I loved playing this in the arcade back in the day. There used to be an arcade called Capcom Station in Fukuoka, Japan that I always go to and play this.
There's 3 ports, PS1, Saturn, Wonderswan, and of course it was on SF Alpha Anthology PS2, and is once again on modern consoles, so it is starting to come around. It was better to just get 1 version of this, probably created as a fun project by the Darkstalkers team, and not meant for a hundred revisions, like Street Fighter.
this game is really easy, it's actually much more fun if you figure out all the ridiculous poses and cosplay moves (not the three basic specials) and finish the match with those special moves 😂 This is by far the funniest game when you have someone to play with. I hope they do a remake or sequel of this someday.
They should make this compatible with a Places video or remake the game altogether with HD graphics just like they did with a lot of the characters in puzzle fighter which is also a classic game me and my sister had a lot of fun battling and positive and pacifier
And it's also way more simpler than the other three fires such as refund of 4 V for iPhone weather is way simpler than three fighter for I recommend both for beginners
They kept the name Pocket Fighters for the US PS1 release, the only time the US got the game under it's original name. It was released also for the Saturn and the Wonderswan, but left in Japan. It would get released here again on the PS2 in Street Fighter Alpha Anthology, but sadly Capcom went with the western name this time as the game is pretty much just emulation (Capcom could've just tweaked the title screen and call it Pocket Fighters, but didn't).
PS2 version is the best physical copy version, on Alpha Anthology as it is the arcade game emulated, with no load times. It got re-released again, but not sure if on physical media, and again emulated.
