I like her American accent and her swift changing between languages! And she´s soooo pretty! Of course her clothing is very 80ies! When I was a teen I had a poster of Desiree hanging in my room.
que de souvenirs, l'eurovision 84. Notre cousine Désirée l'a très bien présentée dans plusieurs langues, sans stress. Oui, le temps passe, mais la beauté reste.Bisous
She was already living in America at the time, which explains her accent. And loose, hanging dress-jackets seemed popular at that time (see also the singers for Spain and Switzerland - though I get your point about the tights). Yes, this hall looks very small - much smaller than the theatre in Munich the year before.
Actually, Dèsirèe Nosbusch most one of the most "normal" (And youngest) presenters in eurovision, she looks very much like a higH school student! But she looks like a very good one as well :) And, the hiding of tthe orchestra was truly genial! I could never have thought that it was squeezed down there :P
Mangoteppe: About the "genial hiding of the orchestra". That's pretty much the normal placement of the orchestra in most concert halls. In the early, pre-mastodont-stadium-era, days of ESC this was seen quite often, like in 1968, 1969 or 1979.
If I were in the orchestra, I wouldn't be as pleased myself - after all, everybody else gets on film, so why not them? This has usually been employed as an aesthetic solution (such as in '94 and '97), but usually I like to see the orchestra myself.
Is this from the copy without commentary? I really would love to see it without commentary. ESC Stuff published this but it was blocked in every country. How did you get the copy?
DVD from a fan site. Sadly I think that site's discontinued now. However, 1984 wasn't the best DVD - there's an annoying echo in the audio that I'm sure you can hear.
Argh she is so irritating! But at least she does with style what most presenters are trying to do these days with varying degrees of ineptness. And you can't fault her multilingualism there. About four languages is it there?? Good for her. "Heartest"... ouch.
...und jetzt seht Euch mal die 19jährigen an, die heute so im TV rumspringen 😂🤣🤣... And now check out the 19 y.o. running around in TV shows nowadays .... WORLDS COLLIDE 🤣🤣
Très content de revoir Désirée ce soir pour le grand retour du Luxembourg à l’Eurovision.Félicitations depuis la France ❤
one of the best presenters of the ESC. she really handled herself well, and did a great job of hosting the festival.
Agreed, I mean you can tell she's nervous but she did a great job and the way she seamlessly switches languages is incredible.
i adore her...she is so funny and down to earth and she looks stunning today...
She is one of the most beautiful ladies I have ever seen 💕

I wish I did, was there ever a Der Fan bonus, interviews about the movie you might know of with Desiree?
Ich liebe Desiree- tolle begabte Moderation
I love her American accent "...f-i-ve h-und-red mi-ll-ion people watching us...". Such a sweet and fresh 80's girl!
Unglaublich wie diese Frau durch die unterschiedlichsten Sprachen durchschaltet, als das wäre das selbstverständlichste der Welt.
Well, if you know a few Luxembourgish people, it really is perfectly normal for them ;)
@@TimmmTim I know some people from Luxemburg, and I like them an I like Luxemburg! ;-)
A truly amazing talent and beauty

Que de souvenirs avec Désirée pour le Lorrain que je suis.

I will always consider this the best stage ever for Eurovision.
And its small. Size doesn’t matter

Grandios!!!
great!!!
But they was easy to see, this could almost not be seen at all, that's why I liked it! :)

Polar opposite of Marlene Charell (in translation skills)
Probably one of the smallest stages in ESC history
