It isn't just you...the faces in the Klara Markova books are too creepy for me. I burst out laughing during this portion of your discussion, partly because I have felt like I'm the only one who feels this way. It's good to know i'm in good company. Love your channel! Keep up the good work! Have a great day!
I've never purchased one for this exact reason! just.. 'something' always feels creepy doll to me
Me too. I don't understand the popularity, other than the hardcover and thick paper.
I’m thinking about destashing mine as well. I might try putting white labels cut in the eye or face shape and redrawing them. The weird snowmen and gingerbread men are just weird!
Wow
Thank you for sharing all these books with us Erica, I really love what you do with the pages in Boules de Poils. Uncoloured they are such simple drawings but when you get hold of them they are simply amazing! Thank you💖
Thank you so much!
Hi Erica beautiful colouring books thank you for sharing ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊xxxx
Thank you!!!❤️
What a gorgeous collection of books 😍😍 we WILL finish the page from small world colouring together this year! 😂💕
Yes! I will send you a message about it here soon ☺️Thanks for watching!!
You are such a great colorist! I loved every page!
Thank you so much, I appreciate you watching! 😊
Enjoyed seeing this part of your collection, especially the finished pages - so gorgeous. I understand completely about the Klara Markova books, but I hope you'll keep them and either color the ones you like, or work your drawing/changing magic on what you don't like. Of course do what feels best about keeping vs purging in your collection! For me, it's Deborah Muller that I have trouble with. I finished Hocus Pocus, but will probably never finish Fairy Merry Christmas. I hate to say it, but her drawings are creepy. After all of these years, she never figured out how to draw hands and how to position body parts. The lips are hideous! Still, there are many cute ones that I adore! Go figure!
Yeah, Deborah Muller is another I had some issues with but I do like her portraits. I’m really going to try with the Klara books. Thanks for watching ❤️
Hi, great books! I love all your pages in Boules de Poils, they are stunning! I'm still struggling with my Inktense, but I'll get there. If you feel like it, would you do a little colour along or tutorial in the Wald und Natur book? I have it, but I haven't coloured in it yet and I think Inktense would look wonderful. Enjoy your colouring ❤️
I will add that to my list of videos for sure. I think that would be a cute book for a color along ☺️
@Elmcolors Yes, definitely! Boules de Poils too. But only if you want to and if you have time ❤️
I don’t like the solid black eyes either. I am going to try to use acrylic paint markers to cover the black.
That is what I’m going to try as well I think. ☺️ Thanks for watching!!
How did you find that title page in Ausmalriese? Did it give you problems? I've considered buying it but I've heard water doesn't work well, the paper is thinner than it should be for the price... and many reports of those Topps books falling apart. I gather the point was to get them to lay flat, but it completely defeats the purpose if they fall apart while they do it. I could get around the falling apart since I spiral bind all my books, although they are bound very strangely. I think my print shop could get it sorted, they would just have to take the cover off separately. I do love the illustrations, they remind me of vintage children's books, which just beg for watercolor.
Where did you get your Klara markova books I want at least one of them they are so beautiful but I cannot find them thanks kim😊
I believe they are on Etsy.
Hi Kim ☺️ I got my books from her Etsy shop. www.etsy.com/shop/elfi74 Hope this helps!
