The heater in a Dauphine was normally pretty good if the ducts were clear assuming the core and blower motor were up to snuff. My aunt had a 66 automatic and often gave me a ride to school along with her sons and it was pretty toasty in the winter. The car did well in the snow.
I had a friend when I was in 3rd grade back in 1963. His older sister got her first car. It was a red Dauphine. I remember riding in it and seeing that single turn signal indicator above the speedometer. Yours looks good with the blue wheels.
The early 1960s VWs had a single turn signal light in the speedometer assembly like that, too. Pretty interesting how all the Euro cars shared some similarities back then.
You need some door panels inside the Dauphine. If you know any upholstery folks see if they have any auto/marine vinyl and use that. Get some thin padding as underlayment too. Cut out some panels on 1/8" hardboard, wrap the padding then the vinyl over it (you can get both layers to hold in place with Elmers glue spread with a paint brush), cut holes for the door and window handles, then screw them on in a few locations. A red vinyl matching the seats would look good, as would a blue (bleu?) as an ode to the French tricolor flag. 👍

Still Better than a VW bug for heat

Thanks for the drive! Stay warm.
$2.55 per gallon here in Tennessee
Wow😳
Portland 'premium' prices for gasoline are the same as at the discount station near me in Southern California; $3.89/gallon for regular unleaded.
I loved my Duaphine, which as a poor apprentice was cheap to run on a daily basis.
Are you ever going to replace the Dauphine’s bumpers?
Woohoo, I'm like number 34 today! Long live the Pontiac Turbo Firefly!
This morning as I headed out to work the temperature was 4, but the wind chill was -7
Just wondering how difficult would it be to fix the heater and wipers, as that especially seems like a real safety issue? Drive safely!
That looks like a Gordini sports kit on there
That looks like an aftermarket turn signal switch. The original broke?
Virtually impossible to replace...Thats a universal indicator mehanism
Hecklers,,, what do you do?
They have nutria there?
Yes. They're non-native, and considered as invasive.
@@shaggydayshorseshow9567 Yes I know about nutria, I just didn't know they had them in that part of the country.
