They were becoming unhappy because they don't fit well together. You can tell that Jesse has issues with the breakup and Jennifer has moved on. They stayed together a lot longer than they should have because of the vlogs and their financial situation being tied to being " the prankster couple " together. As anecdotal as the evidence is since we only see a relatively small portion of their everyday selves when they aren't " performing " for the camera,, but you can see that Jesse is clearly that class clown type of person. He is so 100% goofy/eccentric that you either find him hilarious or annoying as fuck. All that while Jennifer seems to be way more chill and private type of personality, it doesn't mesh well. You can further see how polar opposites they are after they split in their personal vlogs. Jesse has gone off the rails a bit mentally/emotionally and Jennifer is much more together. I get the impression that Jen had to really work hard on keeping up with Jesse's eccentric behavior and it wore her down. Combine that with how Jen seems to have a short fuse with bullshit, even though she probably exggerated it heavily during the vlogs, I bet it made for a lot of tense moments.

Jesse had some family issues and it was at that point, I feel, that they decided to settle shit out separately. When you ignore clear signs of something that is ruining your relationship... well, obviously, it won't end well.

There have been studies done that in general, women during a break up tend to be open about it when it occurs by expressing their emotions and talking about it with friends and family. They talk about it and take the time to cry and express every emotion that they may have. As for males, especially in western culture, we tend to hold our emotions in which is never a good thing. During the initial breakup, men will try to move forward and ignore their feelings by distracting themselves and giving the impression that they are not hurt by it. So in the beginning males will seem fine because they hold their emotions in but in the end, it haunts them and affects them in the long run since they haven't released their true feelings. This is good for jesse and if he wants to move on in a healthy manner, he should talk openly about his emotions with his friends and family and not bury it.

Regardless of who broke up with who, they both were constantly fighting with the other. The pranks they pulled on each other eroded their trust in one another. They lied to each other when pulling these “pranks” that weren’t all that funny when you really thought of how it affected the person being pranked. It got to the point that they made each other miserable. Love is not enough. If there isn’t trust, support, and respect then you don’t have a good, healthy relationship.
I think a reason why it's so painful is Jesse starts to think, "How am I ever going to achieve anything greater than THIS with any other woman? We've been through so much. Will I be able to open up or will she always come to mind when I try to have an adventure with another lover. Is it even fair to the new person that comes along with me thinking these things?" I always feel for Jesse whenever they hangout again because his pain is so real. This must be torture, and I respect Jesse so much for being able to continue on and do well for himself after enduring such loss.

They stayed together a lot longer than they should have because of the vlogs and their financial situation being tied to being " the prankster couple " together.
As anecdotal as the evidence is since we only see a relatively small portion of their everyday selves when they aren't " performing " for the camera,, but you can see that Jesse is clearly that class clown type of person. He is so 100% goofy/eccentric that you either find him hilarious or annoying as fuck. All that while Jennifer seems to be way more chill and private type of personality, it doesn't mesh well.
You can further see how polar opposites they are after they split in their personal vlogs. Jesse has gone off the rails a bit mentally/emotionally and Jennifer is much more together. I get the impression that Jen had to really work hard on keeping up with Jesse's eccentric behavior and it wore her down. Combine that with how Jen seems to have a short fuse with bullshit, even though she probably exggerated it heavily during the vlogs, I bet it made for a lot of tense moments.

As for males, especially in western culture, we tend to hold our emotions in which is never a good thing. During the initial breakup, men will try to move forward and ignore their feelings by distracting themselves and giving the impression that they are not hurt by it. So in the beginning males will seem fine because they hold their emotions in but in the end, it haunts them and affects them in the long run since they haven't released their true feelings.

Regardless of who broke up with who, they both were constantly fighting with the other. The pranks they pulled on each other eroded their trust in one another. They lied to each other when pulling these “pranks” that weren’t all that funny when you really thought of how it affected the person being pranked. It got to the point that they made each other miserable. Love is not enough. If there isn’t trust, support, and respect then you don’t have a good, healthy relationship.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say, I’d much rather you guys turn the camera off forever and be happy together, than to continue RUclips and torture yourselves being apart.
