- We took on this Englewood Project Recently. It's a house that needed to be furnished and decorated for a client. We had to do it really quickly and cost effectively. I travel with my grown daughter & son-in-law and their two teens. That pool house would be my spot if we vacationed there--together but still some separate space. We are talking about moving in together at some point, and dreamig of Florida. This home would also be perfect home for us because I would have the pool house as my space. ❤ Everything is looking so lovely!

I use Goo Gone (buy it at Dollar Tree) to take stickiness left from tags. I've also used nail polish remover, but don't like the smell... Y'all are so busy right now - and doing a great job on the house. I have a friend with a pool house that has turned into a MIL house - works perfectly. I enjoy seeing all of your "hacks" like having prints done at Walgreen, shopping thrift and IKEA and sometimes just painting a wall or changing bed linens. You always give me something new to think about! See you next week with the completed house tour..

Good gone...wm...is great for removing the price tags off of items. Also, I have seen others using really hot water to remove the tags...

Eucalyptus oil removes residue of stickers ❤
FYI - WD40 takes off all tape and sticker residue. Spray a little on a paper towel and start wiping. Then just use a soapy paper towel to wash off the WD40 or wash normally (depending on item)
Isopropyl alcohol also works a treat on sticker residue.
Or goo-gone. Always my go to.
I have had great success getting anything gooey or sticker residue off very effectively with lemon or orange essential oils! Always my go to!
They use finger nail polish remover in stores!

The pool house would be a great game room. Many of the houses we rent have a ping pong table or air hockey with a kitchenette. It's always a nice touch for families on a rainy vacation day.

Quick tip: any citrus essential oil will get residue from stickers off so easily and for cloudy dishes a soak in vinegar works great! Hope this helps.
Everything so far looks so nice. You guys work so hard. The boys sure are growing, nice to see them helping you and learning the value of working hard and making their own money! Can’t wait to see the final results.

😀 thanks. it’s the kind of videos I like the best. Usually. But unfortunately they don’t do as well on here. Which doesn’t matter that much. But if you put a lot of work into editing and filming - and they don’t perform well it’s a bit discouraging. However I have just kept putting them out when I have that type of content because I hate being put in a ‘niche’. 😛 a bit of a rebel maybe in the sense of not doing what RUclips wants. lol.

I love watching the styling and decorating process, I would be interested in renting the house for a family vacation, if they are doing a short term vacation rental.
They will be renting at a month minimum I believe.
The dishwasher is the cause of cloudy looking glasses, etc. You've done a great job redecorating!

This is off the subject of decorating but I know that most Mennonites do not wear jewelry as in wedding rings but I noticed you do. Is that left up to the individual person/choice or is it up to the specific church you attend. Just curious.
@@dianefoster4472Most conservative mennonite churches don’t allow jewelry of any kind. The more liberal ones allow it but I doubt they require it. Usually, it’s just bracelets and wedding rings that are allowed, not earrings or necklaces.

I find not using the heated dry cycle on the dishwasher helps not to etch things which a lot of times causes the cloudiness.
It is awesome to see you mix old or thrifted items with new. I decorated my first apartment with garage sale finds, new sale items I bought on layaway and some new furniture that was discontinued. I made a collage wall out of mirrors I collected from garage sales and I painted all the frames to match. I also bought some unfinished furniture from a local mom and pop store and added my own finishes to them. I bought a lot of accessories after holidays or seasonal sales. I furnished my two bedroom apartment inside and outside ( there was a private patio area) on less than $10,000. That might sound like a lot but that included all bedding for two rooms, bath and kitchen linens, everything in the kitchen from pots and pans to salt and pepper shakers, all dining tabletop items and rugs and lamps. It took me two years to get everything I needed but the day I moved in (the day my furniture arrived) the place looked amazing. I took advantage of renting a small storage unit to store the things I collected along the way. If you want to move out on your own or if you are furnishing a vacation home, you can do it on a low budget. My biggest expenses were two bedroom sets, living room furniture including a TV and dining furniture.
