The gearbox between the seats is the high-low transfer box and the reverse/forward changeover, the "proper" 4-speed gearbox is at the rear of the car, in the load bay
I found one at Walmart for Half of the original price just because the box was a little busted but all the pieces are there. I'm building it for now. It's super complex. I can't even believe that this is a lego
I have the porche model, and it has the same problem with the steering mechanism, i.e. I feel as if the steering has jammed, and I am worried to apply more force. Moreover, its back wheel suspension has a unusually high sideway play. Its disappointing to see that because the back wheels do not remain perfectly parallel, and they can wobble. Also, if you turn the front wheels completely, and if you apply some force to any one suspension of the wheel then you will notice that the wheel touches the carbody. Do you see the same problem in this model? Would you please mention these points in your next videos?
assuming you did something wrong bc mine is completely stable , steering is smooth , & rear suspension is sturdy and bot noticeably higher than the front , on either model & my bugatti as well
I wish........ I've just built the Defender as a "mirror image" to get right-hand drive as I live in the UK, and the designer who has his own RUclips channel said it could be done. Lockdown and losing my job due to covid meant I started buying a few Lego Technic kits to help pass the time, after an approximate 40 year gap from when I last bought Lego (that gives you an idea of my age!) Fortunately I now have a new job but not time to start my own channel! Stay safe and take care
I just bought this used on eBay for $85. I was telling my fiance that I was on step 310 or something she found quite ridiculous. However, with 860 steps in the guide it's a long and arduous build. Man, this is a far cry from Expert Builder sets from back in the day that could pique your imagination to build anything. These new technic sets seems overly complicated and feel like bags of confetti instead of substantial parts and shapes. Don't get me wrong - in my 50's it keeps me level and occupied because my other hobbies are WAYYY more pricey.
yeah, I’m 38 and started buying those.. I bought thousands of dollars of them.. I still haven’t built the blue Bugatti.. I stopped making Lego videos because you get a lot of stupid nerds correcting you instead of realizing that I’m making the video to show people is it really worth the money.. the Lamborghini is like 10 times worse than the defender.. i think the old model team sets were better but they look so dated now and people want too much money for them

It took me some days as well...but when I got done! I felt like I had climbed Mt. Everest! I really love this build.
