Like I always say.....I love watchin ya'll fly any plane and give your honest opinion. Hopefully getting back into flying after a 50 year hiatus. Thank you for being real!
That is too bad. Can you guys buy Eflite, Spektrum & horizon hobby there? I've seen some nice looking club fields you guys have there. I'm USA.... I've never been but always wanted to visit UK
The eratix ff flyes really good but the best part is the build. 20 minutes and your flying. I fly mine with the ar 410 and even indoor it performs good. Little heavy for that but does it 😊👍
Wow, the F4U-4 Corsair and Eratix 3D FF look amazing in action! 🚀✈ @thercsaylors, your commentary in this video was incredibly real and intriguing, especially in highlighting how different these planes are to fly yet equally enjoyable in their own ways. You can learn so much about flight dynamics while having a blast! I've been considering getting into the hobby for a while, and every video you guys make pushes me closer to taking the plunge. Great flight skills! 💯
You should try it brother man, you'll be addicted. It's awesome fun! Don't start with either of those planes though. Grab a high wing cub with Safe mode and you'll start off successfully! I teach guys fairly often and have a carbon cub from HH and most guys pick it up first day. We use a buddy box for the first day or two and after that they got it. Safe mode helps a lot!
@@HciContractor What about the aero scoute that was the first video of theres i watched. what about starting with that one and canyou get floats for that..I wonder
@@blueboycoms the aeroscout is cheaper and it's awesome but.... they are pretty delicate. The nose wheel gets messed up really too easy and you can fix it with hot glue once or twice and then it's buy another fuselage time. I like my aeroscouts. I've got a couple of crashed ones here! lol The carbon cub I couldn't kill it. It's crazy tough. I taught myself to fly with the cub, crashed many times and sold it to a friend and he learned to fly on it.... now 1-1/2 years later he still has the cub and fly's it sometimes... his favorite right now is the aeroscout! lol go figure
Oh 100%!! This one is for you brother! One of the most fun things to fly. Very different from any planes you’ve ever flown, but in SAFE super tame and easy. 👍💯😎⚓️
The Arrows Corsair is an awesome plane! Love ours for sure, but the big difference here with the Eflite version is that it does come with a RX, bound (if you fly Spectrum) which for some people is a deal breaker. Best Hobby Ever 👍💯😎⚓️
Arrows has some nice planes but I like Eflites stuff a little better.. I have the Trekker and it flies great. It could use a new wing lol but it still flies good as new and looks fine in the air where you can’t see all the packing tape holding the wing together 😂🤣
Curious as to why RCs are so expensive in Australia and other countries, is it the shipping cost or what, seems so far outta wack I'd never be able to own the amount of RCs I do. It seems outrageous.
@RCPoor it seems to be some brands are overly expensive for some reason. E-flite and Flex innovations are 2 of the most expensive here. Like the new E-flite Extra 330, a small foamy for $800. I could get a similar Arrows Edge 540 for around $470, or I could build a Precision aerobatics XR52 ($470) for the same price as the E-flite plane.
Thanks for the invitation! We’d love to spread the fun of RC flying as much as possible! The dream would be to have the greatest flying group of friends the fly together and help how we could if anyone needed it! Really appreciate that! 🙏👍😎💯⚓️
the eratix is a great plane for the price, i fly 7000$ gaint scale 3d planes but the eratix will preform almost just as good as them and with the reverse thrust (and using a pusher prop) it is crazy capable reverse hovering and so much more
Oh man I need to see that.... so you run a reverse prop going forward for normal flying and then hit reverse thrust... nose pointed down and reverse hover? I've got to try this. My eratix is beat up anyways, I was gonna strip it for parts. This sounds more fun
10:12 this is why I’m afraid to get into the airplanes. It started with RC cars trucks buggies and I’ve got about $14,000 wrapped up in like 12 different cars and that’s without batteries and now I’m playing with the drones. Thanks to you I’m loving the HS 360 E obviously there’s better, but I am genuinely happily satisfied with the way it operates. I will probably stay on the cheap side with Holy stone until I hone my skills because I would like to step up to something with more speed not necessarily because I want to fly in high wind conditions, but because I would like to do action shots at speed I love the chase scene vids. that 3-D flat plane is pretty damn nimble. Too bad it’s not a 4d flyer
You rock looney!! Haha, what would a 4D plane even do! Have smells!?!? 😂😅 I’m glad you like the HS drone! You might consider a DJI FPV or Avata as your next drone for those fast chase/ action shots, but they are super expensive. I’d like an Avata myself, but every time I set money aside for it something comes up that takes that money away, lol. Maybe one day! 👍😁⚓️
I disagree with the easiest to land and fly with the Corsair I think it’s the t28 because of the tricycle landing gear and not the tail dragger and it prolly one of the best 2nd rc planes a more newer person in the hobby should get.
Good question! I worked really hard on finding a way to transport that giant airplane. I bought a trailer hitch for our car and got it installed. I even tried renting a Uhaul because I couldn’t find a covered trailer cheap enough. But the wiring for the lights was such a challenge even a local mechanic struggled to get it hooked up right. So after a year of trying and it taking up our only parking space in the garage, we finally decided to sell it. The good news is a Super Fan bought it and LOVES it so much he bought a second one he found on eBay as a backup. 🙏❤️👍😎⚓️
Is your EFlight Corsair worth the extra $60 over the Arrows Corsair? Or would it be more bang for the buck to get the Arrows P-51, if the Corsairs don't typically fly as well? Thanks!
Well, compare that to an RC truck or car where you basically can't use hot glue to fix any of those.... At least flying has such less amounts of vibration and friction which allows flying things to be hot glued back together. You put a part on a truck with hot glue and it'll last 2 minutes tops. And hot glue is cheap !
Sorry, but even on sale you can still build a flat foam airplane in one evening for WAY less money than what you can buy the Eratix for...or at least I can. Foam $2, Rx $6, (3) Servos $9, ESC $10, Motor $8, Propeller $1, Carbon Fiber Rod and other bits and baubles $10...Grand Total $46!!! I've sold over 60 of them at the local sports domes ($40 for the airplane with control horns and pushrods already installed and $100 for complete airplane minus the receiver).
@@M4rkmcc21 I didn't just build one myself, I've built over a 70 of them because they're so easy to build. As a matter of fact, if I wanted to I could easily make a 3-view of the Eratix from all the photos of it and make one exactly like it if I wanted. But I have other designs that fly just as good or better. And it's just ridiculous comparing a house to a simple flat foam airplane that only takes a few hours to build.
@@markderyckere9725I'd be down to trying one of yours. I fly some twisted hobbies flattys and shoot man they're getting to be $250 and you still gotta build them. Crack Yak is my favorite
@@HciContractor Sorry, I don't sell airplanes anymore, and even if I did it would only be locally. I'm not interested in trying to package them up and shipping them. It would probably cost more to ship them than the airplane is worth anyway lol. If you've built Twisted Hobbies airplanes before it's actually easier and far cheaper to make an airplane out of fan-fold foam from Home Depot, Lowe's or even the Readi-Board foam from the dollar store. Just trace the parts from your Twisted Hobbies airplane onto the foam or download plans from a number of sources online such as Aerofred. As for Twisted Hobbies airplanes, the Crack Yak is one of my favorites too, as well as their Crack Dr1. As a matter of fact I'm currently working on a couple of my own designs based on theirs. But so far haven't gotten past the design stage because I've never worked with EPP foam before and am hesitant to start lol.
