I remove the loose rotted material before applying the wood restorer. Then apply the wood restorer. Then use Bondo wood patch. I wouldn't use this on floor joist or roof rafters since they support weight. Have a professional replace the rotted floor joist. You need to figure out where all that water is leaking from and fix that issue.
Thanks for the video. I've used Bondo on the fascia boards and if it gets wet again then the wood beneath it rots and comes loose. I guess this (wood restorer) acts like a primer & sealant. I have the same issue like you, the plywood floor is flaky and pulverize wood. If I can fill the joist with Bondo and have it adhere, then I should have enough surface to support my plywood flooring. The good thing about Bondo it that it doesn't "rot". Totally "toxic" but it the easiest way out. Thanks ...
I find it is very hard to reopen the cap. I believe the materials at the mouth of bottle, once dried out, make the cap stick to the bottle so tightly. Any advice?
Use channel lock pliers to twist it off. Then clean the cap and threads (wipe it all out, and use acetone/mineral spirits on a brush and do all the threads) before you put the cap back on next time, to avoid it “gluing” itself shut.

Yes exactly! Found the water leak on any outdoor electrical box and joist was reinforced with new wood!

Yes you are spot on! Best of luck with your repairs!

Pilars!
Acetone

Any chance you have tips on just opening the lid
Pilars lol
Lol! As noted, pliers may work but adding heat (on the lid only) would help as well.
Coat the threads with pipe dope. Old plumbers hack.
you're supposed to remove all of the crumby stuff first.
I wanted to keep as much as I could since it just goes to outside lol
I would have used a spray bottle... just sayin
Yes me too... lots of regret here lol
