I've listened to this mix so many times since its release that I probably heard it like 50 times. It never gets old. The ending is so emotional. Very unique style. Her imagination must be beautifully complex.

Ich war in den 90er viel in Frankfurt unterwegs bein Sven Väth,Dag,Taller......
So in den 2000er konnte ich nicht mehr viel mit Techno anfangen,aber seit dem ich das erste mal Charlotte de Witte gesehen habe komme ich mir vor wie in alten Zeiten.
Bei ihr ist ein Set besser als das andere und dann die Location der Hammer.
Ich hoffe wir können bald wieder in die Clubs,muss mal wieder zappeln.
Dann sehen wir uns im Tanzhaus 🤪

Charlotte has the most interesting use of drums and synth sounds I've heard since the start of disco and electronic dance music. EDM (IMHO) has had very limited use of drum sounds (very boring for real percussionists), EDM producers basically use drums as a metronome sound, which is ridiculous, considering the endless possiblities and rich sonic/timbral history of drums in tribal cultures and their dances. this is awsome every 4x4 is a diffrent sound for the drums, no modern edm does not use diffrent drums more diffrent toned drums, like modern edm will have one drum diffrent tones, this has diffrent drums not as much diffrent tones, also this is old techno style so its based on the drums modern edm at defqon 1 or tomorrowland is set to be more about the screeches and hits,,,, charlotte de witte, thank you for playing this its made my day hearing good music
