This is so far the best and intuitive tutorial for learning regular expression, which I need constantly refresh my knowledge ... Colt is best teacher!!! thank you!!!
I actually use regex in real work a lot and so I don't need this in the slightest, but I liked your video because I always recommend your stuff to people asking where to start. Regex seems like a topic that's not covered as well as others, so hoping you did a good job in this video!
I am really impressed by the quality of the videos and the notion documents you provide. It's so useful after watching the video. I usually copy the documents you provide and paste it in my Notion workspace for a follow up read. Thanks for the awesome content !!
Thanks Colt I love you and your work, your care and your precision, you are extraordinary professional, I follow all your courses and I never imagined being able to program without you, please never stop doing what you do!
I don't know if you're reffering to the react course. If that's the case, I don't know. But if you're reffering to his web development bootcamp on udemy you don't need any javascript knowledge and it's a goddamned good course.
Minor quibble: this is incorrect: "This RegEx will match any digit which is immediately followed by either a 1,2,3,7, or 9. Effectively, it looks for 2 digit odd numbers." --> think that should be 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Hey Colt, good to see you active again on RUclips. I know you're a busy person but please try do post frequently on RUclips. Also, can you give us any update on what's your next course going to be and when can we expect it ? Thanks.
As Mattia said Colt already created a Udemy course which is brilliant and covers Node.js along with a LOT more (www.udemy.com/the-web-developer-bootcamp/)
You deserve more views than this. I have known your work for a long time now. Look for more complex projects like data that requires grep, regex, sed and awk.
Regarding The course Advanced Web Developer Bootcamp Hello Sir, As the cloud9 is closed , I'm not able to see your code of Advanced Web Developer Bootcamp on cloud9, So can you tell me how I access to code of yours. Please share the details of the links of code. Thanks Sir Student Of Advanced Web Developer Bootcamp
Colt how would you plug webpack in to a large express app with multiple views? Is it actually possible? I've tried even a professional course but can't make it work!
avinmacha this is a great question! Regular expressions always “consume” any existing matches which means overlapping matches will be ignored. In your case, the first 99 is a match and those two characters are consumed. Then the remaining 9 is not a match on its own. There are ways of achieving what you are describing but it requires a bit more work. Check out this stack overflow post: stackoverflow.com/questions/20833295/how-can-i-match-overlapping-strings-with-regex/47184193
Hey Eazy-E M2C, are you referring to the video thumbnail/the two slides I show at the start of the video? I make those myself using a website called canva. I'm glad you like them! I'm never sure if they look good or not, since I'm no designer.
Great tutorial as always Colt! But why didn't you include this in your JS course in Udemy. You didn't prepare me for C0D3 WARZ!!! jk your course is great can't include everything.
Sir i am a student and I want to build my career in web development and i want to enroll for your web development course ! So are there any discount coupons ? If yess please help me
hello, sir, I was going through your Bootcamp Course of Web Development, yesterday I've started the backend but Cloud 9 is shut down so what should I do now???? Plzzzz help me Sir🙏🙏
You should subscribe to Colt’s teaching assistant’s RUclips channel, Ian Schoonover. He offers an alternate method replacing Cloud 9. While I recommend going local, there are other cloud methods that Ian suggests.

Colt Please make a video on who to go through React Documentation effectively, so that we can dig deep into the library..
That is awesome. Thank you a lot for the tutorial and the useful handouts
Thanks, Colt! BTW I'd love if you could upgrade your SQL course to add Sequelize/ORM!
Colt, your such a legend! Amazing content for free!
Hey Colt, how much JavaScript do i need to know before diving into your react course? Just bought it.

Thank you so much, really appreciated the little exercises
Great info!!Thanks Colt
You the Champ!
Thanks for that Colt! I mean... I still can't write any decent Regex but at least I understand it better and can implement it.
Colt you should create a NodeJS bootcamp course!
Have you taken the web developer bootcamp? It's very complete!
As Mattia said Colt already created a Udemy course which is brilliant and covers Node.js along with a LOT more (www.udemy.com/the-web-developer-bootcamp/)
The web developer bootcamp has that
@@nakulshyamkumar9122 I know that Colt's web bootcamp has a NodeJS section but what I'm asking is a Complete NodeJS Bootcamp, which is very necessary
Thanks. That was very usefull

\d[13579] gives only one match for the string 999. Shouldn't it give 2 matches(one for the first two and the other for the last two). Anyone ?

@@ColtSteeleCode Many thanks Colt !!
Me: Googles "Regular Expression tutorial"*
Me: *groan*
Me: Googles "Regular Expression tutorial + Colt Steele"*
Me: "Oh thank God..."
Nobody explains anything as good as Colt explains it...
Hey colt,
please give all ur lectures for free which are there on udemy and in all platforms, upload all of them in to youtube
GRAPHQL vs REST
I think just adding ^ at the front and $ at the back, the problem you showed gets solved: ^([01]?\d|2[0-3]):([0-5]\d)(?::([0-5]\d))?$
What artist do you use for your videos? Can you give me their contact info?
