No it's called covering your tracks especially if you really don't want your true identity revealed. There are plenty of wealthy people in the world that people never knew they are rich. Everyone does not flaunt their wealth some live normal lives. An elderly rich woman said one of the reasons that old money last through the generations is because it's invested and not wasted on nonsense.
