It's a fine old Truck especially for around 80 after being sent to War . I'm 54 from Dutch WWII survivors. They are gone. That old girl sounds woundful. I'm falling apart early from going the extra mile. Andy's wonderful for keeping her up.
Like old Trucks and Truckers we all should have a Andy not to put us out to pasture. Just to kick our tires to wake us up grease up our moving parts give us new spark plugs then take a spin around the block for exersize. Good on ya both!!!
Are you SURE this is a 1944 GMC CCKW 353 ? It looks more like a 1942 model . Hard Cab trucks were ended in late 43 and also this truck looks like its equipped with "Timken" differentials rather than 'Dana" diffs equipped , which also date this truck . Most all 1944 and 1945 GMC dueces are Open Cabs with Dana Differentials . This truck is in Wonderful shape , If I didnt already have Two of them , I would definitely be Interested ! Thanks Cheers !!
That's what the details on the registration documents lists the vehicle as. And as far as we can tell, this is the description when it was released for sale by the military.

Yeah it's a great old truck. If I didn't have my own projects going on I'd be buying it myself.

Many were rebuilt after ww2 and you can put either cab on. I have 2 with closed cabs from Nov 1942 and Jan 1943
Great, send it to Ukraine! Good replacement.
How much is it? Still around?
Hi no the truck has sold.
