Probably more budget friendly though! I’ve got one of those wallet buster videos in the works, so we’ll be talking about some heavier hitters before too long!
I was at a local con, and I struck a conversation with a collector of 30 years, he said get starslayer 1, he even picked a mint copy for me. Super cool to see the book jump! The comic community is great with new collectors like myself! Awesome vid btw!!!
Nothing better than getting a list of comics to hunt down for under $50!! With every store adding some kind of "COVID bump" to their sales, its nice to know that there are still some things that are affordable. Thanks Drew!
I was there in real time with Warren Ellis's Moon Knight subbed in my pull box. Didnt get a 1st print cover a of that #1 and it's value just makes me more mad at the LCS I no longer have a box with.
Great video, Drew! Congrats on getting your copy of Starslayer 2! I can attest to the low value of Moon Knight not so long ago, I bought my WWBN 32 for $35 back in late 2013 or early 2014, and it graded a 7.5! So happy I bought it when I did!
We’ve done pretty well with most all of the lists. That’s the goal anyway. I’m sure we’ll miss the mark sooner or later. The market is a wild place right now.
Luckily I started on Wolverine vol. 1 when I got into the hobby 8 years ago. I believe I have around 75% of it collected. I've tried to do it the old fashioned way and hunt in brick and morter stores. I have most of the big boy books, but within the last 3+ years I'm not finding Wolverine in bargain bins anymore. I'm still missing #4, #8, #10, and #17 as far as big boy books go and fomo is beginning to mount haha.
Happy hunting John! No hunting for me for a couple of weeks, BUT one of my favorite shows of the year is 2 weeks away, so I’m cool with keeping my powder dry for that.
Got that moon knight 1 in the second print this week for 40 I think that was a good price it needs a clean and press tho it's not perfect but it could be worth a few hundred next year
What do people think of star wars: the force awakens #1 as an investment? I know the movies aren't popular with everybody but it's the first appearance of characters that seem pretty significant and the comic is still cheap. I'd imagine we haven't seen the last of kylo ren or rey in netflix or wherever
Personally, if I wanted to invest in a Star Wars book, I would be looking for a 35¢ #1 or another top tier issue from the original Marvel line, but that’s just me.
Great list, definitely not the books most people are talking but so has me more intrigued

@@CoMoComicBooks Sounds good, looking forward to it

Thanks for watching Cayla! I’ve met some awesome people through the hobby. The variety of people that comics can bring together is amazing.

Don’t mention it! 2021 has been tough on the pocket book, as so many books have just blown through the $50 price range.
This video ended up being the catalyst to me acquiring the 8 Dave Stevens written Rocketeer appearances! Thanks!
Nice Dave! I went on something of a Rocketeer quest myself! Congrats on the new additions!

Great video! All of the last top ten videos books have climbed so I expect these to as well. Keep them coming

Thanks Drew that Batman # 6 is a great book. I have a couple but am looking for a newsstand edition.
100%! I thought Snyder/Capullo’s Batman was the best New52 series out of the gate. It was a good read.
I always enjoy your videos. Very informative and you know your comic book history.
Thanks for watching Michael! I’m glad that you’re enjoying he videos!
I've been getting a lot of my 1988 Wolverine series graded & slabbed, definitely hadn't considered #88... Need to track that one down!
It’s not as sexy of a cover as 154 or 155, but personally, I’d take Kubert over Liefeld.

Hang in there! Best wishes on that last 25%!
I watch a lot of comic youtubers, and they all bring something valuable. For straight book picks - you’re the best!

Thanks Drew, I only have four of these….going hunting tomorrow.

@@CoMoComicBooks I hit a small show in Providence today, saw Roy Thomas and met Three Men In A Basement…but came home empty handed.
@@johnbigdaddyross2158 Prices crazy high?
@@CoMoComicBooks , no…I have purchased a couple collections lately…time to show some restraint.
@@johnbigdaddyross2158 I know I’ve been there before. Congrats on the collections though!

Hey Barry! Thanks for the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Great video……especially with books spiking every second of the day….😂😂😂
The market is crazy right now. Trying to stay on top of everything is like herding cats.
