I just saw this, a number of years later. Too bad it ended so short. It was very interesting to see the view from the truck, hear the engine and see Kentucky. I'm from Kentucky as well.
@@85daytonaracer hey , so sorry I did not know you responded to me. I didn't get a notification. I was showing this videos to my friends in other countries. Saying this is what it looks like in Eastern Kentucky when a trucker is hauling coal. They really enjoy it! Thank you so much for your response :) I would love to see more. are you still driving ?
I am a owner/operator I drive my own truck, coal hauling is extremely slow around our area right now I have several friends that are out of work due to the coal market it's not a good time for coal trucking right now!
That's why they use those CB radios boys; so they know who's a coming and who's a going! ↩↪ What the heck children? There are no emojis for a coal miner, an 18 wheeler, a coal mine, a tandem truck or anything of the sort! Somebody's slipping! 🚛? Anyway Boys, keep her between the ditches! 🙏😎✌🇺🇸 Thanks for posting!
Forrel Mispaace I was always told when visiting KY to stay out of their way. They will run you over as they do take up most of the road. Never had an encounter but always mindful of the coal trucks.
Where is Ford Mt? I hauled out of Hazard and Whitesburg a lot. Buckhorn Ky had one we called the corkscrew because there were 4 switchbacks like the one in the video. Good job driving bud you did everything right!
I heard that ten to twenty thousand coal mining jobs will be created by the end of the year by Trump. maybe forty thousand in West Virginia. Trump will keep his word and have you keep on working.
Coal mining is now automation . No need for people. Soon trucks will be autonomous also. The future is solar and wind . Hopefully they will stop destroying mountains for coal. And family farming will come back as people want real food because fake food causes disease .get back to the land .
coal mining requires proper legally acquired coal, good financing and a series of other things to include good markets. Good luck on that worked around the coal industry for 30 years. yet to see a political entity provide that!
Great sights and sounds. I just posted a video entitled "Coal Mining in Appalachia" Give it a look if you want to. Also "Kentuckys Back Roads. Both filmed near Hazard Kentucky.
Tracy Potter I worked at a Pete dealership wrenching on them for many years. Used to Be that almost every new 379 on the lot was CAT power. Was like peanut butter and jelly perfect match lol. Then the emission motors hit.CAT soon got out of on Highway engines. Its a shame what the EPA has done to Todays engines. But the 379 always was my favorite of the bunch.
I LIVE IN EASTERN KENTUCKY ! ITS WONDERFUL ! THE PEOPLE ARE WONDERFUL! IT IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE WORLD !! I LOVE THE PEOPLE AND THE MOUNTAINS !!!

Forrel Mispaace some of those mountain roads are small
That's why he announced on the CB He was coming off the top. So others could wait or get to a wide spot. To let the loaded truck pass.
Where is Ford Mt?
