I love that you added the smaller battery and I would immediately get that model with smaller battery, but then I found out the battery won't be waterproofed like the other batterys. Is there any chance you could do the same kind of waterproofing with this smaller battery? I know it adds like 200 grams, but it would be worth it imo. I'm from Germany and it always rains over here. Having a bit more protection from water damage is an amazing seeling point.
Been using the Tynee Mini 2 from last year for a year now... 2,000 kilometers and still going strong. I got the bigger battery option and I'm telling you, it was worth every single dollar. Having ~30km range with the 105mm cloudwheels while riding at ~25kph is priceless (75kg rider). Fun fact: a car drove over the board, with both the rear and the front wheel, and the board is intact... That thing is built like a tank. One thing is for sure: Tynee all the way for me from now on.
Its impossible right now. They will have to invent a lighter battery. Your best option is the exway x1 max its the lightest possible performance longboard because the electronics are inside the board. Super light compared to most other e boards
I thank you for talking about this. I just got a mini 2 about 2 months ago and have been riding it a lot. And I saw this and really wanted to know the differences in video form
I think the idea behind the belt cover when the wheels selected are hydro may indicate that the cover is intended to add splash water resistance. But if sand can get in and stay in, I would think it could promote wear if not cleaned out regularly.
Longer range is very valuable as for me. I live in area with hills and I mostly use my board just to have fun ride, not just commuting from A to B. My board is Exway Wave (Riot), I always have spare battery in my backpack, which gives me 28-36 km total, depending on riding style and conditions, but you know what? I need mooooore :) so i'm gonna buy one more spare battery and raise this number up to ~50 km.
Is the wave riot an easy batter to take on and off? For my voyager that feat would be a pain because of the grip tape and no way to unscrew the battery unless I peel the grip tape
@@FactsOverFeeings on Wave changing battery takes like 10 seconds: hold the button near front truck, shift battery down and remove it, then plug in fresh one - and you are done.
@@FactsOverFeeings but tbh in last days after a group ride with my friends on scooters i changed my mind. we drove more than 40 km and after it i was tired because of lack of cushioning and heavy backpack. i decided to look at something more suitable for a long rides like Endeavor 2 GT/Pro. will see
DO IT man just if you are i would order it now because they say that once their stock from china comes in that they anticipate it will sell out fast. Im still waiting for my order and its June 21 already ordered on the 6th. they said it would be 20 days out from China due to clearing customs. Everything about the pro is where its at for a shortboard. Dont get discouraged about what to choose go with the mini 3 pro.
It feels like losing a significant amount of acceleration and braking power. Not likely to throw you off but braking distance becomes much longer, so still best to avoid.
I got the Mini 3 pro and it really is too much power for me. If you are doing crazy hills, I can see maybe you need the power, but its so much power, its harder to control. I wish I got the normal Mini 3 just because normal sized motors may be easier to control. If you twitch on the throttle, it can throw off your balance and its scarey. Its funny that you said speed mode 1 is enough, i felt the same thing. I dont even want to know what 4 is like. The GREAT thing about this board is that you can customize the remote to respond differently, which I knocked the power way down and its easily controllable now. So, I think the power is not needed by me at all. I assume smaller motors use less power, so that and cost are my reasons. For me, big battery is required, I ride miles along the beach and need it. So, big battery is a huge deal to me, I do not care about weight. Also, the hydro wheels arent that different, so I got the offroad kit to try the 150 air wheels, and they are great, but the trucks for the offroad kit shove the rear axle back so far you cannot use the kicktail and the kicktail is required, so I also bought the wide axles that were not pushed back so I can use the kicktail with big wheels. So, that will arrive soon hopefully, and I may have a nice small board I like with big 150mm air wheels. I may switch to 165mm rovers. I dont like air tires already. The board is also a bit high up with the offroad kit. I am going to lower it, which is easy by removing the risers. I love the options, this is a really nice board and the price is good and the battery is good. The power is crazy. Its exciting, but I dont need it and debate even buying the smaller motors. I really like the board.
Yeah. For most people, the Tynee mini 3 is totally enough. The Tynee mini 3 is a good balance, not too heavy but has long range and great torque, and the Tynee mini 3 pro is more suitable for riders who are heavy or frequently need to climb hills and require extreme torque.
good review. def went over the stuff i needed to hear. the "brake pad" is referred to in the longboard scene as skid plates (assuming they are made of umhw)
My exay riot truck broke and is stuck in the part so I'm glad I just found out the next board I buy the Tybee pro 3 will be able to fit eh extra 15 belts I have laying around.
I would really want to see that video about battery cells, as far as i know many brands state that they are using cells by reputable brands, like Samsung 40T, but in fact they are using clones of those cells.
I had an Evolve Bamboo GTX a few years ago, but I sold it as it wouldn't fit in a gym locker easily. What's the best short board in your opinion that offers great power & quality? I don't like bulky boards, i'm thinking one of the Exway boards: Wave Nasa or X1 Max Hub. What's your recommendation if you only have one for short commutes & fun?
My personal go-to is Exway Wave but not sure it fits your idea of “great power”. Tynee Mini 3/3 Pro are significantly more powerful but also more chunky - maybe overkill for a short commute. X1 Max is quite nice as a slim longboard-like board.
With the Track Width, I'm seriously considering how I want to put Hollow Wheels on the thing & see how it feels close to looking like an F-1 car..... With that range, I would absolutely use it as a commuter board. Though honestly, it's going to be quite a while before I can personally afford that setup.... Which I really want to try. Also, having an OuterNative JackBag is an exceptionally nice way to consolidate weight.... Jacket+Bag.... It's really a breakthrough, especially when you get the Sports model with the padding for the Back, Elbows, & Shoulders.
It actually has a riser pad, but if we use 105mm wheels, we need to tighten the truck a bit. If we tighten the truck very loosely, the 105mm wheel may have a little wheel bit, because the torque of the Mini 3 is very strong. Usually, we tighten the truck a bit to maintain better high-speed stability, and use Kicktail to turn in areas that require sharp turns.
With the belt covers, does this thing become beach worthy? Thinking in areas with hard packed sand like Daytona. Those tires look wide enough for the beach.
If the board doesn’t appear in the Tuya app, try this to reset the remote: with the remote on, pull back on the throttle (brake) and click the speed mode button 8 times in a row.

Not 100% agree with weight. Of course I want them to be as light as possible, but on the other hand like you said, you get more range and need to charge em less -> longer battery life (less lifecycles used). But it's personal. I always wanted a Stoke competitor with better range. What would be a nice thing for some is a flight approved battery maybe. This would give everyone the option. How is more range and power not a good selling point? I'm pretty sure the whole reason new boards even come out in the first place is to reach the goal of unlimited range and power (not literally) without compromising the size of the deck or weight. Yeah sure it's great to have customized features in an app but at the end of the day we all want that one board that has no limit to power and range in the smallest sized package as possible.

Your mileage may vary ofc just my opinion.
Daniel, 50% hill climb is 26,6 degrees. 100% equals 45 degrees.
My conversion calculator says 50% gradient = 45 degrees… Are we using different units?
"Sure" Kwan.
Closing the drive belts slots are to me so obvious. Why most companies don't do it?
Your voice sounds strained.
This i see is a "glorified" boosted mini x with extra punch. The board alone looks like a mini x with upgraded parts.
I WANT TO SEE THE EXWAY RIPPLE REVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kicktail is too tiny. No nose either. Would need a deck-swap for these reasons. Aside from that the specs are great! Just a shitty deck.
woah first comment
EXWAY RIPPLE!!!!!!!!!
I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.
I don't get it🤤
Hi DKWAN I have a Onsra black carve 3 and I search a good Mini Board since a Long Time ago with same performance... So I take Mini Pro? it's better for mountain?🏔️🇨🇭🙌
Not the most innovative board in the world. It is _heavily_ inspired by the Boosted Mini X.
