For anyone wondering, this place is still really fun to explore. The EPA gave up on their attempt to clean the place and it's got a ton of really cool features. When my friends and I toured it a couple months ago, we found an entire skating bowl that some group of kids had probably made sometime in the early 2000's or nineties. From our experience, the place is relatively safe to visit so long as you're careful - wear a hazardous materials mask, avoid some areas of the roof. 10/10. Edit - the plywood on the front door seems to have been knocked down some time ago, you can literally walk right in through the front without issue.
Yes, I know the friend of the people who made it. It had come up in conversation at a church congregation, my first visit I totally missed it but came across it the 2nd time… I’ve brought many people in to tour & they all love the aesthetic of it inside. But if I might ask, how do you know that they’ve given up?… I was under the impression that it was post-poned due to COVID.
@@zachparker1468 I think the EPA stopped pumping off the VOCs in 2012. But they are supposed to be restarting work on it sometime soon along with the town. Since the wetlands behind the building drain out past Middle Road out to the Merrimack River and there were reports in the past long ago of animals on the farm being contaminated the entire wetland probably still has some leftover VOCs or heavy metal contamination. Surprising that they are only getting around to this testing now 30+ years after the owners left town. However I know for sure the beavers, snapping turtles, deer, and array of water birds are doing well in the streams and wetlands. And like YUUPERS said it is mostly safe as long as you are careful.

Well, looks like the AC units on the roof have been scrapped out, the copper coils are all gone!!!🤔😄
I’m a photographer & have pictures of the interior. If anyone would like them feel free to request an email!
Too bad a google search on the former owners wasn't as good as your video. I guess the EPA doesn't have google yet.
