- Nearly a year after Christine Brown left behind her plural marriage of 26 years to Kody Brown, as well as her fundamentalist Mormon faith, the 'Sister Wives' star says she's never been happier.
"I get to live life for me," Christine, 50, says in the latest issue of PEOPLE. "My whole world has changed, and every single cell in my body is happier."

I love hearing her say how she never realized how complicated her life was before breaking free of Kody and the restrictions that come with that. She looks so much more relaxed, happy and well, she just glows.
She sounds like me. I didn't realize how complicated my old life was until my ex-husband walked out and I had to do my own thing.

Im so happy for Christine. She looks very happy and her kids all seem to be as well.
Her kids have problems. Her daughter is terrified of her oldest son. She said he hit her and she's refuses to be in the same room as him. She announced this on her social media. Her son is a military guy, very large, and extremely right wing beliefs. So things are not great. Christine has said she will try to work on getting her daughter to be around her son again, but that is so wrong. She shouldn't have to be around her abuser.

I’m 53 in December lol. Yes it’s certainly a time in life where you finally figure out who your are and what you want in life, your sick of the bullshit. Shame you don’t get it till around this age. All those tough times you go through are certainly the building blocks or foundations for getting to a place of awareness. I don’t regret anything and my early life was very difficult, but I wouldn’t change it for anything as it really has helped me to be a more empathetic, strong and non judgemental person. Just a shame I can bust out the moves on the dance floor like I used yo lol

It's so true that you don't know life can be any different when you're in a difficult marriage whether or not it's plural. You could see her fun bubbly side before, but she was also always stressed or weighed down. She tried so hard to have the marriage that she wanted and deserved, but that situation is just way too complicated and he was never the best match for her from the start. She's smart to take time for herself. You don't need a partner to be happy and the best relationship will only happen when you feel totally happy on your own and don't need anyone else to make you feel good. I'm so glad she has a wonderful peaceful life now. She deserves all the best.

I have loved her since she was first introduced to the public. I am so happy to see her happy.
I 100% love this! Everything she’s saying and expressing. I’m so happy for her. I think when she couldn’t explain some of what she’s feeling, I think of the word, “freedom”. She’s free to live her life free of what was holding her down. She’s learned boundaries and to keep toxic people out of her life, that she’s in charge of her life and can make it exactly how she wants it. Above all, she’s still loved completely by God and her spirit seems to radiate and glow. I live in Utah too and there are sooo many things you can do here, so I’m glad she’s enjoying doing things and being with her kids. Love her being spontaneous too.

Being married to one person is tough, but I can only imagine what it's like in polygamy. Also, she got married way too young. i'm a firm believer that folks need to wait, focus on their lives (education, work, experiencing life) and then settle down in marriage (if it's for them). She was a young woman who not only got married but married into a polygamous relationship and probably was never truly able to find herself as a person. As she got older she realized what she truly wanted and needed and who she was. You need those years when you're a young adult.
Christine seems so much happier now. I’m glad she left Kody. Just seeing the smile on her face and how she is speaking about her life really makes me happy for her.
