triangle, concentrate? and her Square square square triangle is mamudoon.
Is it worth playing this game?
My one tip is: if you are gonna go for platinum trophy then get Sarasvati. Her healing combo is OP
I don’t need TIPS I need to get the game!
If you downloaded the digital deluxe game you should be able to play it. I was able to play it all day yesterday.
Heard this game was short how’d you put 100 hours in
60 hours on my first playthrough to 100% the game then another 40 hours for NG+ on Merciless + playtime for content.
"Short" for Persona game is still like 2x longer than any regular games 😂
Welp its free so here i am 10 months late 👀
There are so many games I don't care for spoilers but persona is not one of those. I love the store and actually don't skip it in this game (sometimes skip paste the stale texts)
When you upgrade phantom striker does its damage also apply to when you do follow up attacks
asking for a bit of help here. i recently bought persona 5 strikers to first get into persona. i don’t have any money to purchase other persona games, and i’ve been told to learn persona 5 story first. is there any other persona game content i should know other than persona 5? (since i’m gonna watch a recap/essential info vid)
Nope, just Persona 5.
Can you make some fusion guides for the personas you have for risky mode? Like not just how to make the persona but how to maximize them via inheritance
I will be doing full guides showing the full fusion recipes for the Persona I used on Risky.
Playing Strikers on normal is like playing your usual SMT games rather than Hashino's Persona trilogy.
why would u play with japanese language ? bruh...
You can.
Almost every game on steam has controller support
I am using an Xbox one controller with it and it works perfectly, on screen buttons and all. Imagine that it will be the same for a PS4 controller
P5s combat was bad but satisfying never the less
i had the impression all characters were leveling up even if not in the active party. now i'll have to double check that.
What’s the fastest way to earn persona points? I need them to level up personas just to fuse them for a max compendium...
@@RenniganEagle This is the fastest way. With a max stat Persona you can easily net 1 million PP or more per Persona.
Wait how tf did you get them bicorn to be so strong. Ur lvl 99, they should die with one shot from a gun
I farmed post-game content. There is no reason to delay beating the final boss since more quests become available after you load your clear file.
I actually like the hp sp recovery after battle but id say getting it to lvl 2 is enough
If it was percentage based I would agree, but at 2 HP and SP per level it's essentially worthless.
@@RozalinGaming I feel like it's meant more for those long dungeon runs. Hell, I feel like it probably was originally percent based, but I guess they figured that would make HP and SP healing items worthless (and yet they aren't exactly easy to stock up on anyway)...
The skill is good made me save quite a lot of sp items
thanks for the tips bro
Why tf is the bond system called band in japanese version? As in, perks that affect your entire band or something?
"Getting the band back together."
What am I doing wrong, when I do square, square, triangle triangle pixies 🧚♀️ uses zio (PS4)
You are hitting square too quickly and accidently doing square- > square -> square -> triangle which sees Pixie cast Zio.
Is there any SP recovery accessories in this game?
I haven't seen any of that in my playthrough. Because of how the game is not JRPG, I don't think that type of item would be included.
Nope, but there’s a late game item that gives a chance of your skills costing nothing. The game says a rare chance but it’s more of a 70% chance lol
Makoto is arguably the best early game character 👀
So helpful!
Don't play this game with a keyboard. The keymapping layout is confusing af.
Facts. I had to manually change it to how I like it, I'm thinking of buying a controller for this game geez
I noticed that the passive members of the group gain some EXP, but much less than persona 5
@@RozalinGaming Ah, I misread the description of the Orb! Thanks!
band points? They're called bond points.
They are called Band in Japanese, as in "getting the band back together".
Band became BOND wtf
The last time I did this method on stream I started with roughly 300k Yen and 300k PP, and by the end I had about 60 mil PP.
i got a question. i assume gun damage goes off strength but with the set of bond skills that buffs persona skills
a) are attacks, like harus triangle, affected, since the persona helps there.
b) is gun lumped in with physical or is that just ignored entirely
Gun is still a separate damage like in P5. But only Joker regularly shoots with normal attacks, so most Gun type damage comes from Persona skills.
Is this 100 across multiple playthroughs? As much as I'm enjoying Strikers, it doesn't seem like it's going to be 100 hours like 5 and Royal.
I did everything possible in the game in 60 hours, and then did 40 hours of NG+ on Risky.
So you get to start with everything you had at the end without it being a borefest.
another tip is if on pc dont up date graphics drivers as after a later game boss it just black screens with no way out :(
This affected me so I'm stuck making content with the JP version.
🙃a bit of time travel when strikers was still scramble
band ? I thought it was bond points ?
It's called Band in the Japanese version (as in 'getting the band back together').
Too bad we aint getting this till next week :(

I mean have had 10 more dollars...soooo
wow they changed a _lot_
First hyrule warriors then this
Thank you man
How do we learn combos for personas?
Thank you for this video! How difficult for this to platinum?
Think of it as persona 5 royal. Pretty easy and simple
It's pretty easy to get. Just requires some grinding.
@@Fabio-ql5yf on my first playthrough, i only missed like 2 trophies without even trying to go to platinum. Which was to conquer the reaper and selling clothing in furugi
@@Fabio-ql5yf well i skipped few parts because i played the orginal one and knew the story already, so ill say a certain amount of 70 hours
Its easy enough. You just need to spend an insane amount of time grinding the final boss to get the platinum faster. PowerPyx has a good trophy guide as well as locations for things tied to missable trophies.
Waiting on your video on how to max out personas
Is the game good?
Hey I’ve been wondering for awhile but how do you get 999 hp and sp? I’ve seen footage of many at max level but not max hp and sp while others do at level 99
Play on NG+ and farm incense items from Sophia's shop (and enemies if on Risky).
Will i get spoiled if i play this before playing p5?
Can't honestly say yes to this. They reference so very little from the original. I guess the worst is knowing who the playable cast is, even tho anyone with a brain would be able to tell who joins.
There are references to P5 this game will use. So far not anything too detailed but when those references happen, it’ll make more sense if you did follow P5.
What’s the best accessory to use in the game?
I know the Omnipotent orb is one, but That won't be available until WAY Later, and even then, it's probably a NG+ Exclusive (I could be wrong on that though, since I'm just Starting my NG+ Run on Merciless, and am already regretting it.
are there any other persons that heal with a combo or is it just pixie
There are; I mentioned Principality in the video as one extra example but there are more.
Every persona has an icon like the ones shown for skills on the persona menu for joker. The one that is shown is the skill type it will use in a combo. Like jack frost has a bufu icon so if you do the square x3 to triangle it will use bufu. Healing is square x2 and triangle x2 iirc
