You can use the two tiny holes in the stencil to tie it firmly to the racket.
Tip: you don't really need to ink both sides with polyester strings. Over time, it diffuses through the string. Saves you a lot of ink in the end.
How long would it take to diffuse through ?
@@kristophernguyen9791 Couple of days, a week. Depends on the string and how thick you ink it.
this helps
Didn't know you guys offered stenciling on a racquet, don't remember ever seeing that option. Do you charge extra for it? BTW, am I the only one who hates the new Volkl logo?
@William Dobbs,
Yes, we can stencil a racquet when being purchased and strung by us. It is ideal to call our customer service line 1-800-883-6647, or Racquet Expert line 1-800-799-9230, and have the representative add the instructions to your order.
Troy, TW
Yes you are the only one that hates it.
The old logo was clearly a "ski tip" pointing up - crossed with a letter "V" which was slightly smaller than the ski tip. Now this thing is too squared off to be a ski tip and looks like two X's. "XX" what is that....20?
Do I order it first before calling?
My stringer got the paint on my actual racquet frame for my rf97 how can I take it off
Without messing up the paint from the actual racquet
I have typically found that some rubbing alcohol, and a towel, with a firm rub down typically works and doesn't seem to effect the actual paint surface, at least when I have tried it. Troy, TW
Will spray paint work? And how long does the ink last?
I have tried using spray paint, while covering the frame to make sure the paint doesn't get on it. It looks really good at first, but then as soon as you start hitting balls, the paint wears off quickly. We use the paint pens/markers that we sell on our website. The ink will typically hold up somewhere between 5-10 sessions, depending on how centered the stencil is to the sweet-spot. You can always easily go back and touch it up, to keep the stencil looking fresh, even if the strings aren't. Troy, TW
@Tennis Warehouse ok thank you will this affect the performance of the racket at all overtime?
@@edgardeleon2812,
We have not noticed a difference in performance, from the stencil ink. Troy, TW
ok thank you, so the logo is mirrored on a racket on the other side. Doing a Dunlop right now I'll mirror it on the other side
Yes, so when you flip the racquet over the Dunlop arrow, should be pointing in that same direction. Troy, TW
if I want to use black stencil ink, what color of string would look best ? white, silver? I am using Dunlop CX 400 Tour. Thank you.
Either of those, white or red should show up well, unless it is more like a darker shade or red like a burgundy. The bright colored strings usually work really well with black ink, but really any lighter color. We use Hyper-G a lot, and it pop really well with the black ink. Yonex Poly Tour Pro is bright yellow, and that pops well with the black ink. Any particular strings you were thinking about using? Troy, TW
Does the ink have some negative effect on the strings? like the strings beeing softer or something
@Tobias Christensen,
We haven't found it to change performance of the strings. The ink wears off after a few hitting sessions.
Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Greetings. Can i use a permanent sharpie marker???
@@jaydubb2005 We haven't tried that, and not too sure how well that would show, and hold to the string surface. Troy, TW
is there any color besides red that looks good on a green string like hyper g?
I typically like the Black ink on Hyper-G green. We've tried white but that color of ink doesn't really pop on the green, and the white ink pens are tougher to use. Haven't really tried any other colors, so I would likely go red or black on Hyper-G. Troy, TW
What stencil color will show better on the black (poly) main and white/natural cross? I have applied red and seems not coming up.
@Man Mohan Sharma,
You're likely best off going with black colored ink. At least that is what I have seen pro players do with a black/natural colored hybrid. Troy, TW
Is it ok to stencil on natural gut? keep seeing conflicting info online, would love your opinion guys.
Thanks so much
Pros do it often, so I would say yes! But can understand the other opinion as well! You do you! ;)
Michelle, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks Michelle! I can't wait to see your review on the new Pro Staff! I wonder if you're going to make the switch away from the RF97 to the PS ;)
How badly does the ink on the stencils rub off on to your tennis balls
Can I use acrylic paint?
@Kahlel Torres,
We would recommend sticking with whatever paint is made for stenciling strings and in the tubes for stencils!
Michelle, TW
Which ink do you recommend
@Jose Yarur,
The Gamma Stencil Ink works well.
Troy, TW
How to limit ink stains on the ball, it is a bad thing.
why don’t you review synthetic gut strings?
@11lawpt1,
Most of our string reviews, are co-poly and multifilament synthetic strings. We have reviewed a couple of solid core synthetic strings such as, ruclips.net/video/M48vz9FIbfs/видео.html, ruclips.net/video/mvza6FN3AxU/видео.html. Alpha Gut 2000 is another review we have done, and is somewhat in the synthetic gut solid core price range. ruclips.net/video/LOYu3dsUCBA/видео.html.

Is that the new Völkl logo? Ew.
Yes, Volkl has updated their logo to this one. Troy, TW
I was bummed about it too. It's too simplified and kinda squared off and wide. I would've liked it a little pointier and have the V's be offset vertically like it used to be.
Tennis Warehouse is the worst! I have to stencil my own racket even though they said they'd do it...horrible service!
Sorry to hear about that. If you contact our customer service department, we will try to reconcile the situation, Toll Free US: 1.800.883.6647 or e-mail: info@tennis-warehouse.com. Troy, TW
Running out of ideas
@Baboblaster 1267,
Not at all.
We've been asked several times, figured it might help someone out there!
Happy Friday!
Michelle, TW
which ink do you recommend?
@11lawpt1,
We typically use Gamma Stencil Ink for Black and Red, and the Babolat Babol Color Stencil Ink for White.
