- In this video I begin making an outworld for my Camponotus Pennsylvanicus
colony because their current outworld had... an "Accident!"
I FAILED TO MENTION YOU WILL NEED STEEL MESH TO COVER THE VENT HOLES! I WILL COVER THAT IN PART 2!

Nice video. I agree with the stepped bit for drilling acrylics but I have found if you want a large hole it is better to use a hole saw. After you have drilled the pilot hole, put the drill in reverse and you get a nice clean hole from the hole saw.
Lol. I'd like to order some chili cheese pepper with a side of rice. Also, nice outworld! I use those same Hobby Lobby outworlds for mine.
They make great outworlds!

It’s worth it to DIY! My hobby lobby also had the plaster of Paris so keep an eye for it if you’re trying to get everything at once!
I have the plaster already but haven’t been able to find a decent container. Was that a sand you sprinkled in? Was thinking vermiculite was used in the ones from a famous Carolina shop
@aaronrollins7184 I was wanting to use vermiculite but didn’t have any so I used very tiny pebbles lol.

Bro, I have been having the same issue, I do at home Brewing as well and totally didnt even think of the pressure build up due to the fermentation. Also, i am using Cement on my nests and plaster on the outworlds. I put a vent hole in the side and on the lid as wel, better for cross draft. also if you have a soldering iron with a flat attachment for wood burning to attach the steel mesh so that other bugs dont get in through any vent holes. Also, where did you get the out world from?!?! i love it!

I got all of my outworlds from hobby lobby! They’re model car displays 😆
