“Aqua”
Oratorio para coro, solistas y orquesta
It is an oratorio that speaks about the importance and relevance of "water" for all human-beings throughout time.
It is a poetic journey through memories of characters who are archetypes (current and timeless at the same time). Memories of common people, towns, cultures and civilizations that live, prosper, decay, die, reborn because of the presence (the excess, the complete lack, etc), the good and bad sides of waters.
It is a tribute in 5 movements to the greatness of "water". We find in AQUA the "water" that give us life, and also the one that takes life from us. We see the suffering of thirsty people in complete lack of water, and we see the joy of a "favela" with the arrival of the rain, the cleansing of the soul. The anguish of a mother who has lost her child in a flooding, and the contrast of a celebration of all rivers merging into the big ocean, singing to deities and gods of the waters, oceans and seas.

Es una obra que habla de las aguas del mundo, y de su importancia a través de la historia para todo ser humano. Es un viaje poético por la memoria de personajes que son arquetipos, actuales y eternos a la vez, de gente común, de pueblos y culturas que viven, prosperan, decaen y se renuevan por la presencia, el exceso, la carencia o el don de las aguas.
Es un tributo a la grandeza del agua expuesto en cinco movimientos. "La Voz del Origen, Invocación de los Ríos, Los Caminos de la Sed, Y Llegaron las Lluvias, y Río Abajo". En "Aqua" nos encontramos con el agua que nos da la vida y el agua que nos la quita. Vemos la angustia de un pueblo ante una sequía, y la alegría de un barrio al llegar las lluvias, sentimos el sufrimiento de una madre al perder su niña frente a la crecida de un río, y celebramos espiritualmente el encuentro de las aguas de todos los ríos en el mar.
